This blog has chronicled for sometime the controversy around the Autry National Center's takeover of the Southwest Musuem. Now it appears the matter could lose a significant grant for the Autry.
The City of Los Angeles made a big stink over Arizona's immigration reform law by enacting a "boycott" of the Grand Canyon State. One year later the boycott has had minimal impact, the City continues to do business with Arizona based firms and has done nothing about implementing the boycott. In the meantime, the US Supreme Court has upheld Arizona's law which severely punishes businesses who hire illegal aliens.
I guess if you're a victicrat you really haven't made it until you have a "heritage month" all your own. Gays and Lesbians got just that last week from the City of Los Angeles deeming June as "Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Trangendered" month here. Okay, fine. Not sure we needed however to hear the story about CMs Bill Rosendahl and Dennis Zine riding together on a motorcycle. Seriously, isn't there work to be done in the City? Actually the surprising thing is the Clowncil is just now getting around to a month for teh gheys.
