BREAKING NEWS: BRUSH FIRE IN GRIFFITH PARK AGAIN

If you hadn't notice, another fire has broken at about 1:30 PM. As of 3:20 PM the fire was moving in a north, northeast direction. Areas such as the Merry Go Round, Boy's Camp, The Wilson, Harding Golf Course, Zoo, and Autry Museum have all been evacuated.

Fire officials and our Mayor are due to give a briefing at 4:00 PM. Arson is the cause. A "BADLY BURNED" suspect is in the hospital according to KNX 1070.

Oh man. I was starting to stress about the fire. But once Antonio gets on the mic it'll be alright.

"MR. WANTABEE GRIFFITH PARK", Councilman Tom LaBonge was near the flames at the Merry Go Round as Engine 37 from Wilminton provided structure protection (GREAT KUDOS TO ALL OUR FIREFIGHTERS DESPITE MIC HOGGING POLITITIONS). "CLOWNCIL PRESIDENT" Garcetti got his turn to hear himself. Lastly, but not the least, Our mayor convey his thoughts to the spanish speaking constituents. LOVE OUR CITY LEADERS, READY TO EASE OUR FEARS THROUGH "SOUND BITES".

Notice how when he gives a speech in English, it's "uhh... uhh... uhh...," but in Spanish he speaks in complete sentences?

English is his first language - what's up with that?

He gets nervous speaking English in public, worrying he's going to lapse into his native barrio-speak and ruin his appeal with non-barrio voters.

I demand an investigation as to how someone could have been allowed to set this fire. Surely, there must have been warning signs and someone should have notified someone of this possible risk.

Also, we need to find out who sold him the lighter, and they need to be held accountable.

AND from here on in, all outdoor areas like these, with brush around it, must have security cameras and patrol officers, everywhere -- at all times.

Can you all believe these fuckers???? They don't come out for the May 1st incident but there Eric Garshady, Tom LaBuck, and Gang Banger Antonio are more concerned with a fire then people. Why is Antonio now speaking in Spanish after he gives comments to media in English? His spanish is soooooo bad my grandma cringes when she hears him. The radicals, uneducated morons went in force to city council. Tony Mohammed said "this is Mexico." Yeah right asshole. Just wait til Special Issue 40 is overturned. They will start deporting all those assholes who have ruined our city.

I think now would be a good time to aks:

WHERE'S THE SOUTHWEST MUSEUM COLLECTION, RIGHT NOW -- THIS SECOND? AT GRIFFITH PARK, OR SOUTHWEST MUSEUM. IG ZUMA DOGG WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE COLLECTION. I COULD BE WORTH A BILLION DOLLARS AND THE FORMER AUTRY "FOUNDATION" CHANGED TO "NON-PROFIT" STATUS.

Isn't that the kind of "tax break" thing you do when you are preparing to sell off assests.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE SOUTHWEST MUSEUM COLLECTION IS CURRENTLY BEING STORED? Wouldn't want it to go "up in smoke" like a Prop 215 recommendation, y'all! Where's the collection?

Huh...huh...huh....

And while we're at it: Does anyone know what happened to the privately raised money for the Sylmar Children's Museum.

I know someone was put in charge of raising money, and they didn't raise enough to get the project done. So was the money spent? On what? And if it wasn't spent...Where's the money, y'all?

MOTION: Citywide moritorium on all future development projects until we figure out what the hell is going on in this town. There's enough smoke to get more than ZD's attention in the country, it seems. CAN YOU START AND COMPLETE ONE F*CKING PROJECT IN THIS TOWN WITHOUT TURNING IT INTO A MONEY-MAKING BONANZA FOR YOURSELVES? I don't think so, but Tony Robbins would like you to challenge yourselves.

Oh no, it's unraveling so quickly...

Have tenants at Wyenwood Apts been given relocation notices, yet? Has NC weighed in on the discussed demolision. Have the proper total accessment reports AND EIR studies been commisioned, as Huizar has motioned for?

AND I WONDER HOW MUCH MONEY THE CITY GIVES TO IT'S FAVORITE/PREFERRED NON-PROFITS, GOES TO $60,000 plus salaries and flashy cars -- and how many names would ZD recognize from LA City politics. AND HOW MANY NAMES WOULD HE --NOT-- RECOGNIZE AT ALL CAUSE THEY'RE ALL FRIENDS WITH CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST?

I THINK THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES SHOULD CANCEL ALL FUTURE CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS TILL A FEW THINGS ARE STRAIGHTENED OUT. I mean, how can the City move foward, right now, when City Hall may have a giant padlock on it, anyday.

I'm really glad I don't have any money to contribute to them, right now...These days, it's a risky investment.

Thanks to Joseph for his update post. A major flare up is causing evacuations in the area south of the park. Dundee Place is the area of concern. This will go down as a sad day in Griffith Park history. How this will effect the new Griffith Park Master Plan is yet to be seen. ****Evacuation Center has been set up at Marshall High School****.

None of us want to lose our "national" treasures in the Observatory, the Autry Musuem, the Greek, Burbank Equestrian Center or anything in the community. Most can be rebuild; but the artifacts of the Southwest Musuem can not be replaced. They have been in the Arroyo for one hundred years..they should go home...where they are safe.

Zuma here's one for you. Project Amiga in Boyle Heights has been given over $200,000 from the Gang Reduction Program (GRP) for a made up gang program. They never had a gang program until last year when Antonio was giving out money. They were big supporters of Antonio. They are in the county. They had no qualifications or experience with gangs. They don't even have gang staff, intervention, no programs. What they do is use LAPD officers to go teach classes at the middle schools then write all the shit down to say it was them. Everyone in Boyle Heights knows what a scam they are yet Huizar doesn't do a damn thing and he's given them tons of money. There's corruption alive and well with the gang programs.
