Los Angeles Politics Hotsheet for Tuesday

A blue ribbon panel has released a report detailing how the City can collect unpaid feeds and taxes due it.  One of the suggestions - get rid of the 1992 technology the City is using that makes it nearly impossible to pay fees online.

The Clowncil votes to ask the voters to force them to save for a rainy day.

Good news for folks in Lakeview Terrace and bad news for the Mayor, Felipe Fuentes, Chris Essell and Austin Beutner.  Arnold didn't sign AB 2351.

Bell residents once again show up with pitchforks and torches to Clowncil meeting.  But 80% of the Council under indictment and one already resigned there could be no quorum.

NIMBYs in Woodland Hills are revolting too.  There's talk of recalling Dennis Zine over a coming Costco.  Despite the NIMBY noise once the store is built the minivans will pack the parking lot and suburban armies will consume metric tons of $1 pizza.

Who has a lower approval rating that Barack Obama or Christine O'Donnell? Someone we all know and don't love.

Shady fraud waste and abuse at LA County.  Employees of a company hired to process worker comp claims  for the County are accused of bilking the taxpayers out of $1.5 million.

Saturday morning the Los Angeles Fire Department will remember those firefighters who lost their lives carrying out their duties.

Thanks for great stuff. You forgot one of the best. How can Alarcon get out of this lie saying he lived at his house when DWP has utility bills saying different.

"The 1950 tract house in Panorama City allowed Alarcon to meet a requirement that council members live in the district they seek to represent. But a Department of Water and Power employee told jurors that the house used so little water between September 2007 and September 2009 that the total averaged out to 8.2 gallons per day.

Shocked am I that he did not do better after all he is in bed with the unions. Their only function is to screw the residents by being over paid and way over pensioned. Common sense and AV will never be used in the same paragraph.

I have never met phil in person, but I'm astounded that he doesn't defend the allegations of being a compulsive gambler and other sundry claims.

The one thing people look for in office candidates is stability. This surely doesn't sound like someone living a stable life. For him to post a blog entry about his gambling at the playboy mansion is a sign that Phil is a tool. A silly boy. Someone who likes to get attention even if it is negative. That explains why he wants to run for office. It would be funny if he ever ran, because he is apparently incapable of running his own life, let alone a city council district. Just my two cents which, if phil had, he'd double down on no doubt.

Phil may be the only person i've ever heard of who doesn't keep his vices hidden. It's refreshing, but disturbing at the same time.

Higby,

Can you please post a new subject on the following story and ask Joe B. to respond?

DEMOCRAP Congressman John Conyers lost his driver's license his summer and bounced a check!

So not only can't the DemoCRAPS not run Congress anymore, they can't even run their own lives!

ha ha ha
lol
good one!

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/10/04/conyers-drivers-license-suspended-bounced-check/?test=latestnews

I'd also like to know why Joe B. hasn't posted about CNN's Rick Sanchez getting his fucken ass fired last week after he, a DEMOCRAP made ANTI-SEMITIC comments about Jon Stewart and the bosses at CNNN.

Did Joe B. avoid this subject because he may hold the same views?

Indicted slimeball COuNcilman DICK AlarCON is promoting free health services to illegals today.

How about English classes so they can acclimate?

If anything is holding back the filthy illegals nowadays, it's their refusal to assimilate and learn English. They reject English, and then look to blame others for their failure to get ahead in life.

And yeah, I called them filthy because that's what their barrios look like. They have no pride in living in clean communities. They came from filthy barrios, and they turn once-beautiful LA neighborhoods into filthy barrios.

Don't learn English, and you'll never get ahead.

The one USEFUL thing I ever saw Phil do, and it was hysterical too, was when he dressed up to come to city council and scream at the top of his lungs for Alarcon to resign right then and there. It was both useful and funny. Both firsts for Phil.

Nimbys are "revolting" everywhere, not just in Woodland Hills.

It's the same story everywhere you go.

I got MINE; now you go away!

Nimbys should be called what they are - selfish, short-sighted bastards who'd rather see the ship sink than help give up on inch of their own space or aesthetics.
