Paris Hilton Shaking Up Local Government?
On the heels of the early release debacle of Paris Hilton, Full Disclosure Network is replaying a debate between Sheriff Lee Baca and tough as nails Maricopa County (Arizona) Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Most laughable comment: Lee Baca says LA County Jails make Arpaio's jails (which make use of chain gangs and prisoners in pink underwear) look like summer camp.In the meantime Sheriff Baca now has to grovel before the altar of the Reverend Al Sharpton (for letting a rich white girl off the hook) and could be facing a recall. Baca's not the only one facing a possible recall - Congressional candidate Merv Evans wants to recall the hanging judge in Hilton's case, Judge Michael Sauer.

I call for the head of the asinine judge named Sauer.
I'll bet you dollars to donuts that Baca has released a black woman for the same reason he released Paris Hilton. Overcrowded jails. Not because she is rich. Anyone can get out on the early release program if they didn't commit a crime against a person. Anyone except for Paris.
Well, you lose your dollars, smart ass. The overcrowding is not in the womens' jail; only the mens'. She was released for "medical reasons" (she stopped her meds herself), not overcrowded facilities.
She was released only because she was causing a ruckus whining and sobbing all day and night and they wanted to restore order. Everyone wanted to touch her or photograph her and sell it for $500,000.00, so they had to guard her 24/7.
Now they have to guard her 24/7 in the medical ward.
The judge's order should have been taken seriously; "no home detention" meant just that.
Judge Sauer may have saved her life, and maybe yours too. She has no right to drive 70 MPH in a 35 MPH zone at night with her lights out and a .08 alcohol blood reading.
Nobody is going to recall Baca, and Sauer has been on the bench over 30 years. He can retire and be re-assigned by the Chief Justice.
The polls indicate that 90% of the people support his decision, so go get some cheese to go with your whine.
Baca should be recalled. Remember that the Grand Father of Paris Hilton contributed to his campaign. Do you think this had something to do with him going against the Judges orders? Paris Hilton, Al Sharpton an anyone paying attention to this are wasting their time. There is more important News in this Country then a spoiled brat and a racist who is now creating the "New Race Wars"
The judge or Rocky should go after Baca for contempt. Yes, Baca should be recalled because this goes to his mentality that if you're a celebrity you're treated differently. All weekend the cable news aired defense attorneys stating they have clients in county jail suffering from many illnesses and the Sheriff's ignore them. The preferencial treatment Hilton is getting againg goes to bias and discrimination of rich vs low income. When her sister and ex-boyfriend visited her this weekend they didn't have to wait in line like others. They cruised on through in front and people who had been waiting 3 hours were outraged. Again, BACA helping them out.
celebrities should be treated differently because the public treats them differently. and police represent the people.
A $1,000 donation isn't a hil of beans; the election contributions are in the multi millions, and I am sure that her grandfather's donation didn't even reach the level where Baca even met him.
Baca runs a good operation, and a spoiled little 26 year old brat like her just gets in the way. There is no "war"; some lower level officer just missed the judge's order and it is now fixed.
If Baca wanted her out, his lawyer would have presented medical evidence of the need to Sauer in the hearing - he didn't.
So, she'll do the 45 or what is left, in the hospital jail ward with the other psychos or she'll start taking her meds and go back to the Lynwood solitary cell.
This is a life altering lesson for her; she'll never be the same.

Rocky cannot hold the Sheriff in contempt; only a judge can do that, or the Congress of the United States.
But, he can file a motion to have an OSC heard by the judge.
Baca is trying to run his jail with limited funds; a spoiled little celebrebrat poptart comes in and they just want her ass out of there before she gets raped and sues for millions.
She won't want to be coming back anytime soon, nor will her bratpack buddies once she gets out and tells the horror stories.
A whole generation of little hero worshippers are getting a new slant on this stuff, and Judge Sauer should get a medal for his willingness to put her where she can learn a lesson.

What is all the fuss about Paris Hilton early release, people should have noticed all the violent felons who sheriff Baca had to release early due to jail over-crowding.
Sheriff Baca has been telling everybody about crowded jails for years, and nobdy seemed to notice.
Now one celebrity was sent home with an electronic monitor and it's big news. What fucking idiots are news media and politicians are.
The Sheriff has spent way to much time and money to keep Paris in jail for an offense many other people get house arrest. Send her ass home too much time and money is being spent to keep her safe from all the other inmates who want to make some money from her celebrity.

Good for Marv Evans, a black guy with the guts to reveal sourpuss Judge Sauer, Rocky and that grandstanding ignoramus Sharpton all getting their names in the papers by proving how tough they can be on a rich white girl. She's a vain idiot, but that's not a reason to lock her in a cell when real criminals are released; and what's with the open toilets? So the other inmates and guards can get their kicks?
My only argument w/ Evans is that recall-mania is like a disease in S Cal lately -- tho true, it's Baca's critics who started it all. Still.
Wrong, there is overcrowding in women's jail. Most are released early. Case in point, Pamelyn Ferdin of the Animal Defense league was sentenced to 30 days. She didn't even make it to a cell. She was released in less than a day I think. Ferdin is an animal activist charged with illegal trespass and focused picketing.
I personally feel drunk driving is a bad offense. Paris could have killed someone. I realize she went to jail for driving with a suspended license. I think Paris needs to realize she can't do anything she wants just because she's "Paris."

Unfortunately, Andrew Ahlering is an idiot, and he will never get even close to the number of signatures required (it will make the petition gathering for the County Seal look an order of magnitude better).
Ahlering is no idiot, he's just... out there. Go find him in the transcripts and video from the County Board meeting from about March 2006 through June 2006. Entertaining stuff. He hates Baca because he was arrested and put in jail.
Paris Hilton has a shit load of money and she still cant get a nice ass job.
