Having just read Trujillo's statement at the City Maven, I see there was no apology from him.

This is the best press money can't buy. This story now has hit all the blogs and no matter how badly Team Huizar wants to spin it, too many constituents who were not in the race sure got on board now. Huizar is afraid of the media now because they'll ask him how much he knew and if he says he didn't know this guy was out of control he still looks like an idiot.

The other thing Nixon was best know for was his hunker in the bunker to avoid criticism mentaility.
Kinda like (well, a LOT like), Mayor Sam's suddenly going nutso with the "delete comments" button.
I guess that makes Rid Sput - Checkers?

So, will Rudy make a pledge to create an AFZ zone in his new Council Office.
That's an "Alatorre Free Zone".

In 2003 Parke Skelton had Antonio Villaraigosa play VICTIM to the political mailers sent out by Pacheco supporters and everyone had no problem with that display.
Today, the candidate against Parke Skelton's client, plays the same card and he (plus you) mock Martinez.
This is why nobody likes politics because everybody plays games and nobody talks about the real issues.

I agree with you, Rudy shouldn't be afraid for himself. You put your name on the ballot and you are going to be some wing nuts problem.
Martinez did the right thing reporting this to the LAPD since there is a potential that other people can get hurt. Don't forget, in Tucson, volunteers and attendees got hurt, too.

Thankfully, for the transparency, journalists, and district attorneys, people like this are always putting stuff like this in writing.
Imagine what they could get away with if they were more careful.

Give it a REST, Nick.
You lost.
And your new puppet's gonna lose to!
Gee whiz. FOUR major campaign losses for additional office in L.A. (D.A., plus two more tries at council), and do you really think people are buying it that you were dirty-tricked out of office?
That's just way too many "dog at my homework" excuses for most people to swallow.
Take responsibility for you own failures, and grow up.

Exactly how many people, in your version of "history" have suffered physical harm from "political bullets" is that?
Do they also bleed from the "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" when they read Hamlet, or attend the play?
I just really need to know how silly this is going to get, because I wanted to "slice through" some of this bullshit, as long as no one's going to come crying later that their cuts got infected.

Why are you going after Pacheco.
The post simply said Martinez is playing victim just like Villaraigosa and it is ironic that Skelton (and a Huizar supporter) is attacking him for doing what Skelton told AV to do in 2003.
By the way, what do you mean he should grow up? What is he saying or doing that is immature?
He lost 3 elections and in two elections Skelton did smear him without any facts of corruption but that's what CD 14 politics is known for since Pacheco killed Griego with his own attack mailers in 1999.
Also, what should Pacheco give a rest?
Right now it's tough to decide who is better at the victim card, RM or AV??
.?

Princeton educated? Yeah right! From an intellectual point of view, Huizar is obviously from a different type thread in society. His entourage of campaign supporters and now this with his leading man Trujillo, truly exemplifies the type of class Huizar's stock comes from. Can any smart person out there guess which stock?

How amazing that 5:10 defends the email that Trujillo's own boss found so offensive that he fired its author.
Welcome to the world of Huizar's loyal fanatics.
