Hahn Now Ahead In Poll
May 7, 2005
Hahn & Villaraigosa in Tied Race for Mayor
Hahn for Mayor, May 6, 2005
www.JimHahn.org
The Hahn campaign received wonderful news this week
when a voter survey showed the mayoral race tied with
only a week-and-a-half remaining before election day.
The Tyson Organization, at the request of the
campaign, conducted a survey of 1,515 voters who
represent those who will turn out for the May 17
mayoral election. (A traditional polling firm usually
only talks to 300-400 voters.) There were two
questions asked in a blind script: Are you voting? Who
will you support?
Hahn 28.3 %
Villaraigosa 27.6 %
Undecided 44.1 %
For those who have decided, Mayor Hahn wins 50.7 % of
the vote while Mr. Villaraigosa wins only 49.3 %.
The news for Jim Hahn is extraordinary with momentum
clearly belonging to L.A.'s mayor. Only one month ago,
the L.A. Times commissioned a poll that claimed
Councilman Villaraigosa had an 18-point lead. No more.
Please join our growing movement to re-elect a mayor
who has made gutsy decisions and gotten real results.

Masturbation should not be allowed in public blogs.

No, just sexual assaults and deviant behavior.

Hahn's family has plenty of deviant behavior...that will not change this election, so get off of it...

Again, confirming Tony's deviant behavior. The one that should get off of "it or her" is Tony. DO you think that those Spanish commercials with Tony the Family man will resonate - the Latino community knows this guy. No matter how many signs Tony lovers tear down, people will vote thier conscious. What is that tally of eastside supporters - zero! Every Times bio on Tony just makes these lies all the more visible.

Wow, maybe SactoNighties is on to something here. What are his number, 52 - 48. A little more chinks in Tony's armor and you're there!
BTW, what does SactoNighties infer? Your answer might get you those 2 extra points.

VILLARAIGOSA LEADS IN SHOW OF HANDS AT LOCAL SENIOR CENTER!
is just as valid.
wow, jimmy is just barely ahead in a blind ID of his own previously ID'd supporters.
in case you didn't know, that's where these numbers came from.
they do get the creative spin award for the week, though.

Yeah, that Hahn "poll" was a crock. If it was published on Sunday, we could have called it "Desperate Campaign Workers."

Is it true that 81 percent of the likely AVD voters in this poll are also members of his 80(+++++) INVISIBLE neighborhood watch organizations in CD14.
(Who started the "MEAT-sturbation" on this blog, if not the Tony groupies???).

Yeah, yeah, a poll paid for by a TV station ADV just cranked close to $300,000 into for ads -- that was double-digits off in the primary is still being touted by Tony-tuggers as "valid" in some way, but THIS one must be suspect.
I know you have to be starry eyed to follow the myth of Villaraigosa off the cliff, but don't you groupies even get tempted to open your eyes and even "peek" at the real world once in awhile?

This poll is real. I feel it when I'm phone banking. My fellow AV phone bankers feel it too when the Valley (not the latino sections) are being phoned. Given the turn of the tide it was wise of Tony not to go to sacto for his previously planned fund raisers this past weekend. All you bloggers out there that are on the side lines rooting Tony to Victory Where the hell are you when we need you desperatly on the phone making calls for Tony. The truth is you all think we have it in the bag and don't come out and get off your fat asses to help. I bet I see you all at the party on May 17th. If we loose blame your lazy selves!!

Good try there, but you should know by now, ADV supporters are "talkers" like their boy Tony.
They don't actually DO anything, either...
("Rolling up sleeves" is just a euphemism for writing checks and taking meetings).

Hmmm, 1500 respondents to this poll... that about how many students each NE high school is overpopulated waiting for the Taylor Yard school to (never) open, thanks to ADV's buddy.
Priorities, priorities; here's a keen example:
(from L.A. Observed)
"Today's street theater: Villaraigosa tours potholes in Toluca Lake, while Hahn stands at San Fernando Road and Division Street to symbolically call on Villaraigosa donor Richard Meruelo to stop blocking a high school there.'
Front end re-alignments for SUVs in the Valley vs. even HIGHER dropout rates for minority youth in overcrowded PUBLIC schools in ADV's backyard.
Whose priorities are in order?
Who's using the "bully pulpit" to address problems with education?
Who's just attacking incumbent mayor on a petty pocketbook issue.
For the rest of this week,ADV will avoid his own district like the plague, and ONLY attack Hahn. He has stopped trying to defend his incompetence in City Council, and thinks it's unimportant that HE stole $300,000 in city salary, OR that his buddy stole a shot at a better high school education for 3,000+ Eastside kids.
I hope those same high school dropouts end up being the poorly paid night attendants on duty when YOU finally end up at the Socialist Old Folks home in a couple decades, ADV. THAT would finally be justice...

hey 10:36, nice try.
i'm sure all the Antonio supporters call him "tony" and root for him to lose.
you people are too stupid to even successfully fake a comment. wow.

Amazing the comments posted by the ADV lovers. They get all heated up like Antonio's temper when you post something they disagree with. Instead of posting intelligently and state why they oppose the Hahn poll they slander use crude language etc. We all know this is the group of mob mentality people that are supporting ADV. MEDIA should find out exactly who Mayor Sam is and why he finds it his duty to post such negative unconfirmed articles on this site for Antonio.

Sorry to combine two posts together, but it occurs to me that Hahn has a better chance of being Black than he has of being ahead in the polls.
Maybe we are all Stevie Wonder?

If I was handling the Hahn campaign I would make the following commercial with these scenes:
Scene 1: Very hardcore looking, multiple tattooed gang members harassing a family in the park. The police show up to try and do something to protect the family only to be stopped by AV who shows up in time to protect the gang members.
Scene 2: A sleazy, unshaven old man is observing some kids playing on the swings in the park. He pulls out a handful of candy and heads over to the kids. Next you see him walking away holding a little girls hand as she licks a candy sucker. A close up of the man's shirt reveals a button that reads "Vote For Antonio V. for mayor".
Scene 3: Group of L.A.P.D. uniformed officers are with Antonio shooting an endorsement commercial. The director yells, cut! That's a wrap! As the officers walk away the camera zooms in on the back of the officers collars to reveal "Acme Costume Rentals" as these are not real L.A.P.D. officers but non-union actors.
Cut to Mayor Hahn shooting his commercial with the real L.A.P.D. officers endorsing him.
These three commercial scenes will have a tremendous impact. The commercials about Antonio taking Miami money are burnt out and nobody cares anymore. The voters know ALL politicians take questionable campaign contributions and only give it back when they are caught like AV just did. I suggest the Hahn campaign concentrate on getting some new
hard hitting commercials that will resonate with the
undecideds otherwise he and all on his staff are going to be looking for work come next Wednesday morning
