Team Villar's Education Machine takes major hit in LAUSD District Five Election defeat
Luis "Mini Monica" Sanchez will not join boss Monica Garcia on the LAUSD's School Board.
First, the final results in the LAUSD District Five Runoff as posted by the City of Los Angeles City Clerk.
** BENNETT KAYSER 10,741 51.44%
LUIS SANCHEZ 10,139 48.56%
KAYSER WINS!!, KAYSER WINS!!
Yes its true, despite $1,522,138.10 in positive independent expenditures (from the likes of AEG, Eli Broad and others), $266,515.00 in contributions (from construction companies and labor unions), and numerous "press releases" from "LA Antonia Education Times" Scribe Jason Song, Bennett Kayser with UTLA help, has beaten the "Team Villar/Broad/Huizar/Garcia Education Machine".
Activists who banded together to beat back Mayor Villar's unconstitutional AB 1381 only to see the mayor's big money education backers buy thenselves (and enrich themselves one construction contracts ) the majority of seats on the LAUSD School Board, are rejoicing in Kayser's victory.
But lets state clearly that this victory is no mandate for continuing UTLA's policies and efforts to indoctrinate, not educate children within LAUSD. This victory is a slapback at the Villar Machine that has no moral compass. Make no mistake, Team Villar's true motives in joining LAUSD to the City of Los Angeles was controlling the budgets and doling out contracts to the exclusive few. And if Johnny or Juanita better their respective math skills by adding up the contracts, then call a press conference to take credit for rising math scores.
Again, congrats to Kayser for his victory against the machine, but beware of becoming too beholden to a dysfunctional unionize indoctrination machine.

This only shows the reported expenditures, the mayor and his allies dropped almost $3,300,000 on this race or over $300 per vote!
Meg Whitman was skewered for spending $48 per vote.

I have never received as many flyers in any election period. It was a total barrage. I just threw them directly into the recycling bin and voted for anyone by the pimps and hos endorsed by Villaraigosa.

This election should go in the history books and the media should make a great big deal about this. I think this is absolutely unprecedented in a local race that someone that spent so much more than their competitor lost. He was endorsed by just about every everyone as well. How come Jason Song's articles never mention how much was spent by the losing candidate?

Hey Reed Spit, Huizar makes motion to 245 and exert control over the RAP Commission on Autry/Southwest.
HA!
Now if only YOU could exert some control over yer PATHOLOGICAL hatred of Huizar to start giving something CLOSE to a balanced profile of his activities -- who knows, there might be hope for you, YET!

It's not unprecedented. It happened in the 90's when the "Latino political power establishment" - if it can be called that, supported Lucia Rivera. She won the primary and then got her ass handed to her in the general by David Tokosfky. This is what happens when you get arrogant false prophets with Villar as their leader. When Tony loses in his own back yard despite having all the endorsements and money, his time is up.
Parke must really be losing sleep over this. First Hahn defeats Bowen and now Sanchez. I guess that Huizar fiasco really took its' toll.

All the Latino votes for the taking and the Villar - Garcia - Huizar couldn't pull a winner, despite spending 3.3 million. What an embarassment!

Red Spot, I know you're intellectually challenged, but there is nothing "MINI" about Monica Garcia.

Huizar made the motion 245 because he did not have another alternative. It would have showed Jackie Autry owns him.

Huizar is still in Jackie Autry's pocket and the Friends of Southwest Museum better be ready to start the recall petitions if he starts making excuses how he just cannot get Autry to compromise.
Autry can be brought to the table if the City Council shows some backbone to stand up to the Autry's lies and deceit.

Another election, another "Latino seat" lost at the hands of Park Skelton. Although the first four he was on the winning side (Goldberg, Chu, Chu again, Eng), this seat went to a non-Latino due to incompetence. Some legacy for Villar's, Huizar's, Reyes' and Solis' consultant.

This is great news. The mayor should stick to city business. He's fucking up. He has brought too much political strife to LAUSD. He doesn't even know what the problems are. He just sees the $$$! Ha Ha Ha to Broad and company!
