Please Keep Cathy Seipp and Family in Your Thoughts
We've learned via Martini Republic that blogger Cathy Seipp is very near losing her long battle with lung cancer. Having lost my own stepfather two years ago to this terminal illness, my thoughts go out to Catherine's daughter Maia Lazar who has been blogging about her mother's last days. Please keep Maia, Cathy and the rest of their family in your prayers over the next few days. Cathy is a multi-talented, prolific writer and blogger, her departure from the blogosphere and this world will be a significant loss. If you wish, you may make a donation to the American Cancer Society or assist in the rescue of stray cats and dogs, two of Cathy's favorite causes.

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen (removes hat and bows low with flourish and then places hat over heart):
The crew and I wish Ms. Seipp all the best in the hopes of a full recovery. Hang in there, brave lady. You have pirates on your side!

captn jack, I'm afraid she is terminal with maybe only a day or two left to live. Let us just wish her a peaceful and loving passing surrounded by her family.

L.A. Times is reporting her death on the Web edition. Sad to lose a person of her talents for the written word.
