RED SPOTS OPEN THREAD FOR FRIDAY

We at the Red Spot Institute would like to thank the ever busy MAYOR for the invitation to post the Open Thread for Friday. Taking his advise, We surf the local bloggersphere for relevant items of thought. Here we go......

Martini Republic is calling on "B" aka, "BITTER BERNIE PARKS" to at least to apologize to two constituents, who's names were added to the "B" ENEMY LIST.

LA Voices opines on Al Quida's "RON JEREMY'S" America Hit List. Los Angeles place third on his list. Look for the Mayor's Press Release on his plan to make L.A. Number one.

LA Observe, WWG "LIFE AND HIS TIMES" goes "GAGA" over the "LA ANTONIA TIMES" selection of Producer Brian Glazer to "GUEST EDIT" this Sundays "CURRENT" (CURRENTLY BIAS) section. What is all the fuss ? Must be a West L.A. thing.

Meanwhile, the LA Weekly, aka "THE WEEKLY OF RECORD" has two explosive articles. The "Z" man reports on the fledgling Recall movement against Councilman "WEISS ASS". The second article gets to the "DOG MEAT" of the Tennie Pierce case.

While thinking of the "CLOWNCIL ASS OF WEST L.A. The nerds at the premier NERD website in L.A. have all the specifics and numbers on what it would take to Recall the "FRANCES THE TALKING ASS" of West L.A.

The "CLOWNCIL 15" will be celebrating all things Irish and Iranian tomorrow. If you here something go BOOM!! You now know why.

Lastly, don't forget to partake in our "FIRST FRIDAY WEENIE ROAST". "LUCK TO THE IRISH IN YOU!!

PLEASE remove Hertzberg's ugly mug from the website. I cannot stand looking at him every single time I come here. It's enough to make me stop.

Someone else must agree with me?

Lose the Hertzberg picture. Support who you want, even the loser Hertzberg if you wish, but don't force him on us. Please?

From today's Daily News:

Cautionary tale
Weiss recall attempt ought to be a warning to all
Article Last Updated:03/15/2007 07:14:48 PM PDT
COUNCILMAN Jack Weiss would be wise not to dismiss the recall rumblings in his district that runs from the Westside to the San Fernando Valley.

Grouchy constituents like to bandy the idea about from time to time when they feel elected officials are ignoring them. But this is more than tough talk. Activist residents are starting to sound a lot like the pre-secession Vals.

Westside homeowners groups are launching a signature-gathering drive this weekend and raising money. And it's easy to imagine there are enough frustrated residents on both sides of the mountains to put up the money and effort needed to get 22,000 signatures.

That frustration with the council is shared across the city, but Weiss has made himself particularly vulnerable by putting his ambition for higher office - the city attorney's job - ahead of his constituents' concerns about the overdevelopment of the Westside.

Maybe it's unfair. But the fact that Weiss is under such an attack ought to be a cautionary tale about personal ambitions eclipsing civic duty. Los Angeles residents are used to being ignored by their elected officials, but not dismissed entirely.

Indeed, the reaction of the homeowners is a healthy sign of unhappy constituents forcing City Hall to pay attention.

If Weiss wanted to prove his merit as a politician who cares about the people, the best way he could do that is by spending his final two years doing the job for which he was elected - not running for higher office.

Latest from Antonio on presiential endorsments:
"I want to know what kind of person they are," Villaraigosa told Tina Daunt for her Cause Celebre spot in the Times' Calendar section. "I want to get a sense of their values, their vision, their character and convictions."
Too bad L.A. didn't have the same opportunity with Antonio. Maybe Hillary should hire Parke - if she hasn't already - to knit for her a nice suagrcoat, like he did for Antonio.

Whether corrupted or not Matt we all know all of them are. Just look how ridiculous the motions they pass in clowncil are. They're either paybacks, pay forwards, or plain dumb ass motions that don't make sense and are not in the best interest of the city. What the hell has Antonio, council done for the last two years?????

Thank god I'm not a politician. Yolanda hated Antonio and campaigned hard for Jim Hahn. Now she forgets all the crap she said about Antonio and kissing his ass. How do these people sleep at night? No integrity, no guts..

..Valley resident and Public Works Commissioner Yolanda Fuentes will head Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's San Fernando Valley office and serve as his point person on constituent services, the Mayor's Office announced Wednesday...Fuentes will work out of Van Nuys City Hall and be the mayor's senior official in the Valley.

This may not be directly related to Fridays open thread, but is sure does not fall into the 'Weenie Roast'~~~~ more like chicken slaughter.

I was informed by staff in ROSE HILLS that perhaps the local 'Tribe' was out doing sacrifices or rituals. (expressed to me as witchcraft.) I can not confirm that the outrage from the discussion of 'Academia' has taken on a whole new level of worship, but it is confirmed that over a half dozen chickens where found at a local park set up in a ritual manner with heads cut off for sacrifice. Candles had also been placed at the site and this brings serious concern. Fire is one potential concern, the 'witchcraft' was left unattended to avoid discovery of the bandits involved, that can possibly flair up the hills.

What is more of a concern is the act of leaving carcuses of animals around in a public park to express a certain belief, native ritual or freedom of expression that implies the right/privelige (criminal) act of any group.
Authorities have been made aware and may consider prohibiting the entering of this public loction. If you want more details get a hold of me.

For those of you feeling that you may be accused, that confirms your guilt. If you had no relation to this incident, then you have nothing to hide, OH YEA, ANONY'MOUSE', you are hiding. (oooopppss)

I HOPE THIS IS NOT RETALIATION, WHO KNOWS WHAT IS NEXT.

One has to wonder if Yolanda Fuentes had trouble getting along with Antonio's god mother for his kid who isCynthia Ruiz. Maybe that's why she's moving to the valley. Felipe Fuentes was in fact another Jim Hahn supporter now he to has turned. What's wrong with these people? Do they think people forget the horrible things they said about Antonio now they act as if they loved him the whole time?

That's typical of a Bosco Tech graduate - point fingers and accuse, with no proof. Hey moron, how is this related to ritual Aztec stuff from Academia. Chickens aren't native to this land thus the Aztecs could not sacrifice them. Now if it were human sacrfices, the that's anothet story. What a big pussy you are trying to connect this inicident with Acadmia. And I live in El Sereno, graduated from Wilson High and my I'll stick my anonymous foot right up your fucking ass. Why don't you look me up, I'm not hard to find.
