Now, that's a scribe

A newspaper should have no friends.---Joseph Pulitzer

Kudos to kudos-riddled David Zahniser for doing a column on the newest turn in Rocky Delgadillo's long history climbing into bed with the City's most pervasive billboard-blighter, Clear Channel.

It's not only Rocky and his Friends that Zahniser takes on in that piece, by the way.

Earlier this week, the former fishwrap of record noisily climbed into bed even more intimately with the very same billboard giant. There are ten new electronic breaking-news eyesores in LA, and they'll get a ten-week trial run promoting breaking stories---like ZeeMan's, hopefully.

Rocky Delgadillo and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa have offered up the city attorney services for free to a member of the public. Maria Blackman, exwife of Deputy Mayor Jimmy Blackman had animal rights protestors legally protesting at her house. Maria does not want these people to protest at her house. Instead of hiring her own attorney the City is representing her for free at the order of the Mayor and Delgadillo.

These protestors protest at the Mayor's house, his exwife's house, his sister's house, the Directors house, Chief of Staff's house, employees houses and no one tries to stop those protests. Why are they using city funds to legally represent a private citizen? Why are they trying to stop legal protest? Why doesn't the Mayor try to stop the protestors from protesting at his exwife's house? The Mayor doesn't care about his exwife, obviously. Blackman's exwife has been hounding Blackman all day and night to do something so he's using city funds to help her. Your tax dollars at work.

One more thing, the City tried in the past to get restraining orders on these protestors maybe three times. They lost every single time and had to pay the protestors money. The city won't even win this lawsuit against the protestors. Waste of taxpayer funds

3:32 asks since Maria Blackman is a private citizen "Why are they using city funds to legally represent a private citizen?"

We should be asking why are the protestors harassing a private citizen? Those protestors should've let her be.

Instead, they decided to bother Maria Blackman like she's in government, leaving the city with no choice but the same obligation to protect her from frantic Animal Liberationists like they would for any government employee.

I actually wrote a letter to Delgadillo insisting that we pay for the fees for Jimmy Blackman's wife.

What those sicko people did to his EX-wife is horrible.

Those people suck and Jimmy's wife and daughter should be protected from anyone who tells a young girl that her dad murders puppies.

Sick fucks ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Free speech my ass. They're horrible, awful people.

You can't blame Jimmy Blackman's ex for being afraid. There was something in the LA Weekly about a sick animal welfare bastard threatened to spray paint her car, or some such felony.

I have NO problem paying for this poor womans city attorney and I hope Bratton's got cops protecting this family.

What about "ROCKTARD BOARDS"?

BTW, flashing billboards and red eye flights don't mix.

3:32 must be one of those animal activist nuts who clog up this blog.

As for Rocky: Clear Channel donated over $500,000 toward his campaign, and it's laughable how they're claiming that Ryan Seacrest is going to the party because "he's heard good things about Rocky."

Like what? Voted one of the top ten worst lawyers in the country and a local laughingstock and coward over how he handled his own driving without insurance and his wife's behavior, plus losing every single lawsuit including this one against Clear Channel, even a fool like Seacrest can't have "heard" anything good.

Rocky was sent to REDUCE the number of billboards Clear Channel had up, many of which didn't have a permit, and therefore were costing the city millions in lost permit fees and causing "billboard blight."

Instead, Rocky came back with just the opposite: he gave Clear Channel rights to put up unlimited and far huger, lighted billboards, for a minimal flat fee.

(That's millions lost to the city every year, folks, and coming out of our extra taxes.)

The Council and especially attorney Weiss, who'd sent Rocky on that task, were furious -- but now Rocky is claiming he was acting on the City Council's orders. What a sleazy liar as well as incompetent.

I agree about the city providing Blackman's wife with lawyers. She is miserably picketed and lampooned with other political targets like Rocky on that awful lakills website by the same twisted animal fuck who sued the city and puts nutty posts on Mayor Sam. I were her I'd be scared of this sicko.

So, the city should pay to protect ex-wives of employees? Should they also pay for the employees and volunteers who've been harassed by these same protestors? Why didn't they protect the employees and volunteers who were harassed 100 times more than Maria?

The city is currently being sued for not protecting an ex-employee from these same protestors.

Each time someone is harrased, it makes their case stronger and collectively maybe something can be done. I am all for freedom of speech and think that people should be able to protest but it needs to be at the right time and place and not at the house of someone who cant hear the message.

Rocky is the most corrupt elected official in LA, even worse than MAV.

Jack Weiss won't be much better, if he is elected City Attorney.
