The LA Times is reporting that Councilman Alex Padilla's Chief of Staff, Felipe Fuentes, was arrested on suspicion of battery Thursday night at a campaign office for Padilla's race for the 20th State Senate District Democratic nomination. Police report there was some time of dispute and an individual made a complaint against Fuentes. No comment from Padilla at this time.Want to heckle Rob "Meathead" Reiner as he tries to put his hands in your wallet again? Or perhaps you believe the economically wrong nonsense the washed up actor promotes with his questionable record on ballot measures. Either way, he's speaking to the West Valley Democartic Club on May 7th.
With the coming immigrant protests this Monday, a group of left leaning African American leaders have announced support for the protests.
38th Assembly District candidate Jim Alger has twin press releases over at Mayor Sam 2. In one, he declares victory in a recent debate, the other, the Alger campagin responds to personal attacks made on him and his family by supporters of his chief primary opponent, Lyn Shaw-Hilfenhaus.
State Senator Gloria Romero has announced she will close her legislative office on Monday, May 1st in observation of anti-immigration reform protests.
Where's Antonio? Not in LA. Today he was in Philadelphia at the Democratic Senate Annual Issues Conference Luncheon, then tonight off to Washington, D.C., for the White House Correspondents' Association dinner. Word is that he will not be in LA for the May 1st Immigration Protests, but in Texas meeting with officials of the Mexican government.

Bimbo Gloria Romero is nothing more then a media whore. The mayor, Mahony, LAUSD, unions and others are saying march after school and work. Reports are saying for all these illegals wanting to stay here the boycott is sending the wrong message and it will backfire. Funny now the Nation of Islam those radical idiots are jumping on the bandwagon saying they support the boycott. Again, they just want media attention
AV doesn't have to be in Dallas for the NFL meeting until Tuesday. People are now saying he wants to be out of LA just in case something bad happens he can't get blamed. This shows the true lack of leadership in our mayor. This is history in the making in his city and he decides to go hide out like a wimp.

Assistant General Manager of the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE) Lisa Sarno says what looked like purposeful exclusion of the group was a miscommunication between her office and LANCC.
However, the tensions are by no means history.
Following the news that DONE’s General Manager Greg Nelson would resign later this month, many involved in neighborhood councils have voiced concerns that mayoral interference would increase in their activities. Sarno, who will take over from Nelson at the end of April, is a longtime ally of Villaraigosa. Sarno announced LANCC wouldn’t participate in this year’s event and refused to explain the move, according to a report by City Watch.

Thank you Janice Hahn for the motion for neighborhood councils to have a voice in who will replace Greg Nelson. AV wanted none of them to have a say and simply pick his own person. Neighborhood Councils are pissed if Lisa Sarno is appointed General Manager. She knows nothing about the councils and doesn't know anything about working with people. City hall staffers can't stand her because she is arrogant and talks to them as if she's Antonio.

the felipe situation was nothing more that a verbal dispute escalating into a pushing match. The bitch of this all is that the other person felt reasonable to contact the PD. Forget Felipe, since we all know about him, who is the other person with little or no loyalty to work ethics. If he is into politics I would like to know more about the other person since he shows no loyalty to the campaign or to handle the situation in house like a campaign should be handled. I hope those of you out there do not hire this poor indivudual with lack of judgement for any camp. Lots of races comming up next year and the next, would hate to see him in my campaign.
