Since everyone is so busy talking about Paris Hilton -- and since the LAzy Times is hell bent on being the INTERNATIONAL TIMES, instead of LA TIMES (Hey Dummies...isn't anything newsworthy of front page, above the fold coverage in this city? All you do is talk about the problems and things happening everywhere else in the world. What about the same shiznit happening right under your own upturned noses. The LA TIMES is nothing more than a diversionary tactic, sent out to the masses, by the political steamroll machine, to sidetrack y'all from the realest, dough.
I'm afraid I have to step in and declare an emergency ordinance:
Whereas, first of all, F*CK your coverage of Paris Hilton;
Whereas, WE GOT A COMPLETE LOCAL MEDIA BLACKOUT JUST AS THE CITY HAS PUT THE FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR ON THE SHADIEST OF DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT POLICY. (See: Jan Perry. See also: Despicable. Superfluously arrogant. Grandeur in the "Emperors New Clothes" sense; and she has none);
Whereas, there are so many other issues almost as important as Paris Hilton (yes, she is a celebrity, and society treats people differently, so therefore, occasionally so do the police -- if she wasn't famous, they probably could've put her under house arrest in the first place. And at some point, the Sheriff has to cut his losses (all the extra effort because she IS a HUGE celebrity (not even just a regular celebrity), cause they got a few other criminals to deal with. Al Sharpton, stay the f*ck where you are and don't turn yourself into a complete clown over this. THIS will be the challenge that turns you into a parody of yourself. But I simply don't want Paris Hilton to give "fraud, waste and abuse" a free pass for the next month. So Al, stay home, my man! Ed Reyes can speak on your behalf.

find the paragraph below from Paula Bagasoa's challenge to the GPNC elections very sad. Here she pretends care about people in and around Glassell Park by requesting the old board of the GPNC should supply them with voting information in TAGALOG for the Filipinos. I find it hilarious that the current GPNC board of which she is a member usually only supplies their Agendas in English only, they don't supply Spanish and they for sure are not posting information or agendas in Tagalog, so what is she thinking? If Tagalog was so important for assisting Stakeholders in voting then why has it suddenly become too much trouble for the current GPNC board to supply it at meetings. FYI the current board does usually supply a Spanish translator person and they have headphones. Pasted below is Paula's rant about Tagalog.
Regarding language communications. I am also seeking that the election flyer, Vote-by- Mail documents, and the ballots also be developed, distributed, and be made available in Tagalog. While the many Filipinos and Filipino Americans who are stakeholders in the GPNC area do speak English or some English, it is well established that the most effective way to communicate with this population is in English and Tagalog. At the present time, only English and Spanish are proposed.
95% of the people in the Phillipines are educated in ENGLISH. They began being trained in English in 1945/1946; So, if you are over 60 you might not understand English; but under 60; sorry. Since Paula has a 'communication' company she can translate it very quickly and post on the net as a public service for the community.
Am I the only one that's noticing that the longer Zuma Doggggggg stays on this blogggggg, and the more he's allowed to fill its pages with millions of words, the angrier and less coherent he gets?

Everyone is talking about how bad smart growth is. (which is true) and the mayor is going to make it happen by his hand picked planning director's. You DO KNOW how corrupt that city is with every planning commissioner having a conflict of interest and a stake in passing their "city of villaigs?"
if one wants to hide the true meaning of your intentions use fake names such as "elegant density" and "city of viliages"
Ou wow them with pretty PR prose and marking -something the Mayor and his Planning Director Clone got down pat.

Perception is the battle of the mind. You cannot change the prospects mind, once it is made up. People base these decisions on emotion, not logic.
Try convincing a teenager that today's pop music musicianship isn't any good. You could pull out the sheet music and compare it to symphony sheet music, and PROVE how today's pop music is inferior.
But teenagers wanna like Justin Timberlake, so it's useless to try and convince them otherwise. Their mind is made up, and they have a lot invested in liking Justin Timberlake.
Similarly, people wanna hate Jack Weiss, so it's useless to try and convince then otherwise. Their mind is made up, and they have a lot invested in hating Jack Weiss.
So how do you combat this, and win the battle of perceptions in the mind? Read Al Ries and Jack Trout "Marketing Warfare".
But to summarize: You have to create a new catagory. For example, Honda created "Acura" to combat perception problems that would have prevented the same line of cars from commanding the higher "upper-end" perception.
(It would have just been an exensive Honda.)
