Kudos to Kevin at MayorSam?
Noted: not long ago, I saw Kevin Roderick accept a City proclamation from Tom LaBonge.
Which is why his snarky post today about LaBonge's beyond-cringeworthy performances in the wake of the Griffith Park fire is all the more of a delight to me.
I wasn't going to call the post anything special---but on reflection, well, maybe I will. I wish it were simply ordinary---but it's not ordinary. I wish other blogs had more posts like these, where the bloggers took the baubles tossed their way and just said, "Thanks, and nice try."
I think showing indifference to the things pols toss to writers should merely be merely par for the course. Alas, such incidents are far too infrequent in the blogosphere, where bloggers only seem increasingly willing to swallow anything at all thrown their way by people of power. Which may explain why there are so few big local blogs that even get into local politics at all.

....then there was David Zahniser who wrote a piece of "SCRIBEGASM" on the "Mayor of Griffith Park, (Blacken)". Stick with the hard hitting pieces like the "BRATTAN MEA CULPA TOUR". BTW, check out the Weekly profile on the "WWG", Observing West L.A. Life and his Times".
