Regional growth, regional violence

Is the region outgrowing its capacity to police itself effectively? Are the density hawks driving the City and the region alike to an increase in stories like the following?

Our own most disenfranchised streets are not the only places in our regional 150-mile-zone where violence is escalating. From GoGirlfriend.com:

American Tourist Kidnappings and Torture on the Rise in Mexico

A San Diego man told CNN his captors sliced his tongue and beat him with the butt of a rifle for 2 weeks while his daughter tried to round up the ransom money. He had been visiting in Tijuana when men dressed like police officers and carrying automatic rifles dragged him off.

"The brutality that is inflicted on some of these people is unconscionable," FBI agent Keith Slotter told CNN.

That's not a yahoo commenter at MayorSam, that's a Fed [ed.--same thing?] talking. But the problem of fake Federales and real terror didn't come up when the Mayor of Mexico City visited Council last December, or during the President of Mexico's visit last month, though Tom LaBonge did present el Alcalde with some highly conciliatory pumpkin bread.

CNN also reported today what looks to be an across-the-border kidnapping in the eastern suburbs of San Diego--some of the same developments with such a high propensity for catching catastrophic fire---and incidentally developed during Gail GPS Goldberg's tenure as San Diego's regional-growth-surrender-monkey planning chief.

"Growth is inevitable. I don't know anyone who doesn't want to grow," Goldberg is fond of saying.

Joe Meat-Head,

"Regional Planning" is not who is doing the kidnapping and being so violent to innocent victims. It is the mexican illegal alien criminals who sneak across the
border who are responsible.

Just read the newspapers, every day in Los Angeles there is violence, murder and mayhem. This is because Los Angeles is a sanctuary city fo illegal aliens, NOT because of Gail Goldberg's planning.

Boy, 13, shot dead while picking lemons in yard

A 13-year-old boy picking lemons outside his home in Los Angeles was shot to death by an unknown killer. The attack Thursday night in the Echo Park area is the latest in a string of shootings that have victimized young children and teens in Los Angeles in recent weeks. Anthony Ezquiel Escobar was found lying on the ground and died at a hospital. He had been shot several times.

2:26 is probably Don Quackers who is going to tell us about the good tacos and margaritas available south of the border. And of course Don Quackers will completely deny that kidnappings of the famous, is very common in Mexico. And Don Q. will also tell us there are NO Mexican Drug Cartels and NO Latino street gangs in Los Angeles and of course there are NO Mexican Kidnappers.

Only good Tacos and Margaritas are found in Mexico !!!!!!

Many celebrities in Mexico have moved to the U.S. to run from the "NON Existent" Mexican Kidnappers.

Mexico world leader in Kidnappings, say Mexican news reports, not a paranoid xenophobe.

A very short list of some "Famous" Mexican kidnappings.
Jorge Campos (soccer player): His father was kidnapped and later found alive in Acapulco, Mexico.
Julio César Chávez received threatening calls, saying his sons would be kidnapped.
Alejandro Fernandez: His brother was kidnapped (see Vicente Fernandez).
Vicente Fernandez: The famous Mexican singer's son, Vicente Fernandez Jr., was kidnapped and later released alive.
Alejandra Guzman: The Mexican singing diva has received several calls threatening to kidnap her ten year old daughter, because of which she has hired extra security.
Julio Iglesias's father was kidnapped in 1985. Found well and alive.
Thalía: The Mexican Diva's sisters, the also famous actress Laura Zapata and Ernestina Sodi, were kidnapped.
Yuri: She was going to be kidnapped, but the plans folded when one of the would be kidnappers left the criminal band that would have committed the act, and told her cousin about the plans.

I wonder if Gail Golderg and Regional Growth, is responsible for this recent kidnapping and subsequent murder in Ontario, Ca. Tell us who you think is really responsible, but be careful you will be accused of causing a "racial shitstorm", if you mention the mex... word.

Police say 34-year-old Santiago Contreras was found Saturday on a mountain slope near Highway 138. It appears he was shot at the scene. Contreras was beaten Feb. 18 by a group of armed men who forced their way into his house and took his wife and three teenage children hostage. Contreras was taken away by gunpoint. No ransom note was given to the family during the five-day ordeal. Police are trying to determine whether there is any connection to an incident where Contreras' brother-in-law was held for ransom in Mexico last year in a drug-related incident.

An Ontario father of three was beaten and kidnapped Monday afternoon by a band of men who police said had held his wife and children hostage for hours as they waited for his return home, authorities said today.

