I'm still waiting for Steve Lopez to report his findings like he said in one of his columns about the 26 city staff cars Antonio has. Are any of them being driven by his women friends at taxpayer expense. 26 damn that's a lot of cars for ONE politican. Then you have 15 clowncil members and how many city staff cars do they each have for employees? I know that some of the clowncil staffers usee those cars out as their weekend getaway.

The payroll system problem at the LAUSD can easily be linked to Monica Garcia and her close college buddy. Her buddy (an employee at Deliotte) lobbied the District to use the failed software system.
Now Monica is pulling a "cut and run" leaving her friend holding the bag to take on the damage.
Someone elluded to this relationship in an earlier thread in early July.
9:17: The system was put in place way, way before her, under Romer. Who was not reappointed, is off back on his ranch in the west somewhere. Could run a state, but not LAUSD.\
So now they got Brewer, a guy with NO education or other relevant experience who knows nothing and does nothing, but keeps the status quo. At a salary of around $400 thou, including his house being paid for (hey, it's expensive to lure a guy out here with no experience, who will do whatever Marlene Kanter tells him), and of cuorse, the cars.
Good thing Monica is kicking butt.
i've got $10,000 that says by any objective measure, the lausd will be clearly worse in 5 years than it is right now. same for 10 years.

Ohhh. The money. I was always trying to figure out why Villaraigosa was so intent on taking over the LAUSD. Now I see, it's the billions to be parceled out to favored developers and contractors. Thanks for the info.
