Friday Free for All

You may remember a few years ago when we reported on KTTV reports that Councilwoman Janice Hahn funded active gang members with funds that were meant for gang suppression.  Now that Hahn is running for Congress, her opponents want you to remember that.

Betty Pleasant is having another cow about Councilman Bernard Parks. You may remember that Betty is a "scribe" for a local paper that makes money by selling legally required ads to business. Betty is upset that business people in the Valley are helping Parks pay off his campaign debt.  That might be because Parks is one of a few members who show some sympathy to business.

Citizen panels will work to draw the lines for School Board, City Council and County Supervisor districts but in the end the electeds will still have the final say.

Is it true that the FBI is all over City Hall or Departments of City Hall?

Obama's weekly job figures:

BAD AGAIN!

Take that, Joe B, and your lefty, Socialist pezzident!

Obama couldn't run an ice cream parlor, let alone the biggest country in the world.

CM Parks is finally showing some strength and willingness to stand up to the business as usual brigade. He totally bitch-slapped Trutnaich last week, suggesting that the council takes away civil jurisdiction from Trutanich. The recent spate of trial losses and a conflict of interest in dealings with labor unions appears to be the reason. No wonder Betty UnPleasant is having a cow.

I get really tired of reading the taunts of the moron who cannot handle the results of the 2008 Presidential election. Mr. Obama is President.

We do not live in the same economic times that once existed. Turning this economy around after the massive financial failures and bailouts of the banks is not an easy task.

Umm, and George Bush/Dick "The Hammer" Cheney, could not find Osama Bin Laden despite all of their crowing about it.

Our President has provided a pretty steady hand during very tough times. All Presidents could have done things differently in hind sight.

We all hope economic growth will be steady and job growth will follow. Bush/Cheney spooked the business community and only in time will job recover -- but when they do, they should be on a sounder footing than the real estate fantasy bubble we just barely survived.

How come there is no mention on this blog of the multiple investigations into city hall? Seems strange given the history of this blog. You've got to be holding back on purpose. It can't be that you are unaware. Why?

Yeah, 8:46 P.M. You'd think that all this criticism of the way City Hall does business would lead to some traction in this blog. This FBI news needs to be front and center with all available resources brought to bear. If this site advocates change at City Hall, then they should be all over this one.

YES YES YES FEDS ARE INSIDE CITY HALL. They are digging deep into Housing and those bribes from Building inspectors. I hope they find the connection to Mayor

How interesting that the gangster Mayor fired all his Housing commissioners yesterday and replaced them with attorneys.
Villaraigosa announced the appointment of four new commissioners to the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) Board of Commissioners: Isabel Ayala, Kimberly Freeman, Dennis Hernandez, and Mitchell Kamin.

Freeman is Pr guy for Gas co.
Hernandez is attorney
Kamin is attorney
Ayala is resident of Ramona Gardens

I thought public housing was intended for transitional purposes. To help out those in need. How can Ayala be a resident of Ramona Gardens since 1961 - is she an invalid. Whatever she is, she is now Villar's puppet. Tony won't hang on for 2 more years without an indictment. Remember all that stuff that Skelton said about Hahn? Karma is a mother-effer.

Bernard Parks is a complete moron. He ran the LAPD like shit, and now he's taken his bitterness out on the rest of the city.

He's the chair of the Budget/finance committee and the city is practically bankrupt.

When does he become accountable for this mess?

For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone would want to be a city commisioner under this administration other than that they are as corrupt as the Mayor & hope to cash in. Either way, I've no respect for these scoundrels.

For those investigating Stoddard's sons, take a look at Villar's daughters and sister (Debra) - quite some salaries for people without college degrees.

This is so true. There are a few good commissioners who really know their stuff in the subject area to which they have been appointed. Then there are some of the absolute losers appointed by the Mayor. Many of these commissioners just want something for their resume but they don't shit from shinola about the commission on which they serve.

The Planning Commissions are the worst. Real estate whores and pimps who do not give a rats ass about the community in which they live. They'd rubberstamp a ham sandwich if the Mayor's office wanted it for a developer.
