Antonio Will Stay In Town After All** (Well maybe not)
KFWB is reporting that Mayor Villaraigosa will not travel Monday to Dallas to meet with NFL officials as originally planned. Instead, he will stay in town while immigration protests are underway. However, Villaraigosa plans to stay in his office during the daytime protests, but may participate in an after hours protest.Its unclear as to when the Mayor will travel to the NFL meetings, if at all.
**UPDATE: A spokesman for the Mayor says that Villaraigosa is indeed going to be taking a commercial flight Monday to the NFL meetings in Dallas. However, they will not confirm what time the Mayor's flight is nor if he will attend the immigration protest scheduled for later in the day.

What have you ever accomplished in life to attempt to give advice to ILLEGALS.
Why do you hate?
Im white. An anglo. Firstly, our mayor is not hiding. He is on radio, tv, in the papers talking about immigration and the protests. As all of you know, this Mayor will talk to any media outlet and is always on the record. Hiding is NOT something this Mayor has ever done.
Secondly, it seems that this protest is about respect. respecting the immigrants ( legal and illegal) who came here for a better life, who work hard, and just want to be respected for that work. I dont think thats asking too much. That doesnt mean that illegal immigration is OK. Any country has to have some type of control over their borders. I just say;dont blame the immigrants for wanting a better life.
The target of protests really should be the Mexican government. The Govt has been so corrupt and ineffective for..ever. Thats why mexicans are streaming over the border. Why doesnt everyone, ( mexican immigrants, the US Govt) put pressure on Mexico to get their act together?
A little off topic, but the biggest news of the past weekend was the SNUB that Toilet Guy received at the WH CORRESPONDENTS' DINNER IN WASHINGTON, DC on Saturday nite.
It was broadcast live on CSPAN. All of the nation's top White House correspondents have an Annual Dinner designed to roast the current President. A very prestigious event! All the bigwigs attend.
The cameras were rolling as the distiguished guests arrived. And all of a sudden, Toilet Guy walks thru the revolving door of the hotel in Washington where the dinner was being held. HE STOPS TO LOOK AROUND FOR CAMERAS, AND AS HE PAUSES, THE REVOLVING DOOR SLAMS HIM IN THE ASS, AND HE GOES FLYING A FOOT OR SO. IT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!!
AFTER HE COMPOSES HIMSELF, HE CROSSES BOTH HANDS IN FRONT OF HIMSELF AND STANDS STILL WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO INTERVIEW HIM OR TAKE HIS PICTURE.
EVERYBODY I G N O R E D HIM!!!!!!!
I NEVER REALIZED HOW SHORT HE REALLY IS UNTIL HE STOOD IN THE LOBBY OF THIS HOTEL AND BECAME DWARFED BY ALL THE BIG WIGS!!!!
ALL OF THE ELITE GUESTS BROUGHT THEIR WIVES OR DATES, BUT TOILET GUY WAS ALONE. GUESS HE WAS TOO EMBARRASSED TO BRING CORRINA.
THE WASHINGTON ELITE TOTALLY SNUBBED TOILET GUY, AND I LAUGHED TIL I FELL DOWN. I HOPE SOME OF YOU GOT A CHANCE TON SEE IT!!!!!!
So now Mayor Taco didn't go to Dallas to try and get us a NFL team so he could whore in front of the TV media.

Shame, shame....Deputy Mayor Jaime de la Vega, the Mayor's spokesman for Mass Transit issues....drives a new HUMMER, (according to the LA Times). I guess what's good enough for the masses, isn't good enough for the Mayor's aide.
You know, for the amount of money that the Red Line to the Ocean will cost, you could buy every rider a new HUMMER too.
