Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Monday
Behind the efforts to recall City Councilman Jack Weiss are constituents' anger over development issues in his district and his apparent disdain for citizens and his colleagues. However, as noted by Marc Haefele, recall supporters have a tough row to hoe. The last recall effort that actually made the ballot was a 1984 effort to remove controversial CD 14 Councilman Art Snyder which failed miserably at the polls. However, something Haefele didn't note is the tools available to recall supporters that did not exist in 1984 such as the internet, blogs, etc. Stay tuned.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says he is not running for President but he's making a trip to New Hampshire and planning appearances with Mayor Villaraigosa and Governor Schwarzenegger in California.
And finally, check out Zuma Dogg's new website. There's some great shadiness fighting tools and lots of other cool widgets.
