Prop R Back In Court Monday: Has The Trans-fat Challenged Lady Sang Yet, Or Not?

WHO: Community Advocates David Hernandez and Ted Hayes represented by Attorney Candice E. Jackson.
WHAT: Petitioners to argue Prop R was a Ballot Initiative and will request Judge Vacate Judgment and Enter Different Judgment.
WHEN: August 20, 2007, 9:30 AM
WHERE: Los Angeles Superior Court, Dept 86 Rm 836
David Hernandez and Ted Hayes will once again take to the legal battlefield in their challenge to Prop R.
Judge David P. Yaffe will again hear arguments from Attorneys representing the City of Los Angeles and Attorney Candice E. Jackson representing Hernandez and Hayes.
The City Attorney had raised the issue of Prop R not being a Ballot Initiative and therefore not subject to the single issue rule contained in the State Constitution.
The following day Judge Yaffe issued his ruling that based on documents and oral arguments Prop R was not a “Ballot Initiative” and did not have to conform to the single issue rule.
Attorney Jackson will argue that based on City documents, which included a letter from Council President Eric Garcetti requesting the Los Angeles City Clerk issue a City Council File Number to this proposed Ballot Initiative and agendize it for a Special Meeting of the Los Angeles City Council, Prop R was in fact a Ballot Initiative and subject to the State Constitution.
She will be citing the evidence that the Los Angeles City Clerk assigned City Council 06-1800-S1 to the measure and the Title assigned to the number was:
“Ethics Reforms/Term Limit Extensions/Ballot Initiative”. It was this City Council File number item which was sent to the City Council to be voted upon and placed on the Ballot.
If the Petitioners are successful, they will immediately request a suspension of all aspects of Prop R which have been implemented.
As the legal teams prepare, the City Council, Lobbyists and Special Interest Groups, wait.

We need to now boycott fighting Prop R because Zuma Twit is against it.
I will say it again and everytime Zuma posts: Zuma Dogg is a clown, I will not read or post on Mayor Sam until he removes Zuma Dogg.

But it's pretty sneaky, putting this on the court docket when CC is on a well-known and always the same time, vacation.
Judge is clearly biased in favor of Homeless Activist Ted Hayes, and who the hell is he, Hernandez.

You can get online polls that do not let an IP address vote more than once; why not do one about keeping or blowing off Zuma?

Who are you that said Alger will sue. Jim Alger must be rich to sue anyone; Zuma or Mayor Sam. What will he get from it? He will get big bills from attorneys, and nothing from Zuma. Why would Alger get involved for such a losing proposition? I THOUGHT SOMEONE SAID ALGER WAS SMART?
The Measure R fight might need some folks with some more mental firepower than the current crew. The fact that they lost the first round is stunning. The fact that they have taken so long is inexcusable. Don't they know judges don't overturn ballot initiatives if they sit on the books long? Do they think an appellate court will remove Alarcon from office well into his next term?
Zuma is the punching bag for those who have some sense and want to save this blog.

I think it is funny to watch people tell "Jim or Zuma" to stop the banter, as if you actually KNOW either one are posting anonymously.
Both have said they don't (although the sudden wave between ZD's post at 10am through 10:30 indicate to a logical observer that the dog does in fact post anonymously). According to ZD we can chip in and put him on a lie detector test -- an insane gesture from an insane mind.
Here is the problem, and why ZD feels the need to throw out unfounded accusations: he can't afford, mentally, to believe that people really don't like him. He just can't put his head there so the only dilusion he can come up with is that someone (today it is Jim Alger, last week it was a "fellow blogger") spends their every waking moment posting about ZD. They sacrifice their family, job and sanity just ti post on Mayor Sam. He has do make himself believe that, if he didn't his ego drive pea brain would simply implode.
But ZD, to use a line from a dear friend, just because you say it 100 times, doesn't make it so.
