The Bradley Bunch

The fun continues in Glassell Park! In this latest video installment (complete with music and titles!) that rascally Neighborhood Council President Bradley (one name like Cher or Madonna or Liberace) sort of gets caught with his pants down! Could this clown be more pompous and arrogant? Watch how he dodges questions and refuses to answer them. It's artful!

Sounds like CM Huizar supported VO/Bradley and the Vegas sign; sent a letter a letter of support. Letter came from Huizar's Chief of Staff (Joe Avila) since Huizar is out of town. Apparently the letter gives "conditional approval." Conditions are:

- Sign can't be higher than 23'
- No moving or flashing images
- Image can't change more frequently than every 60 seconds
- Existing rooftop sign must be removed

Nothing on whether the sign should say "VO of Eagle Rock" or not.

VO apparently packed the house at the hearing with VO churchgoers. Bradley was there and spoke in favor of the sign. Waiting to hear full reaction from the other side, especially as to how it relates to the CD14 letter.

ZA did not rule at the hearing, but they usually follow the CM's recommendations.

No matter what the ZA decides, both sides have vowed to appeal if the ZA does not rule in their favor.

Here's the deal: Bradley is a smart politician. He knew that the only way to win the last election, he needed to partner with some type of organization that would garner him a lot of votes (he lost the last election by a huge margin). And, he needed something in which he could give in return to guarantee the votes he would ask for.

Victory Outreach wanted a HUGE sign on Eagle Rock Blvd. that local businesses and neighbors objected to. So, Bradley cut a deal where if he got Victory Outreach to partner with him and PROH-LA in his "Diversity Coalition," he would support the sign going up. And, because the stakeholder language is so vague, if you attend a church in an NC, you are a "stakeholder" and can vote.

And low and behold, the sign issue is before the zoning administrator today. So, if he approves, then Bradley can say he delivered the sign for them. And, in fact, the Bradley-led GPNC provided a CIS in support of the sign, while the neighborhood improvement association spoke to neighbors and businesses who oppose the sign as being too large and with an LED video screen, is too bright.

Y'all better stop bringing "Bradley" so much heat, y'all...don't you know he gets entitlements from the City.

And he represents a lot of people who apply for zoning variances before various NC planning committees?

Keep this up and you're gonna BLOW IT for him! Stop it. Let him run HIS meetings the way HE wants to. After all, he was ELECTED! (By whom, is another question...BUT DON'T AKS IT!)

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH PEOPLE WHO REPRESENT DEVELOPERS CITYWIDE -- WHO SIT ON ACTIVIST DEVELOPER COALITIONS (an LLC, not non-profit) THAT IS OWNED BY THE SAME DEVELOPER WITH PROJECTS PENDING APPROVAL IN THE AREA!!!

And there is nothing wrong with voting on multiple NCs...and they do plenty of transparent outreach, because if people want to show up to protest their enviromemtally/zoning challenged projects -- so be it! They WANT to engage in a TRUE community forum, in the spirit of community voice - in the attempt to vet the communities actual wishes.

NOTHING TO SEE HERE...TAKE YOUR VIDEO CAMERAS AND GO HOME...IF BRADLEY SAID HE DIDN'T SIGN ANY DOCUMENTS REGARDING THE SIGN...AND IF HE SAYS THE CITY ATTORNEY TOLD HIM YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FILM - SHUT OFF THE DAMN CAMERA AND SIT DOWN!

You don't want his colleague Paula Basagao/Basago/Bassago have people staying up all night overseas doing opposition research on you, now, do you?

Her company, based in Los Angeles, offers "rapid-research services" for information-hungry companies.

"Clients often come to me needing information immediately," she explains. "The only way to do that is to work all night long."

But instead of hiring people who are willing to work through the night, Bagasao has managed to build a network of researchers on the East Coast, on the West Coast, and in the Philippines.

Her firm's project schedules follow the sun, so her clients receive the information that they request faster than they would otherwise.

"The Internet lets you work with really good people while crossing boundaries of time and geography," she says. "I could not have done that 10 years ago."

