Victory Party in Kagel Canyon/ CEQA is Our Friend
CEQA, glad to meet ya! |
The Community Alliance for Open Space (CAFOS) threw a victory pot luck party at Dexter Park today to celebrate their recent court victory against the City of Los Angeles. Richard Alarcon's ill conceived plan for a truck driving school in the middle of Lopez Canyon Open Space was essentially destroyed in Superior Court a few weeks ago. Today was a day for friends, including these dedicated activists (look closely for some familiar faces), to finally relax, eat, and enjoy good company.

Is that land use attorney Daniel Wright on the back row? It sure looks like him.
You can bet Alarcon will show up and say he was with this group the whole time. That is what he did when he initially opposed an oil pipeline through East L.A. then he got bought out and changed his tune. And you wonder why Latinos are drifting towards with Republicans as the L.A. Times states today. With Democrats like Villar, Alarcon, Huizar, Cardenas - what choice do we have?
Antonovich and Krekorian both had representatives at the victory party.
Did anyone from the "peoples'" attorney office attend?
How much of your donors' money did you waste on making those giant powerpoints?
