This is the second to last day of having to suffer the outbursts of the child who has promised to return to Malibu after he loses this election.
The moment of truth comes today/tonight.
The moment of relief comes tomorrow.
It's Paul and Chris.
Paupers need not apply.
I want to wish all the candidates, even the Big 3, good luck today. Thank you all for taking part in the democratic process, and exposing yourselves to comment, criticism and condemnation. I'm sure it's not much fun to read the blogs and see "anonymous" saying things about you that he or she would never say to your face. But that's the price of democracy. Thank you all.
In fairness, if Essel DOES make the runoff, she should thank Shallman. I live in Valley Village and the Essel mailers were by far and away the most creative. I have them all laid out on my dining room table, including the Galatzan mailers which I found very confusing. Krekorian's mailers all pretty much look the same as each other and like every other political mailer we ever see.
I admit, I'm a Nuch fan and still love the lapdog brochure he did with puppy dog Weiss on Tony V's lap. That's one I won't throw away.
I don't care what everyone says, that took some balls to put that out there--which is one reason I liked it so much.
Hacopian must be stopped.

Doug MacIntyre just said on his show in the last part of the 8 am hour that if he were voting in this race he would vote for Mary BENSON!

It's Krekorian in a walk.
I'm voting for Mary, but agree with 7:28. Wish she had Essel's money and mail.
Mary Benson would be the "doer" and not a "sayer" that CD 2 needs in City Council.
Tamar Galatzan has the protential to do the same if she breaks her ties from an notorious "sayer" on the Third Floor at City Hall.
But Spot she hasn't and won't! Don't ya know the Galatzan campaign is run by the 80 FAKE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCHES crowd?
Put your CD14 glasses on and get a clue man! You know better. Tamar has some mighty powerful Kool-Aid but I've found margaritas to preferable.
Take it from someone who once drank the Villaracola and learned from it!
Zuma Dogg has all along told you that Tamar is "Goes Along Galatzan" and is in the Mayor's $2 million getaway car. And Zuma is always right on these things.

I worry that there will be no 12-step program that will help you kick your "KRACKORIAN" addiction.
Then there are endorsements from Kevin De Leon and John Perez, a Nunez crony and Villar relative respectively.
I think these guys have close ties to the Mayor.
And how about those 12,000 FAKE DOLLARS PAID TO EX. VILLAR STAFFER FOR CAMPAIGN CONSULTING??
Did he somehow jump away from the Ethics website.
Did Hacopian kidnap him during a Campaign Black Ops??
Is he being waterboarded for secret information about Tamar.

Last night, Krekorian's press secretary Jeremy Oberstein sent out a mass invitation to Krekorian's headquarters tonight, to "any bloggers interested in live-blogging election night, or covering the evening's festivities." Word is that the refreshments will be first-class catered fare, a spread keeping with the style of Krekorian, whose campaign chest is stuffed with special interest cash from big labor and others with a vested interest in keeping the status quo at City Hall. The cash pouring into Krekorian over the summer turned this Burbank politician into one of the "haves" in this race, up against the have-nots.
First Krekorian talked down to the seven highly committed Valley activists who are running for CD 2 today, describing this special election to replace the departed Wendy Greuel as "not being a time for amateurs."
That was a not-very-subtle putdown of seven serious candidates on the ballot today, all of them with long histories of civic activism and solving community problems, several of them veterans of the Neighborhood Council system, many of whom have learned to navigate the government bureaucracy and certainly don't qualify as amateurs.
Even David Saltsburg, best known as Zuma Dogg, the sometimes-homeless City Hall provocateur, is no amateur. He actually does understand how City Hall works and catches the Los Angeles City Council at bad behavior. It's a big job for a guy without a permanent address, to watchdog a richly paid City Council best known for its bumbling -- for example, the council has played the key role in enabling the city's illegal billboards, illegal pot industry, illegal apartment densities, ad nauseum.
Mary Benson?
When Tamar has 7,000 absentee ballots for her (they stuffed the box) then you will know that Higby is right about ZD.
Oh Higby is right about ZD, that's for sure. What none of you seem to realize is that all 3 of the "big 3" are tied seriously to Villaraigosa. All three.
Money surely does buy votes. That makes me scared of the average population.
