Open Thread for Sunday: Antonio and Paris are Victims?
Are Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and "socialite" Paris Hilton "victims" of the media or willing volunteers? The Attack Machine blog notes a Daily News headline, “The curse of celebrity. Antonio, Paris pay price for our obsession with fame.”Attack Machine tells us something I think all of us (except the Villaraigosaistas) already know: Antonio is a publicity whore, plain and simple.

Victims, like the victim that got kicked out of school for dealing drugs,
Like the victim that dropped out of school because he got his girl knocked up and was to busy organizing his friends to mount that "train" defense.
Like the victim that assaulted that lady in the Venice Room. Like the victim that ruined his best friends family because he just had to have his wife.
Like the victim that waited until a week before his first cancelled marriage to tell Corina that he actually had two kids instead of one, I wonder if Corina ever found out about the first son that was put up for adoption.
Like the victim that trashed all his close friends when he got elected.
Like the victim that destroyed that women's non-profit in Boyle Heights due to his lies.
Like the victim that has left four families by the side of the road as his career ambitions are met.
How fitting that this topic comes up on Father's Day. The only victims here are the children. If Antonio were such a grat father, why weren't Tonito and Natalia by his side during that press conference?

I could shed some light on the mystery of why the council has not censured him.
Seems that the father of our council president had his own brush with automotive unethical behavior.
Twas in the hills tween Silver Lake and Echo Park.

He is such a classless POS! One thing that absolutely drives me CRAZY is his cholo accent! Have you noticed how he pronounces "L.A."? It's ALWAYS.."AL-A" ! He is phonetically challenged...due to his immigrant statuc! Was he really born LA???? You would never know it!
That aside, I don't think there is one single person in this city who isn't looking forward to the end of Tony Villar's Reign of Terror!!!
We are at the half way mark now...and I am breathing easier!

Just finish re-reading the "MOLDY GREEN SHEET" article by Tony Castro. Is it me, or did Castro take a shot at "WWG" ?

Envy, the greatest sin of all...
Villaraigosa is beyond a media whore. Sam Simon Foundation was going around doing events to get donations to buy a spaymobile. They asked then councilman Villaraigosa to help them raise money for "a spaymobile for LA." He would do photo ops for them at their events. He did it for publicity for himself, not really to help get a City spaymobile.
Later he finds out that Sam Simon used him for the photo ops. The money went to pay for a spaymobile owned by Sam Simon, not the City. Sam Simon then charged the City to use his spaymobile to spay and neuter pets in LA. I think they got $80 per surgery at 5000 to 7000 a year. Do the math.
Antonio was fuming mad yelling and screaming. He told his staff "Why didn't you tell me it was for his spaymobile?!?! I thought it was for the City!!!! And now we are paying them to use their spaymobile that they bought using me?!?! They dragged me around like a trained monkey!!!! They made a fool of me!!!!"
No, Antonio, you made a fool of yourself. Antonio did it for his own publicity, not to help buy the City a spaymobile. That spaymobile is not even doing surgeries for the City anymore because the GM of Animal Services couldn't negotiate to get them to stay. Now we just have one spaymobile. We lost 5000-7000 surgeries a year. He could have saved thousands of lives. Instead he's just refusing animals at the shelters in order to make his numbers look good.
Antonio appointed this loser. He likes him because they're both charismatic liars. They tell anyone whatever they want to hear. The truth doesn't matter. They promise the world and deliver nothing, nada.
Well, his GM is about to make a fool of him. Boks is bragging that Antonio will do anything for him. He has him "wrapped around his little finger." That soon many change.
More and more...the truth comes out about this ruthless, egomaniacal monster created by Parke-Skelton!!!
It's no coincidence that his wife filed for divorce in the wake of Paris Hilton's controversial release from jail.
Antonio shtupped Paris.
That's the whole subtext for that front-page photo in the Daily News.
Now that the media is finally reporting on his personal life why aren't they reporting his lack of accomplishments. He's the mayor of the 2nd largest city in the nation and yet has done nothing just like clowncil. Antonio has been quiet as to what his next big vision will be. Could his handlers possibly have gotten the balls to tell him he's made a complete fool out of himself all these months and better start working on the city's problems? Doubt if he'll listen. He's going to be campaigning now for Hillary.
Did he really do Paris?
No one has mentioned what Arnold said to a group of Hispanic journalists. I think its great that he had the guts to say they need to stop watching spanish language television and learn how to speak English. horray for him telling the very audience that needed to hear it. Now if only Antonio had the guts to do anything close to that.

Antonio (Little Tonito) will fall flat on his face and damage his hook nose when he runs for Governator of California.
Women will remember he dumped his wife because she was not good in bed. Then the female voters will cast their vote to another poliTICian.
Poor tonito he will then have get a real job like the rest of the Angelinos who are tired of seeing him everywhere and does jack for our city.

Hey 6:38 p.m., it would be useful if you got even one fact right. Sam Simon is a rich guy who bought his own spaymobile and Councilman AV didn't help him raise the bucks to do it. Chalk that up to Bart Simpson! AV was just promoting spay/neuter by visiting the spaymobile in the field where it was providing free services. Some fundraiser!
And the current Animal GM didn't do the contract with Simon to take over the City's spay/neuter, his predecessor did, and got a bum deal in the process. The current Animal GM was left to undo the contract at the urging of some of the same people who are now his biggest critics, which he did. The only reason the City lost those spay/neuter surgeries was because Simon had over-promised to get the contract and couldn't deliver on the promise.
Don't know what AV told his staff, but since you got the other stuff wrong, it's safe to assume you made that crap up too.

Sure seems Antonio didn't realize all the bad publicity he would get by coming out and making a statement then like an idiot having a press conf. using his kids out of wedlock for photo op. This is going to follow him and when he campaigns for Hillary especially in front of a group of Latinas he better watch out. He will get yelled at and booed.
5:21 You are not quite correct. Sam Simon made most of the contributions to his own Foundation but not all. Antonio was upset when he found out that the City is paying Sam Simon to spay and neuter LA pets. He was under the impression that they were doing it for free as a charity.
Yes, Stuckey made a bad agreement with Sam Simon. Guss was the only person who wanted that agreement ended. Everyone else wanted Boks to just accept however many surgeries the spaymobile could do. A few thousand surgeries is better than none. Boks wasn't able to negotiate that.
Antonio said those things to his staff in front of members of the public. That is just about word for word what he said, especially the monkey quote
