Outtakes from CD 14, "The Cut and Paste Capital of Los Angeles"
Quiet greetings from a certain "enclave" within CD 14. One these days must keep a low profile or face the wrath of the "Empress of E.....", shhhhhh. One can also be on the blunt end of Ed Rivera's verbal sparring partner who name rhymes with Shaft. But if one runs into the "Minister of Spin" who wants to give you a "High Five", gently turn face away before laughing.
Down below in the flats, news galore.
The Greater Highland Park Neighborhood Council has a excellent message board to promote community interaction, meeting and activities. On Monday April 14, 7:00 PM at Ramona Hall. The Highland Park Heritage Trust will meet to discuss the latest "Ed Reyes inspire" development by "McCormick, Baron, and Salazar". (Did a certain "Friend of Carol" once hold a V.P. position with this company??).
All eyes await the posting of the next Recreation and Parks Commission agenda. Word is that the topic of the Autry National Center Expansion Plan will be on the docket. On can link the Rec. and Park website or link to the Friends of the Southwest Museum. The meeting is schedule for Wednesday, April 16, 5:30 AM at the Montecito Senior Center.
Big gathering expected tomorrow evening at the Puente Learning Center located on 501 S. Boyle beginning at 6:00 PM. The subject is the on-going brouhaha on "Proposed Mural' for the new Hollenbeck Police Station. Word is that the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR" will be live in person.
We like to help facilitate the movement toward community reconciliation by offering examples of persons, places, or things that can be incorporated into the new mural.
People: Paul Gonzalez, Oscar De La Hoya, Art Snyder, Edward Roybal, The "Big O", "Lil O Tonio", Monica Garcia, Richard Alatorre, Zellman Family, Manuel at the Tepayac.
Places: Boyle Hotel, Sears, Tepayac, Mercado, Soto and Cesar Chavez, Wyvernwood, Pueblo del Sol, Ramona Gardens, Breed Street Slo, Roosevelt, Hollenbeck Lake, County-USC.
Things: Paleta Cart, Hollenbeck and Manuel Burritos, Lowrider and magazine, Protest March, Police Car, 8 track player, Art Lebow/KRLA Gear and more.........
San Gabriel Valley Tribune has story on a private group of investors who have approached MTA about financing the missing link between the 710 and 210 freeways. This of course will inspire various responses from the different players in this decades long saga.
Trolleys and Dubai on Broadway??? Speculation is running rampant on the "real" reason for the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR" trip to Dubai as broken by the "FORMER BLOGGIN MENTOR OF MAYOR SAM".
****THANKS TO "CAPTAIN JACK" FOR THIS****

Forget the Empress of Elyria...tell her husband to clean up after his dumb dog and pick up its poops when he walks it. One of these days he's gonna get a ticket...

Don't forget that Hollenbeck Police Station covers more then, Boyle Heights.

Sure Hollenbeck cover more then Boyle Heights but no other area has gotten involved or cared enough to speak out. Shocking Huizar has told people he will attend the mural meeting. Last week on Channel 35 he said the mural is not going up. Cultural Affairs are the sneaking bastards in all of this. AND Lisa Sarno and Paul "Urkel" Hernandez are the two morons who signed off on the mural. They tried to put that piece of shit up without anyone knowing about it. Antonio was the councilman at the time it was approved and now his office is blaming everyone else. People need to know that Cultural Affairs and Antonio need to be held accountable.

$200,000 of taxpayer money for that Boyle Heights mural no one allegedly ever heard of in Huizar's office, yet the city is scrambling to find nickels and dimes to balance the budget. If anyone wants to find real waste it's all in the districts of the Mexicans, the "padrones" of their peons who spread money like manure to cover their own smell.

Lou Dobbs/CNN: "News from Los Angeles: Mounting Anger in that City on its Officials' Refusal to Crack Down on Gangs."
It's here, the groundswell of anger and disgust.
It's featured right up there with the Tibetan protests in San Francisco. (Which register O in this city, which only cares about anything in the "Latiniso" world.)
Coming just as that idiot Cardenas got his other Mexican colleagues, dimwit whites LaBong, Rosendahl, "give me your property taxes Hahn" to approve another plan to give him MORE money for the same failed programs.
Just DEPORT THE DAMNED ILLEGALS, YOU MORONS.

