Mayor Sam ru endorsing Zuma Dogg?
Inquiring minds want to know. A direct yes or no answer would be appreciated.
I just read some stuff on the city website.
Am I the only one who missed Zuma Dogg's stating that his occupation was an "economist"?

If Zuma Dogg runs for CD2, I will personally ask the City Clerk's office to demand proof of his residency in the district.
If he doesn't come up with utility bills or a lease that is dated prior to submitting his application, he will be prevented from running.

How is Zuma an economist? People would respect him more if he just said he was homeless, and down on his luck.
If he is not an economist, and I can't imagine that he is one, it is dishonest to say that he is. And I mean someone who has at least held a paying job as an economist. Maybe that's okay to joke about on the blog, but people who don't follow blogs will see it as a joke if he's lying about being an economist in the traditional sense, as in some place paying him for actually being an economist.

How can Higby endorse ANYONE. I have not made a decision, although I probably won't be able to prevent myself from running, so let's just say it's a "Yes" on ZD. THE REST OF THE CANDIDATES HAVE NOT ANNOUNCED? HOW WOULD HE KNOW WHO HE ENDORSING, YET?
I should probably announce soon, if I AM going to run, because then it will scare off a lot of challengers who don't want to go against ZD cause it will just be wasting their time and money.

None of that is required, sorry. And for good reason, but go back and read the constitution and history of freedom, rights and the history of what this country was founded upon to figure out why.

Cry to the city attorney's office (rocky's) they approved the term "economist." It's not like saying, "Doctor,"Attorney," 'Broker." Now, THAT would be worth mentioning.
Look up the term economist: Someone who is economical is one definition or someone who studies the economy.
But with that said, when you look at what I predicted, far in advance, but right on time regarding everything from subprime to this budget crisis, including what the effects would be, and including the stock market and all the related global economic situation we are in...I'd say I'm an economist. If it walks like an economist and talks like an economist and is right every time with such uncanny and unconventional specificity, the words of Howard Stern's father comes to mind, "Shut up, sit down."
This is just the type of crbaby-loserism that will make me run, no matter how much I could never live with myself having to be a low-life, small potato, loser city councilmember. I guess it would be my punishment for not getting a proper,decent, upstanding job.
ZD if you care about the Constitution, then you don't mind OUR Constitutional rights to speak out if we don't support you and if we want a legitimately registered voter.
If you are registered to a particular address, that's great. But we owe it to the community to be sure that you have legitimately been a resident at that address.
The problem is that you have stated many times in writing on this and your own blog that you are homeless and "sleeping on the lawn of city hall."
The last time I checked, city hall is not in CD-2. And your claims that you are homeless and living at various parking meters counters your claim that you are a resident of CD 2.

If you do succeed in trying to challenge Zuma's residency with the City Clerk (remember they're all about self-affirmation these days anyway)you open up a whole kettle of fish as to CMs who don't actually live in their districts.
Oh - for the person who keeps asking if I endorse Zuma Dogg for CD2 - I don't know. First he has to announce and second I have to know who else is running. But if it were just ZD and Tamar, oh hell yea. And honestly Tamar would have trouble in some quarters against ZD. I would also ask ZD to do a few things differently as a candidate for Council than he did for Mayor but basically I would call on folks to let ZD be ZD.
Never really got all the hatred towards him - if he is what they say he is there is no need for it. But he's obviously been effective or people wouldn't be pissed.

I couldn't care less about what kettle of fish is opened about residency. The others are elected and in office because the few people who did vote did are limited and that's the way it goes.
I guarantee you, and you know it yourselves, that not a single person on city council will lose their position. It will not happen and you are a silly person if you think it will.

Trutanich cannot indict a public official because the jurisdiction of his office is limited to misdemeanors such as petty theft, prostitution, drug possession, dui, and similar offenses. Public corruption is not in his office's purview. It belongs to the DA or the US Attorney
Look for Paul Krekorian to run for CD 2 and that announcement will clear the field including the Mayor's puppet.
So your point makes my point dum dum. If the City Clerk isn't going to go after the Council people that we all know and don't love who live in other districts (or even cities) than the District they represent, they can't go after someone like Zuma Dogg and again, all he has to do is show up somewhere in CD2 and say he lives there. Homeless people get to register to vote without an address so if the City tried something the ACLU would be on them like Tom LaBonge on a parking meter.