I was poisoned by victory outreach one evening in skid row.

Actually a lot of us woke up the next day with diarrhea after eating the pecan pies that victory outreach had set up on the corner of San Julian Street and 5th street one evening around 12 pm. To pass out along with their literature.

Interesting that he is wearing an air force shirt. Does he think that showing himself to be a veteran will shield him from the wrath of the people?
HE should be all for the first amendment . But a combat veteran he probably is not , if he was in the air force?
Does anyone know what it says on the outside of his shirt. Operation What?

In case you missed Bradley's attempt to justify his now-infamous behavior, read it here:

http://www.citywatchla.com/content/view/450/75/

And this interesting tidbit from Curbed:

Last night (Tues., June 5) was a moment to savor. DONE representatives publicly spanked the board on the public's right to tape, yet not one board member apologized to the videographer or those present. In fact, Bradley treated her rudely and, at one point, physically pulled her personal copy of a properly presented issue as she asked for it back. Even the male DONE rep was uncomfortable, although perhaps becuase he thought someone was going to intervene. One person was heard to say, "Give her the copy back, you effing moron." The videographer comported herself with strength and dignity and she is to be admired.

Having run up against Bradley's tactics in the past, I can confirm this is just more of the same from a very flamboyant special interest clown with no moral compass leading a cabal of idiots. Until DONE and our illustrious mayor and council step in, outlaw NCs will remain a cancer. By the way, where is that do-nothing Garcetti on the Bradley-GPNC issue?

DIP SHITS!!!
City Council asks officers to appear..In an unusual challenge to Police Chief William J. Bratton, Council requested Wednesday that three of his command officers at the May 1 MacArthur Park melee appear before a council task force for questioning about the incident.

(THE SHADIESS OF ALL GAY BOY GARCETTI IS PRETENDING TO BE IN A COURT OF LAW) HELLOOOOOO!!!! YOU GUYS ARE IDIOTS!!
....Garcetti responded by noting that the council has subpoena power to compel the appearance of LAPD managers. Garcetti and Councilman Dennis Zine said they would consider using that power, although both said it may not be the best approach and they were hoping the command officers would cooperate. (GO AHEAD ASSHOLES!! SHOW HOW IGNORANT AND STUPID YOU REALLY ARE)

...Hahn said the chief's explanation to the council has been a "bureaucratic attempt to defend what had happened" and has not addressed all of her concerns.
(WHAT ABOUT HAHN ASSAULTING A SECURITY OFFICER, PARKING CITY CAR ILLEGALLY, STAFFER ARRESTED FOR DUI IN CITY CAR. KFI SAYS YOU'RE A FUCKING EMBEZZLE)..."Many of our questions were not answered last week, and I know none of my questions were answered last week," Hahn said.

LOVE JOHN & KEN FOR PLAYING SOUNDBITES TO THOUSANDS OF LISTENERS DURING DRIVE TIME. THE FUNNIEST WAS ROSENDAHL ACTING LIKE A FLAMING GAY BOY YELLING. THESE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ARE THE FUCKING IDIOTS WHO REPESENT YOU!! GOOD LUCK TO PROP R GUYS TODAY. PLEASE HAVE IT OVERTURNED AND GET RID OF THESE MORONS

Good one Zuma. Looking forward to seeing your clip at Film Festival. Please post all info when you get it. Yup, those fools on council ain't fooling anyone. The most disrespected group ever in this city. And thanks to Zuma for pointing out all the obvious bullshit they try and cover up. You've really done this city a great service by posting council corruption. Without your input people may not have known how these highly paid fools have been wasting millions in tax payer dollars.

Why is it that most gays in what they consider public service have this enormous sense of superiority. Calling all heterosexuals "breeders" and trashing evrything from ones style of dress to the manner in which they speak. Bradley seems to fit right in line with these condescending individuals who treat others with contempt instead of compassion. And I thought gays were more compassionate. It seems to me as if Bradley got picked on one too many times and now he has the ball and he wants to go home - or is that homo?

