JESSICA WETHINGTON MCLEAN STEPS DOWN FROM EAGLE ROCK NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL, AS SHE SHOULD, SINCE SHE IS CM JOSE HUIZAR'S EAGLE ROCK PLANNING DEPUTY AND SITS ON THE 912 REVIEW COMMISSION. SO THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS WISE DECISION. BUT HERE'S WHAT CITY HALL NEEDS TO WORK ON...DON'T SAY, "FAMILY DEMANDS"...Say, "Due to concerns of conflict of interest as a paid Councilmember staffer, especially as Planning Deputy, I am going to step down as ERNC Boardmember. [But, I will remain on the 912 Review Commission, even though powers that be at City Hall warned against it.] Thanks Guys! ZD

Dear Honorable Board Members:
Family demands and other personal commitments necessitate that I withdraw from the
ERNC Board after five great years. However, I do so knowing that the council is in good hands, with an effective, dedicated board and core leadership that will keep the council true to its goals to improve the community and serve as Eagle Rock’s “Local Link to City Government.”
I will continue advocating for neighborhood councils citywide as a commissioner on the Neighborhood Council Review Commission, and will remain actively engaged in the
community — as your neighbor and as a volunteer, as well as through my work as
Planning & Economic Development Director for Councilmember José Huizar.
Sincerely Yours,
Jessica Wethington McLean

this resignation is just before Jessica will attempt to force the "Master Plan" down the throats of Eagle Rock residents and businesses.
As an "impartial" planning deputy she will be attempting to re-make all the commercial boulevards in Eagle Rock in her own image- oversized - noisy - ugly and annoying

Huizar loves Eagle Rock. He gives more money to them then any other part of his CD14. Why? Cause they don't question his butt about things he's not doing like in other areas. Notice Eagle Rock doesn't have illegal vendors cause those rich residents tell him to get rid of them. But on the Eastside they're all over the place and Huizar lets them be. Rich vs poor

Stop using caps you queen.
Nothing you say matters enough.

Will someone tell us what Huizar has done in the time he's been on? Like Antonio they are getting paid a fortune of our tax dollars yet have no accomplishments to speak of for that money. Huizar will go out of his way for illegals in his district on the Eastside. Why doesn't Eagle Rock have illegals?

10am: You're an idiot to assume that Huizar's enforcement/presence in Eagle Rock is what keeps illegal vendors away. Its all about supply and demand.

Well, Zuma, you did it!
Democracy is finally safe, thanks to your efforts!

I saw that resignation letter and there was a lot more to it than you printed here. If you're going to "report" the story, how about telling the whole truth, instead of being SHADY DOGG?

Yep, ZD chopped the actual letter top and bottom.
Here it is (in full) - come on ZD!
Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council
PO Box 41652
Los Angeles, CA 90041 July 10, 2007
Dear Honorable Board Members:
It has been my pleasure and privilege to serve the Eagle Rock community as a founding board member of the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council. I’m honored to have been elected to three terms as Sub-District Two Director and to have been selected by my peers on the council to serve in additional capacities through the years as Vice-President, Land Use Co-Chair, and Communications & Government Relations Officer.
While on the ERNC, I have gotten to know a great number of community members, many of whom I now consider friends. I will always be grateful to community leaders with decades of service to their credit who embraced my desire to serve when I first became active with the ERNC, and who continue to mentor and encourage me as my path in service evolves.
Family demands and other personal commitments necessitate that I withdraw from the ERNC Board after five great years. However, I do so knowing that the council is in good hands, with an effective, dedicated board and core leadership that will keep the council true to its goals to improve the community and serve as Eagle Rock’s “Local Link to City Government.”
I will continue advocating for neighborhood councils citywide as a commissioner on the Neighborhood Council Review Commission, and will remain actively engaged in the community — as your neighbor and as a volunteer, as well as through my work as Planning & Economic Development Director for Councilmember José Huizar.
I wish you each the best of luck as you continue the ERNC’s proud legacy of service. Thank you for the work we’ve accomplished together. I am truly honored to have been a part of the council’s initial development and will enjoy watching it continue to thrive in years to come.
Sincerely Yours,
Jessica Wethington McLean

Even with the whole letter it's still a yawner of a "story" though.
Five years is along time and some people really do have family and personal lives beyond city hall and this downhill blog. I doubt it had anything to do with Shady Dogg. Believe it ZD, the earth would not stop rotating if you weren't around.
Get us a real story. And stop using caps.

What HAS Huizar done in CD-14's Eagle Rock area that anyone else elected to that office could not have done?
What's the current CM salary? $176,000.00 per year plus staff and equipment and budget- All that and we get a "low profile" to the point of no profile.
And then when you DO hear from him, it's something about support for illegal aliens- never anything about enforcement. Either a non-priority or a side taken by him contrary to logic.
Benefits for us? Did he do anything about NOT raising monthly trash fees where there were no fees before? If he did oppose it I did not hear any of it, but he was the Mayor's chosen successor in the CM post, and the Mayor pushed this on us.
The continuing nose-dive that LAUSD took while Huizar was Pres. of the School Board was not mentioned. His actions were nothing close to great. Building program, lots of schools? Yeah, remember that lots of people were displaced from their homes for these schools to be built because of crowding (due to effects of Illegal Immigration?).
Construction and land did not come cheaply. And then we had charter schools further reducing the LAUSD population, taking in the best students and leaving the less-than-best in achievement, behavior, attitude and so on, for schools to be made more challenging than ever. How does that drain of motivated students help our public schools situation? He was part of that and now Monica Garcia is there.
In CD-14- still waiting to see something GOOD from CM Jose.

Jessica Wethington was a dude before and had a sex change operation. This may be the reason why she looks the way she does.
She is not a fat sow... She is one big roll tundra ass.

I am fat and I like the soft squishy flesh that jiggles when I walk and especially when it's hot outside and my fat obese thighs rub together.

Let's see, this original blog story was from July 2007. The last three comments above were posted in April and August 2008 - like a year after the original story was posted.
All three late posts are hater posts about the same lady and all from the same isp address under different names. Nobody responded so the hater got desperate and posted back to themself.
Have fun talking to yourself?
