First off, Mayor Villaraigosa, City Councilman Jose Huizar, City Controller Laura Chick and officials from other cities served by the Los Angeles Unified School District will sign a letter requesting an independent audit of the district.Then, its off to appear on his live Univision weekly segment, at a reception for new Transportation Director Gloria Jeff and before the night is over he'll speak at the Liberty Hill Foundation's 30th anniversary Upton Sinclair Dinner.

Another political stunt by the mayor. All of this information already exists... And all of the small town mayors who appear are just there as props for the photo opp. Their cities will get screwed under the mayoral take over plan.

Chinese weather specialists used chemicals to engineer Beijing's heaviest rainfall of the year, helping to relieve drought and rinse dust from China's capital, the official Xinhua News Agency reported Friday.
Technicians with the Beijing Weather Modification Office fired seven rocket shells containing 163 cigarette-size sticks of silver iodide over the city's skies on Thursday, Xinhua said.
