FACT: The five Lincoln Heights parking lots include a total of 290 parking spaces. This project requires the replacement of public parking spaces on a one-to-one basis.

FALSE NEWS: The Councilmember is going to build housing only for the homeless.

FACT: The Council Member does not support placing an overconcentration of one type of housing in a single location. The Councilmember believes in building communities with a mix of housing options serving a range of incomes. Lincoln Heights will not have an overconcentration of housing serving people formerly experiencing homelessness. The Councilmember’s vision is a mixed-income housing neighborhood, with not only permanent supportive housing, but a combination of affordable, workforce and market-rate housing.

REALITY: CD-1 City Councilman Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo", with the APPROVAL of Mayor Eric "#PresidentYogaPants2020" Garcetti, are defrauding City of LA Property Owners via their BLATANT, scandalous misuse of Measure HHH Bond Money. From Patrick Range McDonald;

City officials are currently sorting through the proposals for projects that will make up the AHOS program. With complete certainty, permanent supportive housing will not be built at every city-owned property — five sites in Lincoln Heights, which is represented by Councilman Gil Cedillo, have already been designated for “mixed-income” housing.  As a result, the city’s use of Measure HHH money for the AHOS program will not go entirely to homeless housing, and homeless men, women, and children will not receive the full amount of housing and services that Mayor Eric Garcetti and the City Council had promised. Instead, an affluent professional, the only person who can afford market-rate housing in L.A., may land a nice pad on city-owned property in increasingly gentrified Lincoln Heights or near the beach on the Westside. It’s the very definition of a scandal.

FALSE NEWS: The Councilmember is going to build 5,000 units of homeless housing in Lincoln Heights.

FACT: The CAO report states that the developments across 12 sites citywide [CD1 (5 sites), CD7, CD8, CD11 (4 sites), and CD15] are recommended to account for 500 units total.

[500 units ÷ 12 sites = 42 average units per development]

REALITY: Did the Motion (pictured below) via "Broken Deal Cedillo", remove the Five Lincoln Heights Parking Lots from consideration for development (or was this a Campaign Facade)?

As the CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo Re-election Campaign continues its repugnant Racial Identity Attacks, targeting May Runoff Challenger Joe Bray-Ali, the LA Times exposes "Broken Deal Cedillo's" PAID CAMPAIGN STAFF (including the infamous Mario Beltran) links to a QUESTIONABLE City of Huntington Park Transit Contract. 

Will Mario Beltran's latest Political Dealings become a MAJOR ISSUE hindering CD-1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo's Re-election Campaign (it should)?

With the May Runoff Elections four weeks away tomorrow, the assorted cast of Political Scoundrels (think Nativo Lopez, Mario Beltran, Jhonny P. of H.P. Victory Outreach among others) that comprise "Team Cedillo", is making news (again) for not only their racially-tinged campaign rhetoric ............, but for their recent "Political Dealings (as reported upon by Mayor Sam in 2015)" in Huntington Park as reported in the LA Times yesterday.

The Huntington Park City Council was faced with a crisis. Its longtime provider of bus service abruptly announced it was getting out of the business two years ago, and the city had 30 days to find a new operator. Without seeking competitive bids, the city contracted with Metro Transit Services. The company hired as its general manager Mario Beltran, a political consultant who worked for a campaign committee that promoted the three new council members (including CURRENT Cedillo "Campaign Consultant" Jhonny Pineda), campaign finance records show. The deal with Metro paid the company a 46% higher rate for the same service the old bus operator provided, according to city records.

Both Beltran and Pineda have been compensated $10,000 dollars-plus for their work with Team Cedillo, along with Convicted Felon Larry "Nativo" Lopez, who has apparently created a new "Swept Off Instead LLC", that specializes in "Voter Registration".

ITS OFFICIAL!! The FINAL tally of ballots via Council District One (CD-1) voters, have Incumbent City Councilman Gil (now "Runoff Cedillo") facing Second Place Challenger Joe Bray-Ali in a May General Election (with the help of Giovanni Hernandez, Jesse Rosas and a certain "Write-In Candidate").

With the help of Rolando "The Big O(ooops)" Cuevas we present CD-1 City Councilman Gil "Runoff Cedillo".

** Blogger's Notes: Its the early Evening of March 20, 2017 ............ and contrary to earlier remarks, CD-1 City Councilman Gil "Runoff (again) Cedillo", HAS NOT been re-elected to another term as Developer Geoff Palmer's enabling Officeholder. The final tally of the votes had the embattled Incumbent garnering 49.3% of the votes, with NOW, May Runoff Challenger Joe Bray-Ali placing second with 38%, followed by Giovanni Hernandez and Jesse Rosas respectively. With a thousand ballots left to be counted, Incumbent CD-1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo is in SERIOUS danger of facing challenger Joe-Bray-Ali in a May Runoff as the current vote count drops the current Officeholder under the 50%, plus one threshold (49.51%).

Gil Cedillo 9,459 Votes, 49.51%.

Joe Bray-Ali 7,288 Votes, 38.14%.

Giovanni Hernandez 1,572 Votes, 8.23%

Jesse Rosas 788 Votes, 4.12%.

With the count of the remaining votes, the Incumbent must overcome an 189 votes margin (plus one) to win re-election outright ..........,PLUS, offset whatever the WRITE-IN Vote total is for Luca Barton.
