Assemblyman Mike Gatto's slate loses big time in 43rd Assembly District Democratic Delegate Elections
"Will the infant Assemblyman make it to political puberty?"
"Mikey may need a stiff drink after these election results, kinda like the night before the Burbank Veteran's Day observance?"
"Mikey may need a stiff drink after these election results, kinda like the night before the Burbank Veteran's Day observance?"
Judging from the recent musings of a certain stay at home blogger, infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto was quickly growing into the role of potential democratic power-broker in Sacramento. But there are pratfalls galore, when accepting the spin-crafted political personas of Parke Skelton as reality. After all, we are well-verse in the follies of one Tony Villar, turned Fail Mayor Antonio, soon to be again, Villar.
Thus, with Assemblyman Mike Gatto's ambitious political agenda catching the attention of those who observe from home. One would of expected Assemblyman Mike Gatto's slate in this weekend's 43 Assembly District Democratic Delegate Elections, to barrel their way (with Kevin H. leading the way?) to victory. But a funny thing happen ...........
According to reliable sources, Assemblyman Gatto's slate lost eight out of the twelve delegates slots, which according to one person, is "unprecedented for a sitting assembly person". It seems that despite all the phone calls from Assemblyman Gatto and his political confidant Stacey Brenner, he could only get four of his slate elected. One source stated to me that Gatto was frantic to gain the support of as many elected delegates as possible, with the looming redrawing of assembly district boundaries. Could this dismal show of support from his own 43rd District democrats become a precursor of a brutal democratic battle in a newly-drawn district in 2012?
But as Gatto contemplates his political future, he can rely on political friends such as Chahe Keuroghelian who was seen yakking it up with the Gatto supporters, especially Glendale Democrat Laurie Collins.
So not all is lost for the infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto with friends like Chahe still willing to stand by him.
Your thoughts...............

They're related, only Scott is the "crying baby" about CLARTS (because his pet projects didn't get any).

See, this is the problem with you, Red Spot.
YOUR attempts to derail Gatto, including your EXPOSED LIES about him being evicted, and all the other LIES that you were FORCED to apologize for and retract, didn't keep him from getting the gig.
He has the gig, and it doesn't matter what you write now, although you'll be smacked down should you lie some more. So will Higby.
The bottom line: Gatto has POWER and makes $190,000 per year.
You have ZERO power, and you make Worker Comp money and live in Ramona Gardens.
We don't have to ask whose life people would want to live, Gatto's or yours. They say that "living well is the best revenge."
Ha ha ha, lol, good one!

Red Spot, you couldn't POSSIBLY mean PITFALLS, could you? It would be pretty stupid to say pratfalls and mean pitfalls.

Red Spot, do you mean the same reliable sources who gave you the information that got Higby a letter with a threat that he'll get his ass sued if he didn't retract your false claims, such as the one in which you FALSELY claimed that Gatto was evicted from a building IN WHICH HE NEVER LIVED?
WHO ELSE BUT RED SPOT??????

My primary thought, since you asked, is that you're DYING to have a job, influence and salary like Gatto has.
I never met either of you, but it's very clear who hasn't grown up to accept the results of the election.
He won.
He got the gig
He got the money
He got the power
You work for free for Mayor Sam and you're illiterate.

Scott,
I'm not sure you're one to tell ANYBODY about maturity.
Look at your life and tell us exactly what you have going for you. From here, it doesn't look like much. Enlighten us, sweetie, about how your life is better than Gatto's.

Hello Red Spot?
I planted an error in one of my comments. Can you find it, goofball?

I live in Gatto's district. I supported Nayiri Nahabedian but she ran a very weak campaign and simply did not stand a chance against the well-organized Gatto.
Of course, I am not happy about Gatto's win but I am willing to watch how he serves and outreaches to our district. So far, it has bee week to fair but I'll wait a year to see how his service turns out. Either he becomes a good Assemblyman or he used my area to add a nice thing to his resume in order to get a better legal position or perhaps a Judicial appointment.
Trust me, if I am not happy about Gatto, I'll call him more than a cry baby come early 2012.

