"SHOCKING NEWS !!!", MAYOR AND WIFE GO SEPARATE WAYS

At 4:00 PM, KFI announced that Mayor Villaraigosa and his wife, Corine, have "SEPARATED" after twenty years of marriage.

It has been well documented the "UPs and Downs" of their twenty year union. Plus the "BLOGGIN COMMUNITY" has done a through job of tracking the recent absent of the couple in public.

Well bloggers, lets start the "CUT AND PASTE!!"

If smearing a family while they go through this very personal time in their lives gives you some sort of pleasure.

Then you will remain in my prayers.

They've been separated well over a year but the lazy LA reporters failed to put it on paper. Now he wants privacy, pleaseeeeeeeeee I thought Antonio was living at the Getty by himself with his young party girls and Corina and kids were at Mt. Washington house. Guess not according to Slimes

...Each of us loves our children more than anything in the world, and we are committed to working together for their benefit," Villaraigosa said in a statement. "I ask that the media and the public respect our privacy through this painful period of transition."

Mayor Sam, Red Spot, Captain, Walter someone said that Antonio did this because now that he's Hillary Clinton co-chair national campaign the Republicans are finding dirt on him and Fabian who already is in trouble for campaign donations and this is Antonio's way of trying to beat them to the punch. What's your take?

We knew this scumbag wouldn't honor his commitment to City Council.

Or his duties as Mayor.

It is no surprise that he wouldn't honor his commitment to keep his family together. In an age of divorce, P-L-E-N-T-Y of people STAY MARRIED.

Antonio couldn't even honor his promise to his children.

Personally, I don't know which story I am less interested in: Paris Hilton's jail thing, or the mayor's divorce? People who are happy and using this as an opportunity to slam him, are taking things personal.

Common. How many people get divorced these days who work in cubicles all day? Sure, Tony's character sucks. We already knew that.

Now if you are a councilmember screwing someone in your district that you work on city business with...feel free to hammer away if you find evidence of conflict of interest. But not for cheating with someone that doesn't present a conflict.

I know, I know...Antonio's a scumbag and he deserves what ever he gets...and now you're gonna feel compelled to post more bad sh*t to prove why.

It's not like I care, one way, or the other. All I know is there is , once again, a complete media blackout regarding anything that will actually affect you, one way or the other.

I'm more upset he is spending ONE SECOND campaigning for Hillary.

I guess he doesn't have anything to do, now that he is done challenging AB 1381 in court, and doesn't have to think about how to spend that infrastructure money we didn't get, or how he probably hasn't called Carol Baker Tharp to find out what the hell is going on with the NC system citywide as reported on the blogs, or why hasn't Richard Alarcon had another meeting about the schools, on his Education Committee, or how come Eric Garcetti has allowed Council to become such a joke of the media, or how the mayor's "dumb growth" may kick you out of your house and into gridlock traffic, why Mark Brown is such an ignorant loser (he is ignorant of the constitution -- ask Federal Judge). Ask Antonio what the public benefit is of all these massive billion dollar boondoggle downtown area projects by CRA (Community Robbing Assholes) like LA River (Condorodo River), Grand Ave, LA Life are?

SO THE LAST THING I CARE ABOUT IS PARIS HILTON OR THE MAYOR'S LOVE LIFE!!! Huh...huh...huh...Paris Hilton was all John & Ken and Mark "Mr K" Germain were talking about.

Here's what I think about Paris Hilton, y'all...[insert mayor's love life, too.]

Being single could hurt his re-election or run for Governor. He really used his wife and kids in his campaign. The fact that she was a teacher was a big selling point. Maybe he'll force her to campaign for him when that time comes.

I feel bad for Corina but she's much better off. I hope she eventually finds a great guy who treats her with respect and truly cares for her. She deserves it.

I've met Antonio quite a few times. He's a scum bag personally. He's a true politician. He would just tell me what I wanted to hear to get campaign contributions and votes. Of course I only cared that he pushed my issues so I guess I used him too. What a world.

A divorce is a private affair. Corina is a darn good woman.

But the CAUSE if the divorce. Ah, very public.

You see, you dumbass Antonio Kool-Aid drinkers, here's what you overlook.

If a wife divorced her husband because she discovered him molesting their children, that is a CAUSE.

And people have a right to know about causes / symptoms because they tell about one's CHARACTER.

A cheater = a liar.

Once a cheater, always a cheater.

Once a liar, always a liar.

You can't trust Antonio. Cheated on his wife when she thought she was dying of cancer.

Irony is, some dumbasses might actually like him more for this. You know, the Hollywood weirdos that have screwed up private lives. They like to know that others do too.

