Afternoon Rumors

For your enjoyment:

Democratic insiders are attempting to get Richard Alarcon to resign his State Assembly seat now and now wait until April when his Clowncil victory vote is certified and he can take seat #1 in the Horseshoe. The rationale behind this is that if Alarcon resigns now, the timing is in place for Arnold to call a special election for May instead of July to fill the Assembly seat. Democratic leaders want to elect an Alarcon friendly Democrat to the post so that they may have their vote in time for the budget. However, Alarcon wants to hedge his bets, wait for the vote count to be certified (and more importantly any potential success David Hernandez's Measure R court case may have by then) and not miss any paychecks. Stay tuned.

More Clowncil ghosts courtesy of Measure R: In addition to the aformentioned Alarcon, and a potential Laura Chick run for CD5, we are now hearing that former City Councilwoman Cindy Miscicowski is planning a run in 09 against her 11th District successor, Bill Rosendahl. Any idea when Nate Holden is going to come back?

Speaking of Laura Chick, her staff is denying the latest rumor that has the City Controller returning to the San Fernando Valley to run against Lloyd "The Bachelor" Levine Chief of Staff Stuart Waldman in the Democratic primary for AD40. To this old, dead, Republican mayor, its ludicrous that anyone would even think of challenging Stuart. He's got the money, endorsements and the resume. More importantly, he's worked tiredlessly for the San Fernando Valley for over a decade and has a high profile in the community. This old, dead, Republican Mayor will be supporting Stuart in 2008 (more on that later).

Speculation is that former San Fernando Mayor and 39th District Assemblywoman Cindy Montanez is eyeing a run for the City Council seat of Wendy Greuel, should Greuel be elected City Controller in 2009.

Here's a rumor for you to think about. The buzz on the street is that when Richard Meurelo is looking to the Mayor and the City Council to help him avoid a criminal conviction but that the Mayor has washed his hands of him. So now Muerelo is looking to his friends in the State Assembly and State Senate (Romero, Cedillo, DeLeon and Alarcon) to get a criminal conviction pardoned by the Governor. Word also has it that the first to be deposed is....the Mayor.

Any truth to this one?

Sam,

That no-heart, defeated, over-his-head, promise-the-sky-and-deliver-nothing, kick-the-little-old-ladies-out-onto-the-street, phony, Councildouchebag Bill Rosendoh! will not be running for re-election. He has already defeated himself, and cannot wait for his term to end, now that he knows he doesn't have what it takes to be anything more than a threat to his districts public safety. I think he actually is petitioning for his OWN re-call campagin. (Rosendoh! is actually jealous of Jackass Weiss' re-call campaign.)

Secondly Sam, you forgot to spell Alarcon's name like this: AlarCON. That way it is more representative of the no-integrity, girlfriend and mistress payroll check cutting, merry-go-round jumping, let's make the Valley lose the Valley fair-cause-I'm-a-greedy-money-grubbing-no-talent-take-the-money-and-run-80's-has-been, Villaraigosa tenticle.

But are you trying to say the forementioned non-leader may consider NOT serving his two year Council term -- after all -- when it is finally announced that the shady; unconstitutional; intentionally-deceiveing-and-duciplitous; leauge-of-dumbass-voters-Prop. R has been over turned the Tony Manero wannabe will stay in the Assembly, rather than serve the two years he will still be able to serve? If he chooses to stay in the assmbley, rather than serve the two years he just fought to win -- I think someone better fly to Iraq to go and get the noose they used to hang Sadam -- because there will be enough public outrage to justify a measure to bring back public hangings.

HEY DouchbagaCON -- YOU ARE RESIGNING FROM YOUR ASSEMBLY SEAT VERY SOON -- AND YOU ARE SERVING YOUR TWO YEAR TERM -- NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME OF PROP. R -- AND IF IT IS NOT OVERTURNED, THEN YOU CAN SERVE LONGER. BUT ZD IS HERE TO TELL YOU DICK AlarCON --- ZD SAYS YOU WILL BE RESIGNING YOUR TIRED, SHADY ASSEMBLY SEAT AND SIT THERE AND TAKE TWO YEARS OF ZUMA DOGG BERATING, if you know what's good for you. Cause I heard a rumor from Sacramento -- if you don't resign in a timely fashion, your fate WILL almost be as miserable as two years of Zuma Dogg. So take your foot out of your mouth and step down from the ASSembly, NOW. You burnt your political assembly future, anyway -- as Fabian "Nucklehead" Nunez WILL NEVER appoint your ass Speaker, no matter how far your nose is up Antonio's rectal cavity.

What a musical chair cesspool. Sad thing is no matter which mediocre clowncil or assembly member wins, the city will continue to deteriorate into the third world. Gangs, bad public schools, bumpy roads, terrible traffic, orange sellers on street corners, and rich elites with private security living behind walls in Brentwood.

Quite the rumor mill tonight, boys!

Alarcon ends up doing whatever the leadership pressures him to do on this one. Measure R will not be decided in time for him to hedge.

As for his collecting a paycheck, he is creative. He can find ways (whether they be girlfriends or mistresses) to siphon living expenses from his campaign coffers. (Just ask Howard Berman who hasn't had a serious campaign in years, but who pays his brother huge dough in "consulting fees" every year).

Mr. Waldman is the one to beat if the status quo remains. Chick would be a worthy opponent, by virtue of Name ID, fundraising ability, and the fact most Demo primary voters are like me and Laura Chick: female.

But Chick needs all three to win. Just being female isn't enough.

Montanez in Greuel's seat? Nah. We Valleyites know there are other candidates who are better fits for the district. One I know of has a huge fundraising ability, the capability to self-fund, is charming and has Valley cred as a former staffer.

Montanez just brings musical chairs and City of San Fernando baggage. You can't blow your way to the top.

This rumor mill post failed to mention how Assembly and Senate term limits being messed with affects this analysis. There will be some tough decisions to make.

Will Kuehl run again?

Will Levine run again?

How does Jack Weiss fit in the equation?

Term limits aren't going anywhere.

It'll be on the ballot, in Feb, along with the presidential primary.

Voters don't want to get rid of term limits. Fabian was suckered on this one by the Governator.

Cindy Montanez has ties to Galpin Ford? As does Greuel, and among many others, Richard Leynor who is now the new APNVPC Prez.

Leynor was a secessionist and UCC Prez who is a financier and supporter of the Economic Alliance and Vision 2020.

What a surprise!

Constitutent server who has obviously gotten her butt kicked by Cindy before or one of her friends did, must have someone out there she wants to blow. Go do it and quit projecting it on Cindy. She was a fine councilwoman, mayor and assemblywoman and we would be so lucky if she would replace that business woman disguised as a progressive, Wendy Greuel.

Cindy, you can do it. Let constituent server so the sex acts. You just stick to what you know - politics.

Oh yeah... Cindy in CD 2. Excellent. That will blow that stupid freaking worthless toady of the mayor', Galatzan's plans.

I hope Jon Lauritzen beats the crap out of her and then Cindy runs in CD 2 and she still gets beat. That will teach the little nobody who has never been seen around the city of la before a lesson she needs to learn. She can't win an election on her husband's name. She should stay home and be a mommy like most good women would.