But there are enough people in city hall who are reading this, who will make sure that your residency is thoroughly challenged. The can file a misdemeanor complaint against someone only; big stuff (felonies) are the province of the District Attorney.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa on Friday shuffled the deck of city commissioners, placing former Paramount Studios executive Christine Essel on the Airport Commission and naming Andrea Alarcon to the Board of Taxicab Commissioners.

Essel, 58, formerly senior vice president of government and community affairs for Paramount, in charge of strong-arming the city for tax breaks while giving nothing back to the community, was most recently the chair of the California Film Commission and begins serving as first vice president of the FilmLA Board, and now runaway film production has never been higher. She was first named to the Community Redevelopment Agency Board and served as the board chairwoman in 2005. The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is an evil body that has sucked the heart and soul out of the city by taking all the tax increment money earmarked to redevelop blight, and gives it to billionaires like Ansultz and Broad, for projects like Grand Ave Project.
Please vote for Villaraiogsa's commissioner appointment who was original chair of what many community activists consider to be the most evil, money sucking and community spirit robbing vampire of all time, the CRA. YEAH, vote for her. Jack Weiss isn't available.

THAT Richard Ziman of Wetherly, who threw a fundrasier for Jack Weiss where pension commissioners were forced to resign. Looks like Chirssie is his gal!
The boiling bi-coastal scandal involving Wetherly Capital Group, a New York pol and some Villaraigosa commissioners is likely the reason that Monday night's Beverly Hills fundraiser for congressional candidate Judy Chu had a last-minute change of top billing.
It was at the Ziman residence that a Jack Weiss fundraiser last month — co-hosted by Wetherly boss Dan Weinstein — led to the resignation of Kelly Candaele from the City Employees' Retirement System Board. (Sean Harrigan and Elliott Broidy resigned last week from Villaraigosa's Fire and Police Pensions board after receiving inquiries from the SEC.)

Concerned Citizen Footnote: (Also in attendance at the above mentioned fundraiser was former Governor Gray "Kicked the hell out of office" Davis who Wetherly Capital arranged a meeting with on behalf of Vivendi ("quid pro quo"/pay to play) in a meeting regarding a "white sheet" on what is now the current water crisis fame. Wetherly was to get 42,000 acres of Imperial Valley land in exchange for this meeting with Davis, but it kinda fell apart when ZD's, now infamous Wetherly Source, refused to go along for the election fraud and pay-to-play.)
But this is about the CD 2 election and the types of people who back the candidates. I guess all of this will eventually be dragged out if they are backing Chris Essel.
But what do I know? I'm just a concerned citizen. And no matter who you think this is, that IS...ALL that I am.
Villaraigosa also received $1,000 each from former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros and California Workforce Investment Board members.
Chris Essel is CHAIR of CALIFORNIA WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD. That are tied into the Henry Cisnero investments in L.A. workforce housing. This ended up being a BIG problem, as you know. And last week, during an L.A. Council meeting, one of the City pension experts cited the Cisnero's Workforce Housing as a the primary problem with Villaragiosa's pension board "packing power."
So Chris Essel is the Chair of that Board that worked with Cisneros on the investigated pension investment scheme that has ended up in a city bankrupting $7 billion pension loss in one year.
So yeah, vote for her to represent the community of Council District 2. The mayor needs a break.
Are you sure Chirs Essel is really going to run? I mean, I know Villaragiosa is out in the cold at LAX with no more juice whatsoever.
This loss of power was most recently seen last month when Villaragiosa's own LAX commissioner had no problem awarding the runway lighting project to the union OTHER than IBEW.
The commissioner told the IBEW to get lost, hence telling Villar to get lost and awarded the contract to the best bid, instead of strongest-arm bid.
So the IBEW is not too happy that Antonio lost THIS one too, along with Measure B.
So he's gotta get some LAX juice on City Council, and this LAX commissioner Chris Essel is well liked enough by people, and they'll never find out about all this other stuff. LET THE ZIMAN PITCHES BEGIN...OOOPS...what??? You mean all this stuff is easily accessible on the internet and it is exposed to thousands of people at a time on the blogs of "concerned citizen(s)?"

If ZD decides to run, it guarantees that the candidates with the most money will finish on top.
The reason is that few organizations will want to hold candidate debates if they have to waste time listening to the ramblings of a crazy person.
That means that an even greater value will be placed on mailings and media spots.