Why all the hate for Red Spot?
Is he the one who humilated Gatto in his own district. The loser cant get a 100 people out to an party meeting to win 12 delegates after he and his staff worked the phones for the past week.
Felipe Fuentes won 12 out of 12 on Saturday in a walk. The problem is this emperor lacks any clothes or legitimacy.

So Chahe was there supporting Gatto, boy what a surprise.

Red Spot, you write in circles so twisted that I don't have a clue what the fuck you're talking about.
The grammar is bad enough. But can you stop talking in vagueness? You didn't spend a goddamn day in community college journalism class if you're writing like this. JUST TELL THE FUCKING STORY and stop trying to write clever. It's not clever. It's only confusing us.

I have no hate for Red Spot. He insists on writing like a four year old, even though I've corrected him on his grammatical mess for many months.
He lies when he says he "studied journalism in community college." So I'm pointing out that he's a liar. Nothing more, nothing less. But it's not hate.

My hate for Red Spot is that he can't accept defeat. Gatto won, yet this crybaby continues on. And that's not even considering the fact that he posted LIES and SLANDER that a lawyer forced Higby to retract and delete. Red Spot got us to all invest time in CRAP that ultimately had to be taken down.

Stacy Brenner has her job because she is related to Brad Sherman and she has a long-running cozy relationship with Mike Gatto. But, to be successful running an office, you have to be smart. And, as much as she tries, Stacy Brenner is no Brad Sherman.
I would also like to know what happened to Suzy Jacobs. Let's get some substantial reporting on that. Thank you.

I have to say as someone who was there that Mike Gatto didn't even ask for my vote. I came because a Council member in Burbank asked me to be there but not once did he get out of his little corner and ask me for my vote.
The young man who ran the group against Mike was really quite impressive he asked me and a member of my family for their vote and explained why he and his group of candidates in a very humble way. So naturally I voted for his group. Happy to hear at least 8 of my choices were successful.

The power that Gatto has is as a lawmaker. It's the same job you'd call powerful if Sunder Ramani had won.
It's called Sour Grapes.
And my suggestion is only that Red Spot, a loser's loser by any definition, is jealous that Gatto rose above the attacks and won. And that Red Spot is jealous of the income that people that Gatto and Huizar get. It's something that Red Spot could never figure out to get for himself so he could have a life too.
I would normally accept everyone's allegations about these two IF ONLY they had been explained in a calm, mature way. I'm in a far distant Council District and don't know a wit about the allegations. But when allegations are delivered in a childish way, by a middle-aged man who has a history of childish posts, neither I, nor most people, will take it seriously.
So, yes, these guys both have the power to enact laws and have an income and a platform that Red Spot can only dream of. The fact that Red Spot ACTIVELY CHOOSES to present these silly posts without even running spellcheck shows that he doesn't care enough to be precise, let alone accurate.

Stacy Brenner was really twisting my arm on Sunday, to vote for Gatto's slate. She was not very persuasive. If she is, in fact, related to Brad Sherman, she must be like the dumb sibling who gets a job in the family business and runs it into the ground.

Didn't Mike Gatto's campaign suggest that Paul Krekorian should be put in jail, because he had a conversation with Chahe Keuroglian? Is this the way Democrats should treat each other in this area? I had never heard such a intra-Party slur in my 15 years of involvement in Democratic Politics. And, Mike Gatto wonders why so many people simply hate him. That's right. They find Gatto to be 100-percent sleaze and ambition driven. That's not good.
SH said:
What do you mean "Red Spot doesn't have any income?" He gets paid off by Eric Hacopian. And clearly tipped by the likes of Steve Ferguson, who everyone knows comments here.
(An aside: Steve, your comments are really pretty obvious.)
How else do you expect such a lame story?
Gatto didn't run a slate, the activists asked him to. I don't think he really cared, but he had to give it the college try.
You know who did care though? Paul Krekorian. Thus, someone needs to get a life. Paul, you're no longer the Assemblyman. Running your Press Deputy who lost was really was pretty lame, and yet another stupid move by a bitter angry man.
I am hearing rumors of you getting taken behind the woodshed soon anyway. Hacopian blackballed by the Party. State Senators testifying in a Grand Jury against FF.
The local activists will never forgive Krekorian for appearing in Ramani ads.
What exactly did you win again? A few unpaid slots out of how many?

