Zine, the guy who admittedly has intimate relationships with lobbyists, is going to run and be the next controller?
Only good things can come from this.
If Zine is the next controller, Alarcon is the next city attorney.
good info. Talk about being a complete hypocrite. I noticed the story of John Perez and Vernon was buried in the paper. Since the Mayor is a gangster it shouldn't surprise anyone he's brought the gangsters into city hall. There wasn't a fair competition in bidding for the inside cafe. KB Home millionaire Bruce Karatz had been convicted of felony charges related to the manipulation of executive stock options helped Homeboy get funding. Another crook. I wish just 1 reporter had the guts to tell people of Los Angeles the money Homeboy raises is to help the gangsters stay out of jail and helps them with lawyers.
Councilman Cardenas today announced his plans to run for Congress in a district newly created by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission. The seat is in the northeast San Fernando Valley.
HE'S CRAZY. HE'S ONE OF THE MOST INCOMPETENT GANGSTERS IN CITY HALL. REmember all the contracts he gave his sister and he had a recreation center named after his parents for doing nothing but giving birth to 11 kids. This has to be a joke

Speaking of nepotism, what about Don Knabe's son Matt working with Englander and lobbying his father?
Supervisor Knabe has now intervened into two separate large contracts (one for the MTA Lobbyist in Washington D.C. and now one for Motorola challenging Raytheon contract for a crisis communication system).
In addition, his son Matt walks around the Board of Supervisors like he is still a deputy, going up to the horseshoe and talking with all the other decision makers.
What is the D.A.'s Public Integrity Unit supposed to do, when one of the people setting their budget needs to be investigated?
Is this a matter for The Attorney General or The FBI?
Why doesn't Mayor Sam write about this??
6:44 going bank a bit more than a year, I had said that a new "latino" seat was going to be created in the valley, leaving Berman and Sherman at odds, more so than before.
Other latinos will step up for this seat.
Padilla has long been rumored as the next latino congressman.

Having Mitch Englander inside City Hall will go nicely with the other crooks already there. His uncle Harvey is the biggest lobbysist in the city. Watch for lil Mitch to start voting on motions Uncle Harvey tells him to. Mitch is nothing more then a high paid lapdog to Uncle Harvey.
Whoever wrote that about Mitch, doesn't know him.
he and Harvey are on different planets. Look for him to vote AGAINST harvey and crew more than he votes with him...
Another smarter Council member should run for controller. Tom? Paul? or Paul? even Parks but not Zine.
I think we need some outside help, anyone from the council would be a disservice to the city.
