Mayor Sam Spinoff
Given the success of the Sister City, a spinoff was inevitable. On November 3rd, we quietly launched Sam Yorty's America and are now ready to show it to you.
This blog will feature comments and news on the national scene - especially the jockeying for 2008 - with all the same wit and wisdom you'd expect from America's greatest dead mayor.
The purpose of this site is not only to follow the American political landscape, but to create an archive of current thinking leading up to 2008.
However, Mayor Sam and his staff will dedicate the bulk of our time to the Sister City with the notion that all politics are local and have far more impact on the average person than anything happening in Washington, D.C. Given that, Sam Yorty's America will not have the same volume of content (at least for now) but could be a fun diversion while waiting to see what the next comment posted about Antonio is.

In his day, Mayor Sam ran for Governor, Senator and even President (he actually got some votes in the 72 Democratic primary).
So it makes sense he would try to take over the blogging world as well.
But I hope he mainly sticks to the Sister City.
