ZD Rumor Control...Janice Hahn Ain't Running For Congress (in ZD's opinion)
Excuse me, irresponsible bloggers who spread gossipy rumours with no substantiation. Why would you say Janice Hahn would want to run for Congress? Yeah, THAT sounds like a lot of fun. I'm sure it would have fit her engergetic, personable personality well. I'm sure she would love being plucked and disrupt her whole lifestyle to work in the equivelant of the "library" of politics. (Your voice is so quiet, you can't be heard. Ever wanna hold a job as a librarian, Janice?
But you got set-up for the slam dunk, like Herb Wesson. See, Herb made it known that there would be a lot of support, including his, for the daughter of the congresswoman who is running -- to replace her mom's seat, after she recently passed away.
So by Janice "agreeing" not to run, and go along with Wesson's team...well I've never seen Janice and Herb more chit-chatty, than were this week. I'd say they've spoken more this past week inside the horseshoe, than they have all year. (Not that I observe these types of things.)
So, that can only be good news for the pueblos, cause I'm sure Janice will call in her favor for MC Herbie Herb on the right cause.
And, I don't think Janice wants to wait around for that Board of Supervisors guy to retire. All real strategy has to wait until a final decision on Prop. r is made.

This is a black, excuse me, African-American seat, that many African-Americans want to keep that way. Although it may be won by a hispanic female who has announced she is running.

But didn't Wesson endorse Laura Richardson over the weekend?
I though Laura Richardson won in '06?
Wesson is another clowncil idiot! He embarrasses himself every week with his dog adoption show. Someone needs to tell Wesson its ok in LA to come out of the closet. He's gayer then Richard Simmons. Janice needs to get that damn aligator Reggie out of the lake. That's been her failure. If a council person with all the resources and now this team from Australia trying AGAIN can't get Reggie, that's pretty damn lame.
Wesson and Dymally (and the Legis. Black Caucus) endorsed Laura Richardson, tried to get McDonald's daughter not to run. She is running anyway, and Diane Watson has endorsed her. With the black vote split, this mproves prospects for Jenny Oropeza to win...
If Janice would have run, she would have won. But she serves us better taking her birth right on the BOS.
This may have been an African American seat, but thanks to a split in the vote, they are paving the way for Oropeza to win. Who knows how long she will be around, though....
Yes, most likely scenario is that Richardson and McDonald will split the black vote = improved chances for an Oropeza victory. Is her cancer gone? in remission???
