Successful Results of the Mayor Daniel Blog
Mayor Sam, as well as Mayor Villaraigosa, now recognize that "the Ed Boks situation" is like a bad case of kennel cough.
Yesterday, I posted a complaint that Boks failed to post already-paid-for-and-delivered signs advising shelter drop-offs that the dog or cat they're leaving at the shelter could very likely be killed. Not euthanized, which is a mercy term, but killed. The shelter worker guaranteed, "99.9%," that the dog would be adopted.
Within hours, Jim Bickhart , the deputy mayor, or whatever his title is, ordered Boks to get going.
The passionate discussion on MayorSam/MayorDaniel forced Boks to work when he preferred to nap. City officials noticed all the activity on this 'blog.
And while silly schoolyard taunts don't move me (not even when I was a kid), Mayor Sam has chosen to shut down the comments section of this blog. Obviously, he recognizes that presenting these issues is critical.
And now that I successfully got Boks to wake up and do his job for at least one day (with prodding from Villaraigosa's boy), I pulled it down.
Mission I: Accomplished.
Of course, there's more to come...
