Regarding people's private affiliations, personal beliefs and local/national desires: What ever they are, as an individual is fine.
However, when you become an elected official, you have to represent a wider constituency...one consitutency.
In radio, the best jobs are at the Top 40 stations. I may have been listening to Public Enemy and Led Zeppelin in my office, but I was programming Celine Dion and N'SYNC. In other words, I had to leave my personal taste out of it, and only by programming to/representing the widest range of listener/constituents do you get big ratings/get re-elected.

Relating to the issue that "ZD" walked into City Hall over, the mayor and his posse pissed me off...I barked a little louder than usual, for emphasis. It worked, because I got a response from CM's office, at least letting me know they are aware of the issue (even if the ruling doesn't go in favor of the law/constitution -- and I'm back "regular" ZD. (Don't carry grudges...I made my point, and time to carry on.)

I've always had my own site, this is the new version of zumadogg.com, a little more focused on politics and journalism than comedy, since that's the direction things have been going.
and in case you didn't notice...mayor sam does nothing but link to other blogs and sites.
as you know, a lot of info has been pouring in, and will continue to do so, so i created various other blogs to accommodate the avalanche of text (can't post all the long planning committee notices and NC minutes and long comments from people on the main mayor sam thread. so i had to create zumatimes.com just to be a portal for myself to access all the various threads on all my new blogs. AND, it's a research tool, with custom search boxes and stuff...so stop being a crybaby loser...mayor sam isn't...i work hard on this blog...i don't just post threads on my own blog and make mayor sam link to the story...i post everything here first. it's like the movie theater release....zumatimes isn't even Blockbuster...it's the cut-out bin at Rite Aid.
Dave Elliott is not the usual neighborhood crank who has been on the same street for 10, 20, 30 years yelling at the cars driving by. He comes out of nowhere and suddenly knows a lot of shit about a lot of things. Look beyond the dope addled wigger act and you will see an individual who can have substantive policy conversations. The guy doesn't even hide a couple decades long career in media and marketing working with Fortune 500 companies and top name entertainers.
Have a conversation with Dave Elliott and you realize how much of a fiction Zuma Dogg is just like CW McCall, Pee Wee Herman and other characters brought to real life by their creators.
