Mayor will address gang violence on KXOL 96.3

JM, Oddfellow Cemetary, 2.12.08

The recent spate of gang-related murders that have taken Los Angeles officials so much by surprise will be addressed tomorrow by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and the family of Jamiel Shaw, Jr. on reggaeton leader KXOL Latino 96.3.

The show unrepentantly bills itself, some westsiders will be surprised to learn, as "Morning Invasion." The show is large enough to have landed President Bill Clinton the day before the California primary, helping to shore up Hillary's decisive Los Angeles victory. The station has been in the top ten LA market radio stations, but is currently 13th.

Earl Ofari Hutchinson started reporting in his Daily Blog back in November and before, that the black community feels Bratton and the Hispanic leaders are intentionally covering up the racial aspects of gang wars in town, especially when it's Latino on black.

Like the killer of Jamiel Shaw, a young clean-record black teen killed for not having a gang ID by a Latino gangbanger, member of 18th street, who'd gotten out of prison just the day before for felony with an armed weapon. He may have been illegal, but the pols and Bratton are refusing to say, apparently to keep the illegal criminal aspect out of it.

Meanwhile on its own, ICE is seeking out illegal criminals who repeatedly re-enter after deportation, per today's L A Times.

Some defenders claim it's unfair, that there are cases like a mom of 2 deported for a long-ago felony, then returned next day to her two kids, had 4 more here (the woman is in around 32, 6 anchor babies), and the feds want to deport her again.

They should just deport the whole family is she doesn't sign off that they have someone to care for them here -- they shouldn't be an excuse for her to keep defying the laws.

Hutchinson admits there's some black on brown violence now, too -- but says we should be told about all of it, what's really going on in our country. Some gang workers on the street know that there's a rise in intentional racial wars.

Bratton and the Hispanics clearly just want to avoid the inevitable outcry to deport the illegals.

I will tell you an often repeated story, of many single mothers who immigrate here illegally to work in this country. The single mother has kids in her country (Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and etc.) which she can’t feed because jobs are scarce and wages are very low. So the well intentioned mother immigrates to the U.S. and finds a job and sends money home and saves money to “send” for her kids. When her kids arrive they are sent to schools, such as Belmont High which has many gangs, 18th, Diamond St., Temple St. and etc. The mother lives in an area, where there are gangs living all around her, but as an adult working 7 days she would not be involved and know all this. When the recently arrived kids return from school with stories of gangs, drugs and school fights the mother learns about the infamous LAUSD. Fast forward to 9 months, now one of her kids has joined a gang for one many reasons, fear, lack of supervision, enjoys the vida loca and etc.

The reality is, even a well intentioned single mother, working long hours, 6-7 day a week can’t properly raise kids in the “gang capital of the world’ I have seen many mothers looking for help for their kids but in these times of budget cuts, no real help is available. If the kid is sent to juvenile hall, the kid is put in a place where young gang members are kings and rulers. Los Angeles juvenile halls are just recruiting and training grounds for more gang members. Drugs are rampant in juvenile hall just like in the big boy jails. This is just one problem, which I am all too familiar with.

I expect to Joe HeadUpAss to tell us how we should embrace every illegal alien who sneaks across the border, because the U.S. needs them and they really don't cost us financially.

They and hundreds of others like them have been victims of senseless, brutal, cold-blooded murders in Los Angeles County by fugitives who have escaped justice for the price of a bus ticket across the border.

Economy is in a tailspin, so is world economy, gold heading for $1100 oz, dollar coming apart at the seams against other world currencies. Former Fed Chairman Greenspan says it's the worst economic crisis since the depression, Bush says he doesn't want to over react, Fed lowers the interest rate today in a rare weekend emergency move, seems the whole thing is starting to unravel,

Lets hear it again for the Friedman school of supply side economics! Let's hear some more about less govt interference with Business and more deregulation, with Corporate profits at an all time high and real wages at a post war low lets her a round of applause for the "Trickle Down Theory of Economics"

Lets have a Toga Party !

The current topic is the Mayor addressing gang violence on radio station KXOL 96.3, so of course we know who would chime in with a comment about the economy. Don Quackers does NOT want all the "xenophobic racists" to talk about latino gangs of Los Angeles, it upsets the old cholo apologist. But if you want to talk about mayates and gangs then Don Quackers is your man. Don Quackers loves telling stories about the low-down mayates.

More gruesome news from today's Los Angeles Times. And you thought this only happened in Tijuana, well on second thought, East Los Angeles is almost Tijuana. If all the mexican politicos keep supporting the gang criminals and not the police, It won't be long before the criminals, will be the only ones willing to be "cops" in East Los Angeles. Huizar is working hard to get his wishes.

Fiery death sent a message

The killers who set a man on fire in East L.A. know that fear silences witnesses. Its a common tactic, police say.
It was among the most brutal Southland homicides in recent memory: On a sunny Sunday afternoon last fall, two men jumped out of an SUV and set Marcial Sanchez on fire, in full view of a crowd on Cesar Chavez Boulevard in East Los Angeles.

A black GMC Yukon-type SUV with "spinner" hubcaps pulled up and double-parked near him. Two men, both Latino, jumped out. One grabbed Sanchez and poured a container of what detectives say probably was gasoline over him; the other flicked on a cigarette lighter. Sanchez burst into flames. The assailants leaped into the SUV, which made a U-turn and sped down an alley.

1 killed, 2 injured in eatery shooting.

A shooting outside Alberto's Mexican Food and Seafood restaurant in Wilmington left one man dead and two others injured early Sunday morning. It was a busy karaoke night at the restaurant just off the Harbor (110) Freeway on Pacific Coast Highway when the four men began brawling. The fight eventually moved outside into the parking lot and that is where the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired several shots, hitting three men, according to Los Angeles police. Thomas Rodriguez, 18, died of gunshot wounds at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Victor Saucedo-Heredia, 23, and Ruben Saucedo, 21, were both transported to local hospitals and were in stable condition Sunday afternoon. A surveillance tape from outside the restaurant showed the suspect, who police describe as a Hispanic man in his 40s, fleeing the scene in a pickup truck.

Mayor V. here is another shooting outside the latino nightclub Guatelinda, dancing cumbia and salsa is very dangerous business in Los Angeles. I wonder why the victims disappear and there are no witnesses? Could it be gang related, or just a latino culture thing?

http://ktla.trb.com/news/local/ktla-nightclubshooting,0,2545835.story

At least three people were shot today near an east Hollywood nightclub, police said. The shooting occurred at or near the Guatelinda nightclub at 4916 Hollywood Blvd., near Edgemont Street, about 1:20 a.m., said a Los Angeles police officer at the Hollywood Station. Thought Chief was his own man. Guess not since he allows Antonio to hang off him at every news conference.

Even though technically the Mayor is his boss, he has enough clout to tell the Mayor to go away. He's loosing the clout and respect quickly.