Mirthala should be very careful and look over her shoulder. Antonio doesn't like anyone bad mouthing him especially in the press. Hope he doesn't sue her for defamation. We can hardly wait to read what she has to say, she's been quiet for a long time.

Many words in your story should have ended in "ed" -- it means past tense. If you DON'T use it, dimbulb, then people will think stuff that happened weeks or years ago is happening RIGHT NOW.
And, if you communicate like a moron, then by Jimminy, people have a right to assume you ARE a moron.
Damn it, fix your brain or your keyboard, "GED Spot in C14" (new nickname).
REMEDIAL Spot in CD14 (maybe even a better one)
R- Spot in CD14 (since you CAN'T seem to type "ed" anywhere else????)
If you can type "ed" in Red then what's the problem with all those other "ed" endings to words?
I mean, HEY-Suess H. Christ, how hard can it be to add two stinking letters?

Lisa Sarno was involved? Well that explains the whole screw-up.
Never met a city employee like that before. You would think someone commissioned an RFP to empty out te city of Los Angeles of community advocates, and she was the low bidder.

SARNO WAS THE WINNER! No one has ever behaved more badly!

Yeah right, SLEAZY Huizar didn't know it. He knew and i bet he made some money KEEPING IT from the community. Who can tell me who that new bald dude is hanging out with Sleazy all the time now?

Hollenbeck is all mess-up. I've seen that mural everyday i drive through that shit hole. it looks just like Hollenbeck who are you kidding.

Hollenbeck police don't cover shit, that's why crime is out of control.

8:30pm ok loser that's why they have some of the best officers in the city. Obviously your sorry ass has been stopped by the police and now you have a chip on your shoulder. No doubt you're another illegal crying. Grow up and be a man.

These District 14 'outtakes' grow more cryptic and less informative every time.
They've become so "inside" they serve no purpose to 99.9 percent of people reading posts here. You would basically have had to be at the exact same cocktail party or gallery opening that the author was at, for the same several hours, and maybe standing in the same conversation circle, just to know who he's talking about and why any of it matters.
I think Mr. Red Spot needs his only personal blog, like the ones teenage girls pen for themselves as the modern version of locked diaries, about how their day went in the hallway, by Room 321, next to Timmy's locker.
What a lot of this has to do with Los Angeles' political scene is unfathomable and really just sounds like someone bashing neighbors who left their trash cans out all week.

And yet you continue to read his posts and comment on them. What are you then? Retarded? Bored? Just a whiner?

Nope, just a hopeless optimist thinking SOMEDAY there might be something of value.
And, since this was my first ever comment about this insider outtakes, "continue to" is just a bad guess.
Plus, some days it's the only thing up here for this "whiner" to read, other than Mayor Sam "whining" about the neighborhood council meetings he attends, but doesn't really contribute anything to - so I'm in good company.
(But it is interesting that your insulting response didn't claim there WAS anything of value in these "outtakes" -- so thank you for agreeing at least on my main point before attacking).

Everyone knows that Harmon lives no where near Boyle Heights.
Everyone knows Heckle and Jeckle are FINE (FINE = F'd up, Insecure, Needy and Emotional).

Word has it that the two are alleged secret lovers.
Everyone knows that Harmon lives no where near Boyle Heights, yet she lies and says she does.

You're welcome. I don't bother to comment on non-issues or boring threads. You did and so I had to chastise you. If it's not your first time, there are others out there like you and I'll get to them!

11:39 and 11:44pm sure sounds like some very jealous insecure woman. At least they do more for at risk youth and families in a community that needs the help. It must be horrible living in your skin waking up every day hating the world. You sound like you have so much bitterness towards people who are active and are appreciated for all the hard work of helping hundreds of children. Maybe if you fill the void in your life you can do some good for the community.