The funniest thing about all these comments is the grasping at things. It's precisely the implications that make Red Spot so hideously dumb.
We get it, you're a Republican hack, so you don't know Gatto. The man is a health nut. I'd be shocked if he ever ties one on. That's why your earlier ridiculousness about drugs were laughable to all who know him. In fact, rumor is he let Jacobs go because of her, er, habits.
You just set yourself up for another libel suit, which everyone cheered by the way. A guy has food poisoning, tried to speak through it at the Vets thing, and you insinuate he was drinking. So lame! Who's payroll you on this week?

Someone just wrote that Suzy Jacobs "habits" got her fired. What does that mean? She worked very successfully for Jack Scott and Paul Krekorian. I suspect she was fired for the following reason:
-- Gatto works for Sherman.
-- Gatto gets to know Stacy, Sherman's relative, intimately, during his time with Sherman.
-- Sherman pulls out all the stops to support Gatto. -- Sherman's relative, Stacy, gets the highest (or almost highest salary) working for Gatto.
-- And, Stacy and Gatto get to spend a lot of time together.
-- Your tax dollars at work.

Semi:
I have been keeping, and will continue to keep, a low-profile regarding the Gatto-Camp complaints, smears and libels of my reporting of the 43rd AD campaign in 2010. The courtroom, unfortunately, is where I may eventually have to clear my name. A waste of time & money, but that’s how Gatto plays his games.
In over 25 years as a reporter, I have interviewed politicians, and produced television reports, from three state capitols and two world capitals…and spent the late 1980s covering Capitol Hill in D.C.
I interviewed Bill Richardson, Dick Cheney, Trent Lott, John Dingell, Carl Levin, Phil Gramm and almost 100 other Members of Congress. I have never seen anyone go to the lengths, to which Mike Gatto and his supporters have gone, in order to desecrate the First Amendment. I have asked tougher questions, over the past three years, of congressmen in Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana. None of them retaliated against me like Mike Gatto. Perhaps we should chalk that up to Gatto’s youthful inexperience or perhaps, more likely, his integrity-deficient character. He does, after all, have a track record.
The Committee to Protect Journalists (www.cpj.org) keeps tabs on journalists, around the globe, who are harassed, threatened, jailed and murdered. It is nothing new that when you try to ask tough questions of elected officials, some will attack you, instead of answering. Unfortunately, for Mike Gatto, this is the United States of America, not Burma. But, he’s still applying the mentality of a Third-World dictator in trying to intimidate those who report the truth about him. Luckily, for Gatto’s victims, he cannot use a weapon.
You are more than aware that Gatto’s attorney sent a threatening letter to one blogger (Mayor Sam), who believed he had no choice but to crumble in the face of a sitting State Assemblyman taking him on. It would be interesting to know how many of Gatto’s colleagues have had to do the same thing. Probably none of them. Somehow Mike Gatto is the biggest victim of the First Amendment in Sacramento.
Enough on that subject. More exciting, is that on January 25, Burbank Magazine will be receiving 5 Golden Mike Awards from the RTNA, the Radio and Television News Association of Southern California @ the Universal Hilton. Only KCET’s SoCal Connected, with 7, will be receiving more Golden Mikes. KCET did it with a 2 million dollar budget. BTV6, now known as, “The Burbank Channel,” did it with a $25,000 total budget.

My sources tell me that Gatto was not hung over, nor was he suffering from food poisoning.
Supposedly, the night before the Burbank Veteran Day event, Gatto went in for a double session at the beauty parlor...for his periodic Eyebrow Laser procedure.
The double session caused dizziness and, thus, he became nauseous.
Mystery solved, in my book, but feel free to double check with the Mike, the greatest legislator since Fabian.
