Mayor Sam Says Hello!

Greetings Tinhorns,

I've managed a few moments to say hello to all my fans and once again thank Chief Parker for a job well done.

I'm going to be busy until at least after the election, so you won't hear much from me. I even had to apply for an absentee ballot this year. Shame, I'm going to miss my local poll workers.

Besides being busy, this damn election has me bored to tears. Can't we just put Jim Hahn out of his misery and have the election today? Maybe we need to have Randall Terry, Sean Hannity and the Republican Senate leadership come out here and maintain a vigil for the Mayor. Talk about a slow death!

I don't share the Chief's enthusiasm for Tony Villar, but he is the superior of the two candidates and I will vote for him. But to be honest, I really don't have much more to say about the election.

When its over, I'm looking forward to having all of you play on the freeway and gargle with razor blades as I bring over some new topics and new ideas. I'm also planning on a major upgrade of the site at some point.

Blog away dum, dums. And welcome to our new CD14 guests. Play nice.

Love,
Sam Yorty
37th Mayor, City of Los Angeles

About time you came back for a visit Mayor Sam!

Nahhhh I think you should write in Sam Yorty for Mayor because all of the candidates stink.

Looking forward to your return after the election. With the appointment of new staffers and commissioners it should be fun.

OK, OK, you have been missed.

I quite agree; we all are tired of the shouting and nothing new is happening.

But, Carrick is no fool, so if it is down and dirty and available, or even imaginable, we should expect it to happen.

Too bad Jimmy has to end his career in public life with such an abrupt stop. Such are the risks of public service

Sic transit gloria.

After last night's debate Mayor Sam how could you be that naive? All the media is giving the win to Hahn. He has a much better record. Antonio couldn't even say what his accomplishments are in 2 yrs as councilman. Hahn's momentum is on the up and Antonio looked tired today. This is exactly how ADV lost it in 2001. He's being a crybaby again. He had the nerve to say this to press today, "When you don't have a record to speak of you retreat to smear." What an asshole! Its ok for him to attack but like a school boy he cries to his Ace and Parke when he gets picked on. Grow up and be a man.

What, MAYOR SAM... you're not working the rented-out Hertzberg phone banks to try and help Chief Parker place enough bogus calls to the Hollenbeck LAPD division to prove ADV's 80 new INVISIBLE Neighborhood watches exist?

HA!

Parker thinks - after it's been PROVEN they're bogus when the REAL Tony and staff say it --that we're going to believe his anonymous blogger self has found REAL proof.

SURE, and please let us know the names of those other shooters on the grassy knoll while your at it!

Someone needs to start a vigil for this Blog. It's become the Villaraigosa campaign site annex, less censorship, of course.

The biggest loser today was Jack Weiss. He showed absolutely NO CLASS by showing up to Hahn's State of City address and taking notes. What a lame ass!! No wonder why no one likes him. Guess he had to tell Antonio how to respond in time. Everyone was criticizing him for being there. He really thinks Antonio is going to keep his promise to him when behind his back ADV has promised to others the same thing. WAKE UP JACK ASS

at least Jack Weiss has balls to stand up for his candidate. the weenies that are giving their lukewarm support for Hahn just sit back in silence. does anyone really think that Greg Smith believes in the loser he is supporting for mayor?

Behind the scenes Jack Weiss is telling anyone who will listen that Antonio is an out of control hot head and he's worried. If Greg Smith came out to endorse Hahn and he's not supporting him then who do you think looks like the idiot!

Jack's star is firmly hitched to AV's wagon.

If Antonio wins, look for Jack to run for City Attorney, after Rocky either wins AG or is termed out of City Attorney. That is either 2 or 4 years.

Jack calling Antonio a hothead is makes no sense at all. I don't believe a word of it. He is no fool.

Jimmy is treading water, lucky to still be afloat. All it will take is for Doug Dowie to be indicted (coming soon at you local Grand Jury) and he will be lower than whale shit.

Jack Weiss is human and talks when he doesn't think others are listening. Trust me he's saying Antonio is a hot head. Sure doesn't sound like Hahn is treading water in the media today. they had Hahn skipping after his State of the City address. Great speech. Puts ADV to shame. Antonio can't even say a sentence without stumbling or looking for cue cards

"All it will take is for Doug Dowie to be indicted..."

Doug Dowie, the guy who "picked" the city's pocket, the ex-Daily News bigwig who is suing HIS bosses, because he got fired for "just following their orders."

Someone on the Hahn-hating varsity squad is going to have to decide who's telling the truth here, so the spin doesn't do them in. Did Jim Hahn REALLY say to F-H "please pick the city's pocket" - or even just look away while -- or did Dowie's bosses in St. Louis tell hime to do that, as HE'S already telling people and going to testify in order to plea bargain out of it all. He's also going to say there was NO one at city in on it or even aware.

And then, he's going to detail the names of ALL the other governmental entities that ALSO got taken for a ride, in ways no municipal number-cruncher could ever have figured out (without sitting in every F-H flack's office with a stopwatch and journal).

The very BEST thing that could happen to Hahn's campaign right now is to have one of the thieves at F-H like Dowie REALLY get indicted before May 17, pointing fingers at the REAL dirtbags in their system and the universal crookedness of PR and other pro service firms' billing practices - to show that they ALL steal.

Hard to claim "corruption" when the DWP ends up being just one of dozens of clients they took for a ride over the last 10 years (and that's coming from someone INSIDE F-H for several years of it). Me! I saw bills that couldn't have been even close to legit, questioned a fews, and was told to mind my own business. Too long ago to be of use to this investigation, but definitely when Dowie's dirty deeds were geting up to speed.

PRAY for indictments, Jimmy, and then help nail their little Midwest peckers to the hardwood floors.

All you ADV lovers are saying the Vignali case is too old. Tell that to the media. They've been reporting it since last week. I'm sure the reporters monitoring this blog will now go for the story of Vignali family owning business right in the heart of ADV country on Figuerora. Hope they do their homework and find out that ADV did in fact make that phone call to state prosecutor. What's that called, oh yeah, obstruction of justice.

Why not, he's been obstructing everything else in the district... have to wait for his prima donna presence to blow noses publicly, because HE's runnning for mayor, so CD14 sits in limbo of 10-15 live projects, until he's ready to have a photo op.

If he could sell it, his middle name would be "Obstruction."

(Some activists in CD 14 have started calling his staffers, "those dam CD14 field deputies"). It's not a cuss word - or because they're "busy little beavers" - it's just that they've dammed up everything that was working in the district two years ago. Nothing flows anymore (expect campaign donations).
