Interesting marketing concept, Higby. I can see that they are standing in line to buy crap from Elliott.

Why would you suppose ANYONE would want to be in the same room with that fool??

I will go to the party but only if Haikula is there. Haikula are you going?

If he held his "event" at a place that didn't already have people going or other reasons it would be thhe untamed mutt and higby standing alone in a room.

I have a cool 20 that says Zuma blogs about the "overwhelming success" of the party that will actually produce less than 10 people who be there for "Zuma Dog's comeback".

As the Mayor Sam posts show, there's always going to be the die-hard critics of certain attendees at even simple get-togethers for the Mayor Sam's Blog Birthday.

It's open for everyone who wants to come by and you have to be disappointed with that.

The best thing is that at those events, these people won't be there to be a downer, unless they happen to text in their complaints to somebody there to be read out loud.

Last week there were about 20-30 people from the blog promotion. it was ALL the Zuma/Higby blog crowd. (it's a coffee shop, that isn't usually open at that time, so there was NO crowd besides the owners family, loser.

And these kind of mixers are pretty non-partisan. higby and zd don't agree on every issue...but we have enough in common as bloggers to be able to enjoy an event like this, together.

you're just a sour grapes crybaby. don't be so bitter and just stop by. i think that's what's getting to you.

It isn't the Mayor Sam Blog birthday that people take issue with, it is the non stop narcissists Zuma Dog that has gotten old. When 2 people show up he screams from the rooftops how great he is that the room was packed for his "comeback".

I am not opposed to a Zuma Dog comeback, I just wish he'd go away first.

Do you think any one cares about your take on the situation? You are insane.

No thanks. No one wants to go to this thing held in a tiny room with six tables. What exactly is being celebrated? Typing on a web page? Accomplishing what? Nothing.

What exactly is the $5 gift for? Does the money go to Stinkie?

Thanks To Everyone Who Attended Zuma Dogg's Party For Mayor Sam
Hell yeah! It was everything we were hoping for. Everyone from Sunland -Tujunga, North Hollywood, Venice Beach, Granada Hills, Silverlake, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, El Sereno and elsewhere who showed up to pay tribute to Michael "Mayor Sam" Higby on the 4 Year Anniversary of the Mayor Sam blog!

Matt Dowd rocked the crowd and won over a bunch of new people!

David Hernandez announced he is running for Mayor of Los Angeles against Antonio Villaraiogosa.

Three local newspapers showed up, Tom Topping of the (hometown) Boulevard Sentinel; Nina Royal of the North Valley Reporter and George Cabrera & Jose Aguilar of The Voice.

Louis Puglise who many people hope becomes the next LAUSD boardmember, Joe B. and Abby Diamond from the "No Home Depot" Sunland-Tujunga and Lydia Grant of STNC/Sunland-Tujunga, Rusty Millar of Silverlake NC (Kill The Sign), Olga Hall of Southwest Museum/Autry/Griffith Park (The PEOPLE'S side), Antonio Watch, and a lot of the blog readers and ZD "off-camera" supporters, among others.

And of course, Mayor Sam!

Thanks to Jonson, the owner/operator of Casa Princesa and Highland Park Chamber of Commerce Boardmember who allowed this to all happen.

And YES, we will be doing this again. The Casa is booked next Friday night, but will announce the next date soon.

OVERALL...thanks to everyone who showed up to support Higby...AND YES...I hate to say it, but it was a success...and Mayor Sam and Zuma Dogg maintain dignity!

Pictures taken by Robert (who sends ZD great analysis of the council meetings) coming soon.

the casa princessa has only 10 total tables, but zd makes it sound like the Forum in Inglewood. i was there, but it was 15 people at most at any time including zd dowd and higby.

15 people at the most at any one time? You must have been looking with one eye closed. Nice try. What is your goal, anyway?

I was there, and took a head count when the place looked full and counted about 40-50 people, but some people were outside.
