ZUMA DOGG - THE SHADY REPORT (05/08/07): Do Concurring Investigations Have Los Angeles City Hall FREAKED OUT?

THE SHADY REPORT FOR TUESDAY MAY 8, 2007:

Are There Two Concurring Investigatons at LA City Hall? (1 Fed, 1 State)

This past Superbowl Sunday, some comments by Captian Jack Sparrow (a frequent comment poster on "Mayor Sam's Sister City" blog www.mayorsam.blogspot.com) caught my attention.

Since then, he/they (more than one contribute to the "Cpt. Jack blogger persona) has/have been leaving clues about a sticky situation regarding a Los Angeles City Councilmember's (CM) trip to Florida, for the Superbowl game. And now, additional bloggers have seconded Cpt. Jacks claim that Federal Agents are investigating City Hall, over a civil rights violation by DWP, involving "listening in on phone conversations, without proper notification...aka: spying, and who knows, "what else".

So to start at the top, and follow the proposed timeline that ties a few Council situations all together:

Superbowl Sunday, did a CM fly to Florida with an ex-NLF player to meet with a Florida developer over certain Los Angeles construction projects; did CM collect some "campaign contributions" on behalf of the whole City, for various agencies; then have a discussion to sooth the Flordia business person's concern that some heavy winds might be rocking the boat, and buisness person wanted to make sure the investment was secure. (CM would win re-election and be serving the term.)

This developer is also the owner of Wyenwood Apartments in Boyle Heights, and word on the street is that the building is scheduled for demolition, to make way for some less expensive, affordable housing. (JUST KIDDING! It will be MORE expensive and LESS affordable.) Meanwhile the community doesn't want it, and has been trying to get an answer as to Wyenwood's fate from CM Jose Huizar.

Meanwhile, is the NFL football player who may, or may not have flown to the Superbowl with certain CM ALSO one of the two compadres involved in the "fraudulent permit" complaint Zuma Dogg posted on this blog recently over at "Dirt" Burnell. The word is over there, is that two people transfered titles back and forth, two at a time, so they could build SIX (6) new homes on the hazardous, dirt area -- without having to run EIR, because you only have to run an EIR if you are building THREE (3) homes or more. Hence, the fraudulent permit complaint being filed with Building and Safety by the community.

So if Shady Dirt Burnell guy, flew to Florida with CM to meet with Wyenwood owners -- is Dirt Burnell fraudulent permit holders "in cahoots" with the Wyenwood deal? I know the pueblos in CD 14 are VERY suspicious over the $14 million CRA bond and where it is going. (Like NOT to Wyenwood, they hope!)

Meanwhile, since the Burnell development is in Mt. Washington, the area touches upon a triangulation of shadiness. (THREE (3) Councilmembers) And Cpt. Jack claims, ONE (1) of them is "caught on tape", like "Girls Gone Wild".

So not only did Cpt. Jack break the news on Friday that the Men In Black (FEDS) have arrived to investigate the above mentioned situation over unauthorized "listening in" on a DWP employee named "Lucille" (LA Times covered it in January) -- it seems to have taken them to City Hall, itself.

And now, the fear is that the whole Angora sweater is gonna unravel. Because there seem to be some ex-City staffers who have a few things to "weigh-in" on, as well -- as long as the Feds are on the topic of fraud, waste and abuse.

And ZD has also been told by a few folks that the State Attorney's office is looking into some things, too. And I am told they all kinda tie together, cause "corrupt birds of a feather, flock together".

And it sounds to me, from the Captain's clues, that there are a few folks who are preparing a "class action lawsuit", perhaps against the City for civil rights violations. I know there are a buch of folks who have separate cases against the City for civil violations, (DWP worker for "spying", LAUSD employee for not getting paid overtime, Ruby De Vera for violation of her political freedom/fired by Reyes for running for Council against Huizar in '05) and some other folks who are waiting to crawl out of the woodwork.

We also know The City of Los Angeles City Attorney's office has request to hire "outside counsel" for Ed Reyes vs Ruby De Vera. So what we could have hear is one of those situations where a cop stops you for a broken tailight, and before you know it they find a bunch of other things wrong and it all comes tumbling down. And it has been said that one might find the outside conselor's name on some City expense reports. (Wining and dining over discussion of the case, and the retaining of counsel?)

BOTTOM LINE: ZD'S BATPHONE JUST RANG TO TELL ME THIS IS A CITY WIDE INVESTIGATION THAT INCLUDES THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT. THE CM FLYING TO PICK UP FLORIDA MONEY FOR ONE OR MORE DISTICTS IS THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG THAT IS COULD SINK THE TITANIC. (Watch out "Pearl") Plus, ZD's Bat Computer just sent me a list of names of rumored shadiants throughout the City. Just look at what THREE (3) CMs sit on which committees, and you should see which departments are involved. And "Bat Phone" also said..."It's pretty tense on the third and fourth floor. And not over all this other stuff in the media."

ALRIGHT...I DIDN'T POST THIS THREAD JUST TO TIP EVERY ONE ELSE IN TOWN...IT'S FOR ALL OF Y'ALL TO CLARIFY, DISCREDIT OR ADD NEW INFO. AND REMEMBER, THIS IS A BLOG, NOT THE WASHINGTON POST...I'M JUST TRYING TO ORGANIZE EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN SAID FOR FURTHER VETTING. And remember, just because there may, or may not be an investigation, doesn't mean that there is even anythng to find.
