DWP overcharges will hit City rate-payers
It rarely seems like it, but someone indeed is watching our local agency cash registers. One of the busiest is the DWP's; and now it turns out that a judge believes the cashiers on Dewap have been pocketing extra change off of County consumers, to the tune of $200 million, on behalf of the Department.

The bad news is that now the DWP -- i.e., those of us rate-payers who live in the City of Los Angeles -- must pay about $224 million damages to the various other agencies that sued it for over-charging.No, crime doesn't pay.

Was this one time that LAUSD was right on something involving money ? I do remember that part of the "BAD BLOOD" between LAUSD and "SILLY HALL" was over LAUSD believing that they were over charged for power and water.
