Zuma and Matt Cover Home Depot Vote at City Hall
Matt and I took a quick trip to Van Nuys for public comment, but when we saw the HUGE crowd Downtown, we didn't want them to be disappointed that they took a trip to City Hall the day that ZD and Matt were in Van Nuys. As you can see by the faces in the crowd, as ZD enters chambers, it would have been a big let down had we not made the extra effort to make the trip Downtown. So we gave the people what they wanted; showed up to say hello; and shot some behind the scenes video of the crowd along with the media coverage. Did you see the meeting today? Could Jan Perry have been more of a bafoon, laughing stock as she, once again, tripped all over the democratic proccess as she sat in for Council President Eric Garcetti as Pro-Tem? You can hear Eric actually have to step in and bail out this inept threat to democracy. (Basically, she was stubborn and didn't want to be seen losing to Matt Dowd after he called attention on camera that she didn't call his card for comment. She ignored it. Eric couldn't. HE HAD TO STEP IN TO PREVENT PROBLEMS DOWN THE LINE FOR THE MAYOR. (See video of meeting at lacity.org Item 39 and keep watching.) However, by then, COUNCIL ACTUALLY HAD TO RECONSIDER THE VOTE OF A MAYORAL APPOINTEE CAUSE JAN DECIDED TO BUTT HEADS WITH MATT DOWD...AND LOST!
Can't Jan get ANYTHING right? Do we really need her up there embarassing the City as she loses on-camera challenges over simple details to MATT DOWD forcing Garcetti to have to step in and bitch slap Perry to do the right thing? Does the City need this kind of bad PR and civil liabilty up there representing the City? Jan Perry is the "Jack Weiss" of City Council Mayor Pro-Tems.

Have you ever seen a bunch of adults behave like disrespectful, loud mouthed, condensending idiots and I'm speaking of council members? I've never seen such lack of respect to a commander of LAPD when he appeared yesterday to answer question on why LAPD helps feds on their raids. THey were stupid enough to wear pink arm bands to show support for medical marijuana clinics that FEDS are raiding because of illegal activity, gun possession, money laundering, fake document sales and yup leave it up to our low life council members to SUPPORT THESE CLINICS. DUUHHHHHH!!!!!
Sanctuary City is getting old; we need to close the bordefs and send these guys back home to whence they came.
I hope they take Matt Dowd nack to Austrialia and ZD back to Never-Never Land with Peter Pan.

So I thought I would let you experience the wave of smiles and joy ZD gets to experience, everytime he walks into a crowded council chamber. I appreciate someone shouted, "Zuma Dogg, you're my hero", not for the ego reason, but because it says that people are paying attention. And obviously don't buy the loserspin and lies being propogandized on this blog.

They have more research than I do right now, and look how they are responding...must see some reason for concern. I know I experienced an added level of recognition and favorable response in chambers yesterday and around the city.

But don't call me a hero in a crowd of people, because it kind of gives the impression I am doing something on "behalf" of others, which allows them to sit back and watch me, instead of joining me and all the other "gadflys" and activists who I speak with on the phone and in person. (If people like what ZD is saying, then they are liking what all the community leaders I speak with each day who provide me the information are saying.)

Your buddy Matt Dowd was in chambers speaking in favor of Home Depot during the 245 motion. So out of step with the largest land use issue in years (and certainly discussed on this blog) that he actually identified the bussed in orange shirts as true representatives of Sunland-Tujunga. I had to hand him the memo showing him it was a sham.
Some of us have been busting our butts for years to make sure the Foothill Corridor Specific Plan was followed, and Joe and the rest of the NHDC deserve a big pat on the back. This blog repeatedly belittled them. Not many took the time to get into the actual issue, including you... so don't you dare grandstand with your bs now that the community won.
I keep trying to tell you, this isn't a game. These are real peoples lives. It isn't about how insulting you fools can be to an elected official.

when I talk about Home Depot all I imagine is budget deficit to China and any prejudice that now comes with that. suicides and product recalls don't exactly make me feel comfortable with Chinese trade.
everything we use comes from China now. turn it over and see where its made... the computer, the I whatever, hi fi, cell phone, then all the furniture, paintings, decorations , plates and utensils, sheets, towels, glasses.....
