City Controller Wendy Greuel sharing "CD 2 Talking Points" with Chris Essel.According to the City of Los Angeles Ethics Commmission Website, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades is buying $35,000 worth of TV time for the Chris Essel Campaign in CD 2. Tomorrow, Friday September 17, 2009 is the last Ethics Commission financial reporting deadline before Tuesday's election.

Wendy has shown her true colors with this endorsement. I double dog dare her to step foot in Sunland/Tujunga again.

Well, the next mayor ain't going to be Wendy, we'll see to that. One empty suit endorsing another, doesn't = mayor. So that you know, there is a category for elections called Independent Expenditures that allows donations from "independent" sources that doesn't fall under the $500. maximum donation rule. Essel's tv ads are paid for under this. Although legal, it's just another way to get the big donations from the unions and lobbyists.
How can Wendy go before TV and say "....I have fought for real ethics reform...." when D`Arcy bought for her the Controller`s office for $250,000! Hypocricy to the nth degree. As they say "Birds of a feather".
It's a good ad and might even be enough to get her in the runoff. All of the top 3 are very close and this helps Essel a lot.
I've heard Wendy called a lot of things, and D'Arcy did buy her election for hundreds of thousands vs. Nick's $35,000 total when she panicked - but I've never heard anything as "creative" as 7:22's.

And would Ed Reyes like being considered the yardstick for "paupers?" Maybe not, but he sure is "TJ in the Hills" Reyes to Red Spoot. Verrrry interesting...

Wendy's election was bought by IBEW, which outspent Nick some 10:1 to do it. They were about half her funds, so she spent 20:1 to beat Nick and a no-name Suzy Evans.
Essel's poll was paid for by a group headed by IBEW and D'Arcy. They are the tools to finally get Measure B through.
The clumsy way they tried to ram that through mobilized the opposition and worked against the mayor's alleged buddy (with friends like that...) Weiss, and Galatzan understands how hated B was. Essel doesn't seem aware of the baggage she's associated with.
Wendy-Mayor it`s an oxymoron.
The small 7 need to throw their support behind one to get that person in the runoff against the Mayor's machine. We have to keep working to get rid of the Mayor. Voting against his endorsed candidates is the best way to register your unhappiness where where the City is going.
We have learned as the campaign evolved that Essel is an empty skirt, not smart, buffoon, double talker, incompetent, a puppet of the Unions, but now we know she is also a LIAR.
Why a liar? She accuses P. Krekorian
of supporting the development of condos on the Verdugo Hills Golf Course in Tujunga, which is an outright LIE!!

The majority of you angry whiny people are some of the most naive, unrealistic kool-aid hallucinogenic drinkers, and probably live in Sunland Tujunga , (talk about a disorganized community and strip of tattoo parlors and machine shops with meth in the back lot!) You also want to believe the worst dirt and are perpetually upset if someone (a candidate) is organized, professional with some backing. And has a good chance of winning.
Why don't you try meeting some of these candidates and try to develop a relationship and common ground.