But just remember: Once a cheater, always a cheater.

Good luck Hillary.

The widespread rumor is that the Mayor hasnt learned from his previous strays. The word around City Hall is that he is having a affair with Mirthala Salinas, political news reporter for Telemundo, and that it has been going on for some time now.

Why all the effort for public schools when he sends his son to a private, all-boys Catholic high school? (The same is true for Ridley-Thomas.)

He can't stop from putting his mug before the cameras to tell LA citizens to "conserve" water and everything else, but when it comes to him personally...the media must stay away.

In the words of a former LA Herald Examiner scribe, he's "bogus stats." RIP Frank!

There is nothing wrong with divorce. Sometimes it is the best thing in a family. This is a country of second chances, in Tony's case, even 5th or 8th chances.

But there is something wrong with someone who pretends to be a "family man" for the sake of political expediency. Tony and his consultants made him out to be a family man when for all intents and purposes this marriage was over in 1994 when Corina first filed for divorce. This points directly to the character of a person. What kind of man would enter into a committed arrangement only to shame and disrespect the other partner in a cess pool of selfish behavior, then turn around and profess his family credentials to a suckered public.

Too bad Tony didn't apply his self proclaimed discipline ethic to his family or his wife. A man's family is a direct reflection of his integrity - especially in our Mexicano community. All should be sacrfiiced for your family - a family shouldn't be sacrificed for your personal "all".

He should remember that few on his staff are loyal to him, and all they want is to have his name on their resume. Once it's been on there long enough to show that they can survive, they're out the door before you know it. There's a lot of turnover in his staff, which is something that doesn't happen in a dedicated team

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it is what it is.

as someone who went thru this, tho not under the spotlight of gossips who claimed they were really just concerned cuz of character, yeah:

I stayed w/ a guy I increasingly had nothing in commone with and couldn't stand for too many years "for the sake of our kids," but my deepening despondence, the feeling that duty is cutting me off from feeling and real life... got so bad that my kids (8 & 11) finally begged us to divorce, cuz they liked each of us separately, when we were happy and ourselves, but the forced effort of putting on a public face for their school etc. was unbearable.

Now, they also don't have to pretend to the outside world that mommy and daddy are happy, and they are natural and happy kids.
They have two loving parents who are always there for them. We all feel so free from the pretense, that their dad and I can finally be friends, not resent each other.

Working thru to that point can take some time, give them that.

It's not a life for everyone, she's an ordinary teacher and that's hat she wants to stay apparently. stick to your claim that it's irrelevant, cuz it is. If you don't like the guy for what he does for the city, that's fair, and that's all the LAT needed to know. It's not the Inquirer.

As for the bill clinton comp: he and Hillary both crave the limelight and power and can't stand to be in the same house together so only the White House w/ its perks and power is big enough for them.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen (removes hat and bows low with flourish):

When one runs for political office, the first question his advisors ask is "How strong is your marriage? If it isn't strong, then bow out NOW." And when the question was asked of Villabarbosa, the answer was an obvious bow-out. Why? Perhaps the man is vying for a chance to be Number Two. Or perhaps he's going to run for Senate. Or perhaps he's going to cut is losses now and run before there's not much left to cut, savvy? Or perhaps someone else's team wants no chance of overloading the baggage cart. But then again, them that fall into that category have no baggage. They have freight.

In the not too distant past, which was pre-Don Jose, if you will, someone asked me if it was true that while the Mrs. was occupying the family home, the Councilman was living in an apartment alone, or at the very least spending more time there than elsewhere. Now I'm the last person to verify the veracity of something like that. But I did remark that I thought it was interesting that someone from another CM's office would ask me that question, savvy?

And about the Mrs., we pirates respect her a great deal. She's an extremely capable educator, polite and truly absolutely nice. Not nicey-nice but rather nice. I still think that whomever the chap is that is there to pick up the pieces is one lucky bloke. I only wish it could be me, but my heart belongs to the sea and she can be a wicked mistress. Not as wicked as someone else's mistress whom will be attending a private party for the purposes of being eyes, ears and perhaps a bit of bait for them that fish in other men's ponds, savvy?

Let us see what the week brings, for pirates will be in places where information that is hard to get will be readily available. Lock up that credenza and left bottom desk drawer, sot lest you become another ex that leaves a spot.

Oh, and Mr. Spot? The Bard and the rudderman find your comments amusing. They seem to like that kind of humor, but then again they are the two redheads in the bunch. (Narrows eyes and looks hard at sots) And before you get yourselves all a-blither over reds and blues, for the record there are two red heads, two blue beards, one green, one grey and one purple shirts among us. And tonight, I am sporting the grey savvy?
