Baca Backs Brown
-Sheriff Lee Baca, a Republican, has endorsed Jerry Brown for Governor of California. "Jerry Brown has championed the rights of crime victims, toughened criminal penalties and developed innovative crime-fighting technologies,” Baca said in the statement. “Jerry Brown has always stood with me and my deputies and I am proud to stand with him in his campaign for governor.”
-Sheriff Baca is also speaking about the 21,000 illegal immigrants he has handed over to the Feds since becoming top county cop. "The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, in conjunction with ICE [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement] and our county jails, have interviewed 52,591 people in our jail system arrested for crimes from murder to drunk driving."

Lee Baca, the Lucy Charm of Politics. Whoever he backs usually wins 95-98% of the time. I was undedicided, so guess Meg will lose another Latino vote.
Baca is a Democrat. He converted a few years ago. Most big city police leaders have or they act like it because the leadership of the City or the County is almost exclusively Democratic and they have to tow the party line.

To top it off, Blumenthal, WHO LIED ABOUT SERVING IN VIETNAM, said that he wants to go to Washington and "be an entrepreneur" to!
He was more believable when he was lying about serving in Vietnam.

Baca's endorsement is nothing more than a reflection of what a centrist dumbass, of whom there are plenty throughout the state, are thinking about the race. Centrist dumbasses, not leftwing or rightwing dumbasses, determine who wins elections. Baca going for Brown is very telling of what centrist dumbasses think. If Brown wins the centrist dumbass vote, he will certainly win.

Higby is right Baca might be registered Republican but he has endorsed every Democrat for office for some time including Phil Angelides, Obama, Feinstein, Boxer, Laurette Healey, Krekorian, Mark Ridley Thomas, Fabian Nunez, Hilda Solis, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom and many others. He also supports all the bonds and taxes on the ballot. If he is Republican he is RINO.
Of course Baca is for Brown. Brown protects the unions and their pensions.