Regarding Council's request to have the LAPD commanders, who were in charge of the scene at McArthur Park to appear before Council:

a) Although you are never actually going to pinpoint that magic moment that proves, with certainty, what exactly went wrong and what exact moment. However, the pueblos are demanding, so Council is choosing to represent that demand from the public.

But besides that...here's the main concern of Council:

b) Let's just say, for the sake of this argument, that a group of activists showed up at the park with the full, premeditated intention of pelting LAPD with rocks and bottles:

Council would like to know how a relatively small group of people (compared to the amount of officers) could cause such an unraveling of procedure, to the point where the police are knocking over camerawomen.

It's a concern over ALL THE MONEY THAT IS SPENT ON STATE OF THE ART "THIS" -- AND STATE OF THE ART "THAT"...All the training and collective knowledge that goes into the department, to prepare for just these types of events...

And the equivalent of a lollipop stick in a bicycle wheel spoke, cause the whole machine to malfunction.

Council is concerned that all the time, money and effort spent that goes into preparing for these types of events was just poured into a bigger black hole of nothingness, as all those Connie Rice reports.

AND, there is the obvious concern that there is no reason to believe this same scenario won't unfold next time.

c) Although there is always an agenda with politicians, and some can say council wants to dirty up LAPD cause it wins points with the pueblos...but some Councilmembers want this matter handled because they SUPPORT the LAPD, and don't want something like this to undermine all credibility.

BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THE POLICE -- WHEN THEY LOSE ALL CREDIBILITY -- THAT'S WHEN YOU GOTTA START WORRYING ABOUT WALKING DOWN THE STREETS OF DOWNTOWN LA NEAR ALL THOSE NEW BILLION DOLLAR CRA PET PROJECTS LIKE LA LIFE AND GRAND AVE.

ZD is a Parksian fiscalist; and I don't want all those tax breaks, subsidies, space and entitlements/corporate welfare to be poured down the drain, cause the pueblos uprise and 2012 gets here in 2007.

AND, the solution is not going to make the pueblos very happy.

But Bratton is right. There is only ONE answer. "More training and re-educating."

You've hear me quote Deming from the podium for public comment and write about it here on this blog; because Dogg/Hunt/Dowd experienced it when we blew into chambers.

New recruits are added, laws are amended, new laws are added...but who is telling the officers.

Do you think they reminded the rookie, "Oh yeah, if anyone wants to attend a council meeting, they don't have to show ID. They don't even have to give their name."

NO...they just say, "Sit here, ask for their ID, write the info down here, and give them a sticker."

Or when they told us we couldn't film, "Turn off those cameras!"

So that's the ONLY answer. What else is there? If you reduce it down to the common denominator, I think it always comes back to that.

AND THEN...if a cop blows it and turns into one of these "Barney Fyfe Sipowitz" types and "done f*cks up"...we'll now they can be held accountable, because they have been given the proper training.

And it puts them on notice, that there is a new sherrif in town: Accountability.

But people want heads to roll, and the answer is never going to be good enough for some -- so you'll just have more button pushing and testing of the waters in the future.

So City Council wants to make sure that LAPD is ready for the challenge and not let a small group of bottle throwers take down the entire system.

[Thanks to the CM who broke it down for me. I'm sure you wouldn't mind, at all, if I mentioned your name as the CM who explained this. But since we didn't discuss the context of the conversation, I'll just say an anonymous CM told me. And if they say it's cool, I'll let y'all know. But I just wanted to let y'all know, this isn't MY opinion. It's at least one CMs opinion, and I think it represents at least some others.

WHO THE HELL DO THE CLOWNS ON THE COUNCIL THINK THEY ARE? ZUMA THEY BAITED YOU. TRUST ME THEY GAVE YOU WHAT THEY WANTED POSTED. THOSE ASSHOLES DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE CITY OR POLICE. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THEMSELVES.