Police have no suspected motive and the family has received no ransom demand, said Ontario Police Lt. Brad Wirtz. Authorities said they believed it is possible that the suspects fled across the border to Mexico.

Tell Don Quackers to start his own blog and then he and his AnonyMouse enemy can slap each other around, all day long.

We don't need to go as far as Saskatoon or Winnepeg Canada to report on daily latino gang crimes. We have mre than enough latino gang crime, right here in Los Angeles county to annoy you.

Here is another story from today's Pasadena Newsaper, you know Pasadena is really, really far from Los Angeles, maybe 10 minutes away.

http://www.pasadenastarnews.com/ci_8489877?

Seven suspected gang members arrested in Pasadena

PASADENA - Seven suspected gang members were arrested in the city in the last week for the stabbing and beating of three people at a city gas station. The people were fueling up their car at a gas station near the intersection of Lake Avenue and Washington Blvd. around 2:30 a.m. on February 10 when the suspects surrounded them and attacked, said Lt. Alex Uribe of the Pasadena Police. The men arrested are Julio Hernandez, 23, Gustavo Menzo, 18, Edgar Sentero, 19, Michael Martin Solis, 19, Robert Julio Arnaud, 19, Jose Antonio Garcia, 24, and Wilbur Dominguez, 19. Uribe said that he believed the suspects are members of the Pasadena Latin Kings gang.

Wow, that's an extremely complementary article about Ms. Goldberg's work. Mr. Maliander, can you provide us with a similar article about you accomplishments? Of course not, you are an alcoholic failed bank teller who spends his days drinking Modelo and criticizing Ms. Goldberg, who is far more successful than you will ever hope to be.

I would love to see a debate between Joe "PMS" Mailander and Gail "GPS" Golberg.

There may be no Mexican crime in Saskatoon, Canada because there are probably no Mexicans.

In one town north of Detroit, a few hundred illegal Mexicans settled within a span of a few weeks, and the whole town flew into a panic, and the Mayor "banned" any more Mexicans from coming, and told them they were not welcome to help themselves to the free healthcare the good people of Canada worked hard and taxed themselves for.

Nor were their kids welcome in the schools, which were unapologetically CANADIAN and English and/or French-speaking. It's Maple Leafs and maple syrup there, not Mexican flags and churros. (Though they probably wouldn't mind just the churros.)

This is true thoughout Canada.

Funny, that with all that land and open space in a country bigger than the U. S., Canadians are perfectly happy to keep their entire population at its current size, which is about the illegal Hispanic population of the U S.

Funny, those stupid Canadians seem to think that their quality of life is dependent on a solid middle class without the massive illiterate, barely Spanish speaking underclass of poor foreigners intent on remaking their country into a reflection of Mexico.

Funny how they know that a huge influx of population of a foreign, unassimilated people with different cultural values, would sink them and not be the great boon our Hispanic and leftist leaders insist it is.

Joe M, DO NOT report on any cross border kidnappings, if you do you are a racist, who hates Mexicans. From now on only talk about the good food and cheap beer from mexico.

http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/mexico/tijuana/20080206-9999-1m6kidnap.html

Organized, well-financed and violent Mexican kidnapping cells are targeting a growing number of U.S. citizens visiting communities popular with San Diegans and other California residents.

Last year, at least 26 San Diego County residents were kidnapped and held for ransom in Tijuana, Rosarito Beach or Ensenada, local FBI agents overseeing the cases said yesterday. In 2006, at least 11 county residents had been kidnapped in the three communities.

We don't need to talk about Canada's immigration policy.
All the Mexican illegal alien apologists, just need to look at Mexico's immigration policy.

Mexico is NOT welcoming the poor from Guatemala, El Salvador or Honduras. The Mexican government knows how to deal with it's illegal alien problem. Mexico deports it's illegal aliens, what a shock !!!!

The mexicans come here expecting rights, well they just need to look at what their own government does for illegal aliens, not a damn thing.

Hypocricy at it's finest.

Of course kidnapping and torture of American tourists in towns of TJ, Rosarito Beach and Ensenada didn't come up with Calderon was visiting with the Mayor -- it was all about beating up on the U.S. as the cause of all Mexico's ills, including this crime. Because if we had open borders they could come here more easily and wouldn't have to be trying to "just make a living" by things like kidnapping and human traficking. Another recent L A Times article talked about whole border towns of smugglers, who are impervious even to Border Guards' pepper spray (they wear special heavy clothing), blame the U. S. for the problem because we don't have open borders, and justify what they do as "just filling a need."
