The CLA Charade Begins

The Daily News is reporting that the City Council has set the wheels in motion to search for a successor to Ron Deaton as Chief Legislative Analyst as Deaton makes his golden greased glide to be Jimmy Hahn's chief pirate at DWP.

They're going to form a committee, hire a $earch firm and make a lot of noise.

In the end, term limited out City Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski will take the post, as its already been decided.

Some of you tinplated geniuses do see what the problem is here, don't you?

A little late for an air of legitimacy, isn't it?

Check out the consultant and blue ribbon approval committee hired to pull David Wiggs out from among the list of eligibles in the last selection.

It would be cheaper in the long run just to use one year term consultants. DWP employees could save their pension plan.

I'd bet if DWP pension managers were to put a 10 year DWP consecutive employment history requirement to qualify for any pension benefits, all this end of career transfer mumbo jumbo would stop - quick, fast, and in a hurry!

Since managers don't its just another piece of evidence demonstrating CONFLICT OF INTEREST!

Not only did she take over a district where most people never voted for her, but she's done a horrible job on the airport and is trampling the First Amendment along the Venice Boardwalk, not to mention her ill-conceived ban on lap dancing. It's time for new blood for this district and a leader who comprehends the big picture. CLA beware!
