Memo to the third floor Mayoral staff that troll for babes for "AV."There's a hot new prospective in town:
Alycia Lane is coming to Channel 4 on August 19 as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter. She takes over as the weekend evening anchor from Kim Baldonado, who last month was promoted to anchor the Monday-Friday Midday Report and KNBC's weekly News Extra.
Lane, a perfect Mirthala or LuParker look alike is a half-Puerto Rican New York native. That probably would put to the rest the "Why are you dating a gabacha?" questions Tony gets. She's been embroiled in all kinds of fun stuf including allegedly sending racy photos of herself to a married television executive, allegedly beating up a New York cop, making homophobic remarks and a former married co-anchor of Lane's admitted to have an improper relationship with her. And she speaks fluent Spanish too.

I bet the third floor boys are camped outside KNBC right now!

have you all noticed how fat Antonio has gotten. So has Huizar. They are looking pretty out of shape these days. Eric Spillman got his public records act answered...well sort of.
After some prodding and a formal California Public Records Act request, L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's office has finally released some details on his 8-day junket to South Africa, which began the day after he was sworn in for his second term in July.
The trip included business class airfare, stays at two luxury hotels that charged $1200-a-night, and three days of safaris at a private game reserve.
There was also a helicopter sight-seeing tour of the Cape, a visit to a South African vineyard, various side trips, gourmet meals, and a black-tie banquet.
Total cost reported by the Mayor's office was $17,341.06, all of it paid for by a Washington-based foundation called The Academy of Achievement, which brings together outstanding graduate students and "scholars, achievers, and honorees" to "exchange ideas
It's likely city taxpayers did have to pay for the Mayor's security. (He always travels with his LAPD security detail, says his spokesman Matt Szabo). But so far we haven't been able to find out how much that might have cost. The LAPD has rejected our request for that information, citing concerns about the Mayor's safety if that dollar figure was released. We'll keep trying to learn what it was.

Tell Trujillo that when someone puts themselves voluntarily into the public's eye, such as getting elected to office or being on television, different rules apply. Even libel and slander laws.
How these people, who are role models as a result of their positions, conduct their lives is the public's business. They walked into the court of public opinion.
The Times wrote about her arrival and her troubles. It won't be long before the columnists and talk show hosts will be offering opinions. So what's wrong with Mayor Sam being first.

It's a joke that bimbos like Lu Parker or Alycia Lane are considered "journalists". With her background why was she hired for channel 4? Sounds more like she should be on the E! channel.

The problem with Antonio is his intense narcissism that just about matches his arrogance.

This IS tacky but one of the few cases where the subject merits the Mayor Sam treatment. Even Roderick posted her past and about how people wonder if she's really suited to being a "real" reporter.
Come on, a woman who emails bikini photos of herself to her married co-worker lover's WIFE by accident, who then posts it on gossip blogs, IS asking for the Waxing her Betty treatment.
