A forum set up to discuss our new park and what we would like to see
it become. The Grand Avenue Committee and Grand Intervention have
agreed that our park needs more public input. Grand Intervention has
agreed to link to our blog to facilitate this discussion. If you have
any thoughts, feelings, or ideas relating to the new park please come
by and have a look, comment on your neighbors ideas or become a member
and post your own ideas.
send me a note if you would like to be a member and I will send you an
invitation.

This park is really happening, construction to begin December of 2006.
It is about 16 acres, already has many mature trees, and will complete
a scheme to connect the Music Center and City Hall with a wide swath
of grass, gardens, plazas and people. What would draw you to the park
on a weekend afternoon? What would make it a must see when friends
come into town?

I have seen Eli Broad quoted twice in the Times as saying that this is "our Central Park"
Central Park is 854 acres of visionary Ohlmstead designed open space.
This is what passes for vision in the City of Los Angeles.
