Yes, like the Westside White Guy, I've posted some girly pictures. There's a new anchor-babe in town, in fact she was voted the "sexiest newscaster of 2006" in an FHM Magazine reader poll.Elita Loresca is the new weather anchor for KNBC's "Today in LA" and the "Midday Report."
Loresca previously worked at Fox affiliate WSVN in Miami, where she was the weather anchor on the top-rated morning and noon newscasts since August 2004. Loresca has covered two of the most devastating hurricane seasons in recent history. Starting on her first day at WSVN, Loresca began forecasting the

A report last week that the number of animals dying in city animal shelters is sure to provoke more outrage among activists who already have been busy behind the scenes.
Their targets have been Deputy Mayor Jimmy Blackman, who is the mayor's liaison to the Animal Services Commission, and the mayor's sister, Debbie Villar.
Officials with the various activist organizations said their protests are designed to try to force out Ed Boks, the current Animal Services general manager.
Protesters have made themselves a regular presence at Villaraigosa's home and various events where he appears, much as they did with former Mayor James Hahn.
The mayor and Blackman said they would not comment on the protests

Only in Los Angeles would the news of the murder of a 14 year old girl be relegated to rarely read and seen Homicide Report. In most cities across America this would make Head-Line news, but in the gang capital, barely a whisper is heard. How has this type of situation come to exist, where a young girl’s life has no value in the eyes of her fellow human beings? A truly sad state of affairs here in the city of Angles, which does not deserve that name.

Rampart: A 14-year-old girl is killed
Rampart: Diana Tomas, 14, a Latina girl, was found shot in the head on the pavement at 417 N. Lafayette Park Place next to the 101 Freeway in LAPD's Rampart Division at about 2:30 p.m. Dec. 2. She was lying wounded on the ground, on a pathway next to a soundwall near Benton Way. She was taken to County-USC Medical Center, where she survived for four more days.
Diana's death on Dec. 6 is just now being reported on the Homicide Report because the case was not initially reported as an injury assault, and investigators did not know who Diana was. They thought she was about 20 years old. She was listed as "Jane Doe" at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the same afternoon Diana was shot, her mother had gone to Rampart station to report her missing. Diana was a Virgil Middle School student who sometimes ran away from home, and police had taken the report, not realizing she was the same person now lingering on a respirator at County-USC. Diana had never been arrested, so when she was fingerprinted at the hospital, police could find no match, and were unable to identify her.
It took a few more days to put it together. Diana's mother heard a rumor that a young woman had been shot and returned to the station to ask if this might be her daughter. A detective drove her to the hospital where she saw her daughter, still alive on life-support, and identified her. "It was shocking to us when we found out she was 14," said Det. Fred Faustino, Rampart homicide supervisor. Diana was taken off life support at 9:18 a.m. Dec. 6.
There was new tagging on the sound wall near where she fell. She may have been walking by, and become a crossfire victim, Faustino said. Detectives are seeking information on the case. They are at (213) 207-2060.
I hate to agree with the poster who disses her for looking "too Mexican," especially if she's Filipino Hispanic but she does look like someone from a Mexican soap or telenovela, these people make our country look more Third World than Mexico itself. About animals: Daily News yesterday has piece about how the animal activists demanding a lower animal kill rate means that crowding more and older, sicker animals into cages means they're more likely to give each other diseases, fight from cramped conditions, and die of old age. They emphasize it's a trade off.
But you never hear animal activists acknowledge these tradeoffs, they just scream about everything and post videos of old guys napping.
And show up at the homes of MAV, or really his wife's now, Blackman's exwife and father, everyone, and scream at them via megaphone to get them to "persuade" their relatives.
Some cases have elicited restraining orders, but these people push limits and piss people off by their hostile tactics.

I think its silly to have a debate how dark her skin is and that she looks "too Mexican" what is too Mexican? Especially when she is not even Mexican or Hispanic. I don't know why Mexicans wouldn't find an attractive woman who happens to be very dark, dark. I find many very dark skinned women (look at some of the supermodels from Africa) to be attractive, who cares what race they are? And the Eva Longoria thing is, well she's popular because she's good at cheesy acting. She's too dark for Mexico? She could easily pass for any number of ethnicities.