Who are they to be asking the commanders to go to council? They are not lawyers and you don't think the attorneys for all WHO filed lawsuits will be listening? Its never been done ever and these assholes think it will happen? NOT

Secondly, Zuma the overwhelming majority of the residents in the city are ok with the LAPD. Many reporters have already told me the clowns on council are just trying to keep this going so they can be in front of the camera and newspaper. They aren't doing shit in the city so jump on the bandwagon. Clowncil has proven to everyone they don't like nor support their officers that's why a lot of them are leaving and telling all new recruits go anywhere but LAPD. LA politicians don't support their officers and everyone from here to Miami and New York know it. They care more about illegals then cops in this city. Screw them!!! Its easy for those assholes to judge and say what should have been done. Tell their sorry asses to go for a ride along in South LA where officers are shot at all the time. I say FUCK ALL OF THEM ZUMA NOT YOU.

Got that right - and no one should get broiled up about the $50,000 the city gives them.

That's "hush" money. Go away and plan some art exhibits and music festivals and leave it to the city council to do its own work. Besides, most NCs haven't spent half what they've been given, even knowing that a budget crunch could end up taking all the unspent funds away.

Zuma, even the talk radio guys are having a field day with the losers on city council and them going after LAPD as if they were DA's. Can someone get the voice of Rosendahl going crazy yelling like an emotional idiot yesterday to Bratton? How bout the idiot Hahn who has to be the dumbest blonde in the city asking her stupid questions, then you have Alarcon who doesn't know the difference between Speical Issue 40 and consent decree, then bald headed adulterer Ed Reyes speaking out in support of "his people" the illegals, then Zine (who I think is Bi-sexual for Bernie) acting as if he's some powerhouse. You're a loser Zine women hate you cause you're dirty and sleazy. I bet he has an STD.
Perry who move homeless into her area and residents are pissed
Cardenas whose brother is now employed making $100,00 thanks to Antonio payback.
Bitter Bernie, well we all know how sad he hasn't gotten mental therapy yet
Weiss being recalled
Greuel in bed with developers
Huizar all anyone can say he's a very young, very naive, very dumb clowncil member. He has so much to learn and the list goes non.

Zuma since clowncil members call you instead of having the guts to post here ask them if they're going to give anymore money to those gang programs? Then let us know what they say.

.....That’s what Rice stated last week, as news broke that Marroquin allegedly sold automatic rifles and silencers to undercover ATF agents on three separate occasions, between September and November.

On Tuesday, she reiterated her claim of knowing about Marroquin, and called on city officials to probe the $1.5 million in city funds that his anti-gang program, No Guns, received. What did that money produce? I know Hector did some good work on the Eastside, but if one dime went to his Mr. Hyde life, then there must be an investigation,” she said.

Marroquin’s alleged gun sales came three months after the city cut its ties to him over nepotism and misuse of funds from L.A. Bridges — a 10-year-old, $100 million sinkhole created by the Los Angeles City Council that has produced no tangible results, according to Rice’s $500,000 city-funded report on how to solve the gang problem.

Appreciate the sentiment, but I would mention of the CMs behalf who was cool enough to return ZDs call over ANOTHER issue I was calling about (NC Racket), I don't want them to take a slam because -- IT IS NOT THEIR JOB TO POST ON MAYOR SAM LIKE IT'S COVERED UNDER THE BROWN ACT.

BUT...Luckily...this blog seems to be significant enough, as an independent entity...that if I call about something being covered here...some of them are nice enough, and smart enough to take the time to weigh in. (I don't wanna punish the good ones who go on camera and talk to me on phone.)

Regarding, "Ask them if they're going to give anymore money to those gang programs? Then let us know what they say."

O.K.

Saw the comment about Clowncil using me to put out their spin. That's cool, because it is a public war of perception vs reality...so if that's what they are putting out there, that's the angle you gotta work on.

YOU DID!!! I just felt that the CM was able to articulate in a way that hadn't come across through all the pomp and circumstance of those meetings, which are nothing more than a chance for someone to jump on TV and try and become better known in the community. (JUST KIDDING, JUST KIDDING...I KNOW, I KNOW...THAT'S WHAT I DO!)

And all the other posts, with all the wasted money and all the comments have been great and hilarious...i'll compile them all then post them on my new "public input" blog, that I create for all these great rant comments -- so they can appear on google searches and alerts!!!
