Let My People Go

Some residents in Westside Village want to be represented by the Palms Neighborhood Council. However the Mar Vista Community Council - of whose boundaries include the community of Westside Village - is refusing efforts by Palms to jointly study the issue.

In the meantime, members of the Mid-Town North Hollywood Neighborhood Council want to split into two panels but to date the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners have been able to figure out how to make the board's wishes come true.

Great! More public financing of petty neighborhood squabbles. Don't you just love those neighborhood councils. Just think of what we could do with the millions they waste each year. . . go back to being homeowner groups and pay your own way.

It would be nice to have a credit for that map, considering it took some effort for me to steal the background from another source and draw the lines on it.
