LOS ANGELES CITY COUNCIL MEETING CANCELLED FOR TUESDAY MAY 8, 2007
The Los Angeles City Council meeting is cancelled for today. Thank you to CityWatch's email this morning, that I read WHILE WAITING TO STEP ON THE BUS! If I would have paid $3.00 (roundtrip) on bus fare, without getting my quorum's worth of public comment...So I called the mayor's office at 8:06am, but it still wasn't open yet. Hope they aren't losing too much international business, or East Coast business, cause they are supposed to be open at 8:00am!
Anyway, the meeting was cancelled over issue of a "quorum". Councilmembers will be attending a funeral of LAPD officer.
The items from today will be moved to manana's agenda; so if you took off the day to attend the meeting over a certain agenda item, or are a guest speaker/expert -- just show up tommorrow instead. (Double inefficiency, y'all!) And of course, if you have plans to attend tomorrow's meeting (get ready for a long one); and if you have a meeting with a Clowncil member (or it's staff) for a meeting on Wed. May 9th, it's all gonna be pushed way back, or cancelled.
AND OF COURSE TODAY'S "EDUCATION AND NEIGHBORHOOD" COMMITTEE MEETING I WAS ON MY WAY DOWN FOR, and all other committee meetings, too, are cancelled.

What a bunch of assholes!!. They didn't even know Cmdr. Tatreau who died at the age of 58 yrs. and gave 37 yrs to LAPD and was an outstanding man. I'm sure his family will be outraged when they see them there. They have no business going except maybe Zine, Smith and LaBonge. The do the same damn thing when an officer dies in the line of duty and they all show up for the funeral. BASTARADs!!!
Did Bratton go to the National Police Week Memorial yesterday? No mention of him in the LA Times.
Something is going on.
